Do you like Rover Q&A community? I changed the title of the question?

Actually I'm trying to see how many Rover's are active in the forum, so up vote the post, please.

and or drop a comment!!

I thnk there's about 5 people that use this forum, and that includes Rover staff

What Rover staff?

Exactly 😃

So far we have 28 views and 2 others have commented - this forum is deader than a door nail

It's hard to say no because I did find some useful information here. However, I'm still waiting on my first question to be approved by a moderator. I posted it on August 21st and it's still pending. It does make me wonder what's exactly is happening here.

I got 12 whole upvotes so far on the other post. I don't know if I can handle so much attention.

Just asking about walkers? Then, that counts me out. ;-)

Since we're on the topic, does anyone having a problem with post notifications on this forum, in the sense that the 'mark as seen' and 'delete' options don't work? The little envelope at the top of screen stays red because it won't let me do either.

Comments

I don't use them often but in the past, they worked for me

Gosh, I hardly ever use the red envelope to see activity. Didn't know it would change colors either. Live and learn.

Guess this is just more breakdown of the page. Anyone thinking Titanic here? :(

The Leaderboard shows 473,600 users here given at least one treat at one time, without reference to current activity.

The other Q&A community leaderboard shows users given treats for different time frames.
(At one time 230 users, which in past year went down to 130 users, past 6 months 67 users, past 30 days 23 users, and past 7 days 5 authors). These statistics likely are representative of both forums. The participation rate, which used to have a lot more activity, is in single digits now.

Add'n: I think there are multiple factors why the boards' participation declined. Yes, holding off postings is one. Lack of engaging topics led by moderator is another. Sometimes it was tied to a contest, but sometimes it was just thought/opinion provoking conversation or encouragement to share a recent rover guest photo. It seems Rover is pushing to all use FB (Ugh!), rather than these forums, which I can only guess is revenue based, cost/benefit, ROI decision.

But the real number is less than 10 are active, sad but it is what it is

Maybe a more interest-provoking question...let me give it a try....

Holding any/all new postings is the reason for the decline. Rover continues to display a lack of commitment to either community. Maybe I should write the CTO and see if he is willing to do something, like have one of us do the moderating or find out why Rover staff isn't.

@Karen - contacting the CTO would be appreciated

@Deb, the HQ Facebook group has 5K+ sitter/walker members. It is a very active group with lots of daily posts. Sorry to see this forum sunsetting but maybe it outserved its original purpose.

I wish there was more participation in it, it has the potential to be a great resource.

@Walt - Done!

How long do they hold posts? I posted maybe two weeks ago and it hasn't showed up yet. I'm afraid they wont post it at all, but I'm seeking advice on if it's possible for me to try to get business on this site. I'm thinking of going elsewhere, but I don't want to cause I paid for the full background check and so that would be a waste of money. My first requester probably didn't read my profile and it wasn't a good fit at all because dog was not cat friendly and it seemed owner was also lying about the size of dog and it was over my size limit. So now my score is dinged before I even got any business. That was my only request. Does anyone know if I can still get business on this site with a bad score?

Hi, everyone! I discovered the message boards a couple of hours ago by accident (google search & followed a link). I’m happy I found them.
