Boosting search rank with Photos?

Hello!

I hope this finds you all well! I have a question, and have searched and was unable to find an answer in the Q&A Board, so I hope it hasn't already been addressed.

I received a message from Rover Support saying I needed to be sending pictures of my current client to the owner because more photos loaded will increase my chances of being seen in searches. I get it - I love sending photos and videos of the pups, but there's an issue. My client's owners are in Singapore for the next two weeks and they want me to communicate with them via WhatsApp and send photos and videos using that channel. I'm fine with that, too.

I feel like I'm being punished for something beyond my control or lack of resources. Am I missing something?

Also there are quite a few owners that would rather you send updates to their personal cells, which I understand but at the some time I think it's just as easy to receive a message through the Rover number given. This doesn't happen often; I would say 98% of them are fine using the Rover Number but as I grow this business I want to ensure I'm doing it the right way from the start.

Does anyone have any advice? Can't wait to learn more!

Thanks!

Holley :)

Yes, I've cared for dogs whose owners have asked me to not send photos to their cell ph.Sometimes it's because they were out of the country or busy dealing with something elsewhere

I asked if it would be fine if I just uploaded the photos to rover and then they could see them whenever it was convenient to check their account (even if that's after they return). Every time, they've agreed to that solution. If I send photos through any other channel at their request, I just duplicate it when I upload photos to rover.

As for the requests to send to their personal cell # and not their Rover assigned number, I'd ask if they had any problem receiving messages sent to the rover # (since it should automatically forward without issue and if it doesn't maybe rover support can fix that), and explain that you want the rover account to show you have daily photos, so if they really want the photos sent to their ph. #, you'll also copy it to their rover # which might mean they will receive duplicates.

I really do not notice that taking pictures boosts my rank very much. HMMM. I take pictures all of the time, but still need to boost it otherwise.
