Profile completion?

It's probably a glitch due to the profile updates. The set of questions you initially set out to answer was changed, so the system may think that you are missing information that is no longer available to complete. I assume the issue will resolve itself eventually; however, I would contact Rover Support to speed up that process.

The background check isn't required at this time, though it is a good way to attract customers and instill trust. Additionally, you aren't providing your SSN to Rover. The check is performed by an outside agency like one that a potential employer would use when you applied for a job. You submit your information directly to them, and only the results of the check (pass/fail) are reported back to Rover.
