Here's a start:

Pros: Spending time with pets. Highly active profession (may not need the gym much after so many walks, bends&squats while playing with dogs). You'll develop pet photography skills. You'll learn a lot about pets (breeds, training, nutrition, meds., etc.), as well as your own preferences. Your pet may enjoy you building his/her social network of friends to spend time with. Rover helps you build client base (interested pet parents contact you) and offers support along the way (helps with communications, the entire booking through payment process, and dealing with issues)

Cons: Pet sitting is often an unstable/seasonal source of income, with peaks & valleys. If boarding, need to take all family member's needs (including your pet) into consideration. If boarding, need to prepare your home in order to reduce damages and understand there will still be some. If providing services at the pet's home, which you may need to drive to, need to consider wear&tear on vehicle Be prepared for nature's unpleasantness - besides output from all orifices, at times pets will have accidents, get sick, and need meds. Some pets may have demeanor/personality traits that are not best matched to you & your family.
