I am new to Rover and I have posted on social media outlets to try and bring customers in but I haven't received any in the last 2 weeks. How can I get more customers coming my way?

I recently moved to the LA area last August and don't know many people to increase my clientele base.

Are you familiar with https://nextdoor.com/ - I have posted on there a couple of times and it seems to bring in people- Good Luck!

My first observation of your profile is you have the kiss of deathwith zero reviews. You must ask family and friends to submit testimonals for you, that helps bump you in searches. https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/ar... And where are the dog pictures? Clients looking for a sitter or walker look at pictures to help them pick an initial sitter. And add a picture to your dogs profile, it helps

I would remove this from your about me this type of job would be perfect to make some additional money Mentioning that you are doing this just for the money isn't prudent. Your about me needs to differentiate you from other sitters to make you stand out so you may want to rethink this.

Studio City has a large sitter community so that also means stiff competition. Best of luck and success

Great Answer. Whether you work for Rover Full/Part time, it is important to be the best fit. Extra money, Hustling and other things won't work and of course, you have to be willing to have the meet and greets.

And at the very least get the extensive background check for 15 dollars more. Your potential clients will appreciate that and I would highlight that you don't have pets so you can do house sitting in your profile.

Another thing that might help is bringing in business cards to the vet that you take your pup to. Peanut's adorable! they might be willing to display some cards for you in front of other pet owners. Good luck!

How should I ask my vet about holding my business card

I assume LA has Rover Now? That's really how I got going. Reviews are crucial so by doing Now walks you get those reviews and likely a few regular clients from it. I also did business cards in pet stores and my vet, but the reviews and a well written profile are the two biggest things! Rover has good tips on profile writing, and I searched local sitters and read their profiles to help give me ideas. Also beware that what you write will attract certain people! I get a lot of dogs with issues that need extra care because of my profile, but I am happy to work with dogs. also keeping your calendar updated does put you higher in the search.

Have things improved based on all of these recommendations? This is Textbook Rover and super-great people responded.

I agree with some of the comments above, I definitely had a few friends post things about their experiences with me and their pets to get things started. I then bought a shirt and business cards for advertising. I posted on my social media page and had many of my friends share it on theirs to extend the exposure. I also joined the local town message boards and posted there. Once you get your first few bookings with confirmed stays, you'll easily pop to the top of the list. I will say, the positive reviews are huge - many people have told me they read them and make their decisions based on them.
