Supplemental Insurance to Cover Me?

Good morning!

I don't plan on doing dog boarding in my home, so this is different than the home insurance questions. I'm just wondering as a walker/drop-in Rover sitter, do you recommend getting a supplemental insurance plan to cover me incase I get bitten or hurt while watching a pup?

I know Rover's insurance only covers the dogs in my care, so I'm wondering the best way to go about it. I know the medical bills can be huge from a dog bite, so trying to be cautious. I also realize that this is why meet & greets are so important, you can get a big sense of who the dog is by spending time with him/her beforehand, but I'm just looking to cover all my bases.

If you have an insurance policy to cover you, could you share who you have it through?

Thank you all in advance! Alyssa

Many Rover sitters find it prudent to carry independent business insurance, you should. There are 4 primary pet business insurance companies for US-based businesses. All of the insurance carriers are very responsive. Make a list of all your questions and ask them of all.
