About: Hi! My name is Patrick and I’m a 4th year student at Acadia University. I've loved and taken care of many dogs for friends, family, and neighbours since my childhood. As a student away from home, I miss seeing my pets so much so I love Rover! I have a very flexible schedule so I have time to take care of your pups all week! From quick visits to long walks or house sitting! I will give your dog all the attention it deserves! I am incredibly reliable and trustworthy. I will make sure to send lots of photos! I wish I could have a dog of my own, though being a student it’s not the right time for me, so I love having this opportunity!

Kaylee was absolutely wonderful! She looked after my two cats for about two weeks over Christmas, and she was so kind to them (and to me!) She shared photos with me every day, and when I got home they were so cuddly and well-cared for. I will definitely book with Kaylee again, if needed!

Kelsey has been doing drop in visits for my dog Penelope for almost six months now. She has been absolutely fantastic. She always gives me lots of notice when she won't be available, puts up with my sudden schedule changes and short notice, and always gives Penelope lots of love. I know Penelope really looks forward to seeing her, and I can go to work and know that Penelope will be well taken care of while I'm gone. Thanks to Kelsey my transition back to the office has gone smoothly for both Penelope and I. I recommend Kelsey for whatever you and your dog may need.

About: I have experience from looking after my own pets to watching my friends' and colleagues' dogs. I have walked, fed, played and looked after many pets such as dogs (examples: border collies, shih tzu, Shepards, etc.), cats, rabbits, rodents and leopard geckos. I personally have owned pets since I was around 7 years old starting with hamsters, and since then I have owned rats, fish, a rabbit, a dog and a leopard gecko. I have also had experience in volunteering at a local vet clinic. I just finished getting my master of biology degree and I am working as a research associate now. I have a flexible schedule meaning I am available daily in the morning, afternoon or evening to look after and tend to your pets. In both my home and my clients' homes, safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment are my top priorities. I ensure that all potential hazards are removed or secured, provide ample supervision, and maintain open communication with pet owners to address any concerns. Whether it's hosting pets in my own space or visiting them in their familiar environment, I strive to maintain a safe and nurturing atmosphere where pets feel relaxed and cared for.

About: Hi there! 🐾 My name’s Jenna, and animals have always had a special place in my heart. From reptiles to playful puppies and everything in between, I truly believe every pet deserves love, respect, and gentle care! I know how stressful it can be to leave your fur baby behind, which is why my goal is to make the process easier for both you and your pet. When I’m with them, I’ll treat your companion just like my own. Ensuring they’re safe, happy, and showered with affection. As a child i’ve babysat animals in my neighbourhood and was apart of a club in high school that took care of many reptiles. I’ve owned, fish, geckos, a puppy, lovely kitty and cuddly bunny. I believe animals deserve compassion and respect and that includes yours! Currently I work a full time job, but have flexibility through the week and often free on the weekends. Although my work takes up larger parts of my week, I will commit to making sure your routine is never interrupted! I currently am not available for in house boarding but I provide a clean and safe environment for my animals and those I take care of. Secure doors and well maintained spaces makes my pets comfortable and happy.

About: I have 3 big, loving farm dogs at home that I’ve taken care of and trained since they were pups! I also have experience dog/cat-sitting for friends. I work full-time in a research lab at Acadia University during weekdays. On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday I can be available after 4:30 pm. On Saturdays and Sundays my schedule is flexible for walks anytime! On our farm my dogs have a diverse lifestyle. About: Very comfortable with medication administration and any special needs your dog or puppy may need. Nurse by profession with a great love for all animals. I’m available from 5pm Friday until Monday morning 8am full care. If you have other needs through the week please message to discuss - here to help in any way with your pet care needs. My golden retriever Wilson both has free rein of the home and comfortable in his kennel. I would prefer kennel trained but if well mannered - fine to have free in the house.

We had a great experience with Jenna. She came to our home, spent quality time with our puppy, and made sure all of his needs were met. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was well cared for and loved while we were at work. I would absolutely recommend her and will definitely be booking again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Wolfville on Rover is $22.2 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 45 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Wolfville. About 100% of Wolfville sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Wolfville stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wolfville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
