Sitters: Do you have liability or commercial insurance?

A pet owner asked me on a recent meet and greet how the 'liability thing works.' And I had to admit I didn't know. I shared that we all have to pass a background check and then later forwarded her the link to the rover guarantee.

BUT, the guarantee is not insurance and I wondered who can suggest something that would fill in the blanks and cover for the 'what ifs.' What have you got?

Thanks!

Rover does not provide insurance, while the guarantee may cover vet bills, you as a sitter have zero liability coverage. There are 4 primary Pet Sitter liability insurance companies for US-based businesses. All of the insurance carriers are responsive and respected.

Rates start around $130 a year depending on the services you offer and how many people you are covering and your level of deductible.
