What is the protocol for charging for boarding?

A dog boarded in my home for 2 overnights (a full 48 hours). Is it reasonable to charge extra for 3 walks per day? Or does the boarding fee benchmark include these types of services?

My boarding fee is all-inclusive. It covers feeding, walking, playing, administering meds, etc. Dogs in my care are walked a minimum of 3x a day and may need to be let out more frequently into the secure backyard for quick potty breaks. Rover defines boarding as up to 24 hours of pet care. IMO, pet care does include potty breaks/walks. However, you can charge as you like but just be sure it is clearly communicated to the client and that they understand you charge a la carte.

I agree with the others. My boarding fee includes all care for the dog - walks, potty breaks, feeding, meds if needed, etc. It is an all-inclusive fee, and I think clients appreciate that fact. However, since we are all independent contractors, each sitter can run their business however they want.

As independent contractors what ancillary services we offer during a booking is our own decision. Personally, if I am boarding multiple walks are included each day. However some sitters will differ and want to charge the client extra, so it's your call
