Sitter Insurance?

Hi, am curious what thoughts are regarding separate insurance as a sitter. Obviously Rover can't protect / cover the sitter from different scenarios and potential problems. What type of insurance do you have, what kind of coverage?Do I even need it at all while being under the Rover umbrella?

Thanks!

Great question as the Rover guarantee provides nothing for the sitter! I highly recommend you cover yourself as soon as possible.

There are 4 primary Pet Sitter liability insurance companies for US-based businesses. All of the insurance carriers are responsive and respected. Rates start around $130 a year depending on the services you offer and how many people you are covering and your level of deductible.

Great question! I had an incident where I was bit by an animal and assumed Rover had checked the vaccines. I am doing this as a side job and didn't think I needed it. Now I do!
