What assurances do you give that my SSN won't end up in the wrong hands?
I'm just wondering how my social security number is protected?

Rover.com is the company that stores your personal information. Just like any other online company like Amazon or Best Buy etc, they encrypt the personal data. The sitters do not have access to your SSN, ever. We only receive the phone number etc once the reservation is confirmed.
