I have 4 chihuahuas in my pack that are very 'opinionated' for sure. Recommend a companion breed?
Bostons are the stubbornest, but you have to love their darling faces!
I have a Boston,.....shes very intelligent sometimes i mistake that for stubbornness.
Bloodhounds and terriers for sure!
The smaller the dog, the bigger the attitude I always say!

I had a Maltese as a kid who was stubborn as anything! Ruled the roost!
My mini Aussie dachshund mix.. brains of the Aussie, attitude of the doxie. She's pretty much a cat.

I would say sometimes its not down to the breed as it is to the particular dog itself. You can have a wonderful, sweet Chihuahua but many have little dog syndrome and can be beasties. Great Danes can try to compensate for their size by being extra gentle or try to intimidate you because with their stature. Much of any dogs stubbornness may be avoided in how we react to this behavior and by prior socialization and training per the owner.
I disagree, my Ridgebacks have all been quite stubborn. All literature talks about their inherent stubborness.

Australian Shepherd / Border Collie mix...only because ours is so stubborn! Lol
I've had 3 Rhodesians Ridgebacks; wonderful, really smart, but they put the stub in stubborn!

I try never really cool pets names such as stubborn but more headstrong and rigid. As someone who has had several German Shepherd's in my life, I can say that they can be relatively headstrong. For instance when my dog smells something he really wants to follow that path and will refuse to follow.
