Recently got an email saying my site had been hidden because Rover didn't think I was responding properly, quickly enough. WTF?

Had Rover taken the time to actually look at my site and seen my responses to inquiries they would not have taken the action they did--removing my site from view. Robot surveillance of this website is not what is needed. There is no algorithm for intelligence, no substitute for human action/reaction. Don't you agree?

Since none of us can see your message history, we can't really assess how 'properly' you respond to clients. I do see that your page is currently active, that your response rate is 100% and your response time is under 1 hour. I also see that only 30% of your clients receive photos through Rover. Unless your clients are un-checking the box requesting photo updates, not uploading pictures to Rover will hurt your search ranking and may contribute to getting flagged by Rover's algorithms.

As nice as it would be for Rover staff to personally review every profile to offer feedback, this is completely unreasonable for a company with very few staff compared to the thousands and thousands of active sitter profiles. It's on us to contact Rover support for assistance as needed. They're happy to help and can generally resolve issues like this quickly, causing minimal inconvenience for sitters.

I have been told my Rover staff that the photo percentage is not part of the search algorithm. In fact, I believe that was confirmed on this board awhile ago.

It's just the only thing I can see on his public profile that might trigger a flag. There have been a ton of changes to the platform and occasional glitches - my response and photo percentages have randomly changed a couple times and then mysteriously fixed themselves in the past few months.
