Brand spankin new sitter and I have some questions that I can't seem to find anywhere?

Hello, I don't mean to be dense here but I need some help or maybe pointed in the right direction. I am new as a sitter for Rover and I am having a very difficult time finding a compilation or checklist for a new sitter. I see all of these scattered articles but I don't even know what to look for. Today I did my first drop in visit and feel like I blew it majorly, as the owner was very unhappy with a few things she knew needed doing but I didn't. So she became very irate, understandably so, which in turn turned my day into crap. Who likes being yelled at? Anyway, is there one central place that lists everything required for a visit, or even what kind of paperwork I should have the owner fill out this early on. Most importantly, as I head on my 2nd attempt at this tomorrow for the same woman, how do I check in and out and what do I send in the "report" and photo to satisfy the owner? I appreciate any words of info and/or encouragement anyone may have as I seriously rethought doing this all together this evening. Much thanks in advance. S

What sorts of things didn't you do that she was expecting?

I have a little planner and an index card with my new client questions with me at all times ( i basically took the rover checklist and catered it to my experiences):

Also are you using the ROVER cards and the app on your phone? You should be able to do everything through there. Is the pet parent using it as well?

What is a Rover card. I am also new here and have a meet & greet today HELP

From the Help Center: https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/articles/211573246-What-are-Rover-Cards-and-how-do-I-send-them- There's a search box, so you can also look up the Rover checklist for meet & greets, a good starting point& other reference.

Drop in's are pretty easy, I'm not sure what she was expecting from you. You show up, start the card, access the property, take care of the animal(s) (perhaps going on a walk or letting them into the backyard to potty), refresh water and give them food if it's meal time, play with the pet, secure the animal(s) and building when you leave, and stop the card. Anything extra required should have been made clear from the client (including taking out trash, checking the mail, giving medications, etc).

Client expectations should have been discussed at the meet and greet so you were sure what things you were supposed to do. But if you got blasted for not doing things today you should now know what they want - to make sure you do them on your next visit.

You should be using the Rover App to start and end the event from your today screen, there you can provide pictures and a note of how the visit went. Best of luck to you
