How do you avoid flakey meet and greets?
Hoping this is the right question to ask. We are new to Rover and have spent a lot of time making our profile attractive, uploading the right pictures, taking the certifications that Rover offers to add to your profile, even went as far as submitting to RoverGo. We have a designated place with mats and kennels we purchase JUST to do this sort of thing.
While we are relatively new, but have yet to book a client. We have had several inquiries-- even booked a meet & greet. People book our dates and ask questions, but then never respond back. For the meet and greet-- we didn't hear back from the girl who visited and we thought we would have been a great fit, but then when we asked why she said she found someone else.
This is frustrating especially while we have invested so much time and money just for potential client's to not take us seriously.. While I feel the meet and greet option COULD be beneficial, I honestly feel it has been a big waste of my time. I wish they gave you a feedback option for clients to put in why they did not choose to go through you. Rover already takes a portion of income, but there seems to not be any support on how to hit the ground running.
Feeling frustrated. Feed back greatly appreciated....
Well, I've been doing this for about a year and a half now. Most of my Meet & Greets go quite well. I don't know what my conversion rate is (because I don't keep track) but its roughly around 75% or better.
I don't have any magic bullet solution for you, but what I have started doing lately is I tell them just to contact me an hr. before the time they want to come and I'll arrange to meet them. That way the odds of them flaking are a bit less.
