Hey there, I am brand new to Rover and am so excited to start walking dogs and taking care of them... However, what do you all suggest for someone just getting started? What is the best way to find new clients? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
If you are looking to walk dogs your calendar availability needs to be open M-F as most clients want weekdays, some every day M-F . Second, you need to ask friends and family to write testimonials for you as having zero reviews on your profile is the kiss of death. You may want to revisit your rates as $20 a walk is high compared to the majority of walkers $15 seems to be the average. Getting started is never easy so best of luck to you.
I started this month and it’s been really fun! I posted on my FB page with a link to my profile and gained a doodle puppy as a repeat client and a drop in client 4 days a week. I’m also part of the community page, local to my area and when neighbors post looking for pet sitter, I share them my rover profile. It also is super helpful that I am staying within my area and not venturing out too much.
