How do i stay secure in my home?

I am thinking about becoming a sitter. I would like to know how I stay secure in my home when strangers will be dropping off their pets? How do I guarantee they are the people who booked with me and not someone who wants to do me and my family harm? Thank you!

There is a certain amount of trust involved in this business. That's why it's almost mandatory to have a meet & greet prior to accepting a request. As someone answered on your other post, some sitters hold the M&G away from their home for safety reasons. This meeting is to get to know the owners and the dog(s) and to see if you would be a good fit. You can ask questions and judge the owners using your intuition.

If you are concerned about safety during the dropoff or pickup times, I would suggest having a neighbor, relative, boyfriend, etc. be with you when the client arrives. You can see that the people you met with initially are the ones bringing or picking up the dog. If they are not the same, don't let them in. Contact the owners and ask if they authorized someone else to deliver or pick up the dog. This is a good question to ask at the M&G - who will be delivering and picking up Fido?
