How do I get clients?

I've been a sitter for a few years and took a bit of a hiatus when I moved to Georgia. I'm trying to get back into it and understand that I have to promote myself to get business, however, when I search for sitters in the area, I don't even see myself on listed as a sitter and I have been updating my availability on the regular.

You are listed. You cannot see yourself when you are logged in as you. I've always found it works if I search using a different browser. But you are there.

Also, I used the map to focus in on Marietta because Rover's ridiculous search algorithm includes sitters in Atlanta on the initial pages when a person is asking about Marietta. It's totally useless. The map unfortunately is the only effective tool if location matters.

Looking at your profile shows your last review was in May 2018, many who may look at your profile may think you are no longer active. If I were you I'd be asking friends, family, and even former clients for testimonials, that should help you appear fresh and ready to work again. Best of luck, times for all sitters are hard at the moment.
