“Joni took excellent care of our 2 pugs. They had a lovely week chasing squirrels in the backyard and going for long walks with Joni. We’ll definitely be repeat customers. Thank you Joni!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was about 7 years old my family has always had dogs and cats. I have also worked at Mondou the pet store for 4 years. I have also trained dogs for many years now .family and friends rely on me to pet sit for them all the time as I am the person they trust with their fur babies. I am currently on Matt leave with my 3rd baby, I am home full time making me fully available to dog sit and give lots of time . I have a fully fenced yard and a fully dog proof home . My house is big enough to be able to separate your dog if they do not like other dogs . I have dogs that can entertain and keep your dog company and kids that absolutely love dogs and have so much love to give

“Charmaine is an absolute delight. We knew right from the meet & greet that our Huggle (husky-beagle mix) would be in good hands. She clearly loves dogs and has a lot of experience caring for them. Her location is perfect for long walks in an ideal setting. Charmaine also updated us regularly with photos and texts. We would not hesitate to recommend her.”

“Great family ! Really responsive and Anh gives alot of news, sends pictures and everyone seems to took good care of my Winston. Thanks alot! We’ll be back during the holidays for a whole week !”

“Penny had a great stay w/ Carolina & Francisco! Communication was smooth, we received helpful updates, and Penny was clearly happy and comfortable. Thank you again.”

“This was our first time using Rover and we hit the jackpot ! Tania was amazing! She consistently provided updates and pictures, and made us feel that our fur baby was in great hands! We will definitely be booking with Tania again 😻”

“Lysiane et Tatjana ont été formidable avec notre Charlie. Notre chien était anxieux les premiers jours et elle ont su gérer la situation avec brio. Finalement la cohabitation avec notre Charlie et leur chien Henri s'est bien passé jusqu'à la fin du séjour. Un grand merci ❤️”

“Christina's like a dog behaviorist! She was able perfectly calm & attend to Chikko's needs. She updated me woth photos & videos of our Chikko everytime whenever needed. She also treated Chikko as her own. She ensures that your pet has enough walks and knows exactly what your pet needs. Christina is a blessing!”

“Soumaya is not only super friendly, but also a very caring dog sitter. She really took good care of my dog Luna in every aspect, walking, playing, feeding and etc. Her children are fantastic and really love Luna like their own dog. They hug her, cuddle her and spend so much time playing with her. Soumaya also took pictures of Luna throughout the period and sent to us for updates, so that we can rest assured that Luna is in good hands. All in all, Soumaya is an excellent dog sitter; and together with her children, this just becomes a perfect winning team for any pet owners to trust and rely on.”

“Nadina took care of our 6 month golden for 10 days and it was the must reassured and relaxed we ever been leaving our dog with someone. First she really took the time to know us and Peppa. Answerd all our questions and hed a video call with us. She and her family are extremely caring. It was obvious they providing our Peppa with a loving family environment just like she is used to and that was all we wanted. Her 2 dogs are super sweet and playful and we got pictures of them playing in the backyard every day. It felt so good to know she's in puppy heaven! Peppa was kind of sad to leave! But i could tell when we arrived home she was in a good mood you could really tell she had a very positive experience. I have a very high standards when it comes to my dogs borading and i highly recommend Nadina!”

“Luisa and Hans were excellent sitters for my pup! They were extremely communicative regularly lots of longer videos and photos, followed the instructions I provided and went above and beyond to make him feel safe and happy during his stay. It was especially nice that they have their own 2 small dogs so mine felt like he was part of a little pack for the weekend. Their space is clean, bright and comfortable and I’m glad I booked with them and would book again!”

“Rachel is a fantastic person and a fabulous Dog Sitter… she took care of our dog for a full three days and two nights during the holiday and she made sure we were updated along the way. She had three dogs overall, and she could handle the three of them super well it was obvious in the videos they were having fun. Thank you so much for taking care of Whisky so well.”

“Absolutely fantastic- I think my dog had the best week of her life! She is high-energy and still young, and she had so much fun playing with all the other dogs. We will definitely be back!”

“Both Joy and Ronald made Chooch feel like he never left home. He had a lot of play time, attention, care, and pictures and videos sent to us. I highly recommend them as they treated our dog like their own.”

“Carlos & his family were so accommodating and thoughtful in taking care of Seven while we were away. He was extremely responsive, sent updates throughout her stay, was reassuring and had everything under control making our time away so much more enjoyable knowing she was in great hands. They are genuine dog people, with great experience, I would without hesitation recommend them to anyone considering a dog sitter. Thank you Carlos for everything! We will indeed book again.”

“We had a little Meet and Greet with Janice the day we booked her to take care of our Ricky for a good part of the day. She is really nice, good vibes, took very good care of our little furry baby. Ricky loved her so much that he cuddle with her and hugged her. He felt safe and happy in her home and in her company! I would definitely recommand her! 🤓🥹😁 She even has forms for us to fill out to make sure she has all the information needed of each dog she takes care of! She takes one dog at a time too, which was perfect for you because Ricky loves people not dogs.. 😁☺️”

“Corina took amazing care of my pets, Lucy and Holly. She kept me updated with sweet photos and a fun video that made my day. Lucy was clearly happy and Holly was safe and cared for. It gave me total peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend—she’s a gem! 10 stars!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Salaberry-de-Valleyfield

Sara is very communicative and friendly. She provided a loving home for my dog Snuffy with her family members including her own dog Wendy who loved playing with him so much. She has an amazing yard for them to run in and a comfortable living space. Looking forward to booking her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have.
