Constructive criticism on my profile?

Hey guys! I recently joined Rover and am wondering if I filled out my profile well. I'm going to get a few more testimonials over the next few days, but is there anything else I should change or add? Do I sound too stiff or unprofessional?

Thanks in advance!

Hopefully you take this kindly..... I'm just going to list things that jumped out at me.

Need more pictures! Right now you have 3.

Rates are scary low. Especially for California. It makes it seem like you're inexperienced, or don't know your worth, or might have sticky fingers and pricing doesn't matter.....none of these are true but that's the only reasons I can think of why you're about $20 less than the competition.

Why put that your pets aren't friendly? That puts both of you in a bad light. Omit that entire statement. Also I notice you don't have profiles created for your pets? It would be nice to have that since you mention them.

House sitting you don't do Saturday night? That will greatly limit the requests you receive because most people do weekend trips.

You list you can do injected meds but not regular meds? Or senior dog care? I would include those. Also do the "Dog 101 Quiz" so you can add that badge to your profile.

Ask more people for testimonials. They don't have to be ones with pets. Just anyone who can say something about your character and abilities.

Hope that helps, best wishes!

I concur with everything Serina has mentioned. Just get rid of that sentence about your own pets not being friendly. You don't have to give an explanation why you don't offer boarding. It isn't relevant.

Also, saying that pet sitting isn't a job to you but you view it as a "hobby" isn't a good choice of words. Of course, it means something you do for pleasure, but in the context of taking care of someone's furbaby, it may not sound like something you take seriously. I suggest you use any of the following: love, passion, a great joy or similar.

It took me a few months to get my first booking but at the time I still had a full time job so I wasn't promoting it either. Just to add to what Jennifer said.
