Walt is right. There is no set amount of time. You establish your own operating hours for dropoff and pickup. Basically, it should allow an owner to drop off their pet before work and then pick up afterward. Your window could be 7 am to 7 pm. You might also include some language about late/early pickups having a surcharge because that is something you may encounter, i.e., people taking advantage.

There is no hard and fast rule for how many hours are offered for daycare and many sitters set operating hours based on the needs and demographics of their area and clients. Many offer services for 8, 9, 10, and even up to 14 hours per day. Some will accept dogs as early as 6AM and allow pickups after 7PM or later.

Daycare is one of the least booked services on Rover yet many sitters report a reasonable business but with so many variables it would take a book to explain all the options and variables.

I wish you the best of luck with Rover as I see you are a new sitter.
