Can clients trust house sitters?

This is my first time using Rover, and I selected a sitter with no prior experience or reviews. I'm just a little nervous, and wondering if I need to lock up all valuables.

I'd offer that a sitter with no prior experience or review may just be new and starting out. So, you may ease your concerns by asking for other character references or any other references from pet owners whose dogs he/she may have cared for before joining Rover. Hopefully, you've already had a meet&greet and are letting your intuition guide you.

I think it's always smart to secure valuables. However, I believe many sitters, like me, are professional dog lovers who are trustworthy & have high ethical codes. You could leave stacks of cash out and plenty of valuables in sight and all would remain as you left them.

I agree with Deb. You should have a meet and greet with your potential sitter to alleviate some of your concerns. I would also recommend you contact several sitters in your area to find one that meets your needs

Always lock up your valuables, no matter who enters your house. If you do not trust her, even though you chose her for some specific reason, right? Install cameras in your house to feel 100% safe.
