Rover sent me an email on July 11 that they are testing "extended care rates." This means that the client entered a pickup time that exceeds the 24-hour increment. So you will be compensated for the additional time past the 24- hour period.

  • If the end time is scheduled 2-8 hours later than the start time on the first day, your clients will be charged an additional 50% of your daily rate. (Example: If your nightly rate is $30, your extended care rate for an additional 2-8 hours is $15.)

  • If the end time is scheduled 8+ hours later than the start time on the first day, your clients will be charged the full price of an extra day. (Example: If your nightly rate is $30, your extended care rate for an additional 8+ hours is $30.)

This FAQ in the Sitter Resource section has additional information:

Finally, Rover is addressing something sitters have been complaining about forever.

This is great. I just had a repeat client notice this on his most recent booking. He was very receptive to the extended rate.
