“Charlie had a fantastic time with Sheilagh and Teresa. He fit right in with the rest of the dog family, played in the wading pool, and generally adopted S & T as his own. Pictures of his adventures arrived regularly while I was away. Charlie will be very happy to come back for another visit soon. Thank you for taking such lovely care of him.”

“We just cannot thank Elizabeth (Jayne) enough for all the love and attention she gave our old boy, Jack while we were away on vacation. Jayne was happy to be in touch with us and regularly sent pics and videos. Jack doesn’t always do well without us, but he settled in quickly and absolutely loved all the walks, love and attention he got at Jayne’s house! Jack is diabetic so it was such a relief knowing that Jayne had lots of experience giving insulin too. We will most definitely be calling Jayne again! Thank you, Jayne!”

I’m fully available on both weekdays and weekends from 8am to 9pm. I live in a house with a patio and unfenced yard, offering plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. We’re just a 10-minutes walk from Peterborough off-leash dog park, perfect for adding some extra fun and adventure to your puppy’s day!
“Highly recommend Anhi! She’s very caring, sent me regular updates and took good care of our senior dog Bella. She is on a special diet and has many quirks for senior lady that some may not wish to handle. Anhi fit her schedule around our last minute booking, shifted things around to accommodate us and took great care of Bella. We’re so thankful and would use her services again! Highly recommend!”

“My pup is a nervous, skittish rescue who needs a lot of love and patience. Jessica was able to accommodate her needs, making sure that she was eating and drinking despite her resistance. Her dog, Snow, was friendly and I could see her dog and mine hanging out together in the photos and videos she sent. Jessica was very accommodating for drop off and pick up times when plans didn’t quite go my way. I’m glad to have found someone close by who I can trust for future stays!”

“Emily and Scott are really nice and responsible host. They also have a lovely and friendly dog that our dog become really good friend with after several days of staying. They took really good care of our dog and she is really happy and clean upon picking up. We really appreciate them for helping us taking care our dog.”

About: With over 15 years of hands-on experience working with animals, I bring a calm, confident, and knowledgeable approach to every pet in our care. I am an experienced Rover pet care providers and share the same dedication to providing safe, reliable, and personalized care for every animal I meet. My background includes professional dog handling, dog training, and dog walking for a company, giving me experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I have extensive experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, and other small furry animals, allowing me to confidently meet a wide variety of pet care needs. I am comfortable with feeding routines, enrichment activities, habitat maintenance, and administering medications when required. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I am trained in dog CPR, and I prioritize safety, structure, and positive reinforcement in every interaction. Whether your pet needs a reliable walker, patient caregiver, or someone who understands behaviour and individualized care, I tailor our services to fit their unique needs. Animals aren’t just a job for me—they’re my passion. I genuinely love building trust, providing enrichment, and ensuring every pet feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. We offer flexible, around-the-clock availability to meet your pet care needs. Whether you need early morning walks, midday drop-ins, evening visits, overnight care, or last-minute bookings, were happy to accommodate a schedule that works best for you and your pet. I understand that every household runs differently, and pets don’t always stick to a 9–5 routine. That’s why I make myself available all hours of the day, including weekends and holidays, to provide consistent, reliable care when you need it most. Your pet’s routine, comfort, and well-being remain my priority, no matter the time. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets in both my home and my client’s home. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any medical or behavioral needs to ensure consistency and reduce stress. I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-safe environment, closely supervise interactions, and follow feeding, exercise, and medication instructions exactly as provided. In a client’s home, I respect your space while keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible — including walks, playtime, enrichment, and quiet rest. I also monitor for any changes in behavior or health and communicate updates so you always feel confident and informed while you’re away.
About: hiii, I’m Devin! (I’m new to Rover) I have (ongoing) experience volunteering at multiple humane societies, volunteering at an animal sanctuary, pet sitting, and I’m going into a Veterinary Technician program next year! I spend lots of my time caring for, playing with and loving animals with different personalities, needs, and comfort levels. Patience, consistency, and making animals feel safe and comfortable is very important. Volunteering and spending my time with animals reinforces how important it is to meet the needs of every specific individual animal. Im comfortable following specialized care and medical instructions carefully and paying close attention to changes in behaviour or needs. I’ve given prescribed medication to animals in many ways, many times so I’m 100% okay and accommodating to special care animals. I’m especially good with shy, anxious, or sensitive animals and try to create a calm, low-stress environment for them. I read, watch and learn lots about animals everyday. I have many certifications around animals as well; like the ‘Fear Free’ certification for example. What sets me apart is my experience and also that I genuinely care about animals as individuals and that I take the time to understand their individual personalities, routines, and boundaries rather than treating care as “just a job”. This is something I’m very passionate about. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and being attentive to their needs. I’m able to dedicate time throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, medication if needed, and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’m someone who pays close attention to routines and details, so I understand the importance of consistency for animals. Whether a pet is energetic and playful or more shy and relaxed, I’m patient and adapt to what helps them feel safest and happiest. When caring for pets, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent, comfortable, and low-stress as possible. In a client’s home, I respect the pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medication, bathroom breaks, and rest so they can feel secure in their familiar environment. I pay close attention to behavior, body language, and energy levels to make sure pets are comfortable and getting the care they need. I’m patient with shy or anxious animals and make sure they have space, attention, and calm interaction at their own pace. Safety and cleanliness are also important to me, and I make sure pets have a secure environment, fresh water, and plenty of attention and companionship while their owner is away.

About: I've taken care of my own pet cats over the years since I was a child, but I also have a great deal of experience from working in an animal shelter setting from 2021-2025. I am comfortable with feeding, cleaning up after, and medicating cats as needed. I feel that making sure cats have some interaction with people is important while their owners are away (as long as it doesn't stress them out more, of course). I would love to round out the drop-in visit with some brushing, playing with toys, or just sitting to talk to and pet your cat as much as they want.

About: I’ve had cats in the home since I was just a baby. By age 8 I completely took care of all cat related tasks in my home including; brushing, feeding, hydrating, some training, kitty litter. I’ve loved cats since I was little to now as I have 3 of my own precious babies. I am available for drop in visits 2-3 times a day Monday - Friday 5am - 2pm

About: Hi, my name is Monica! I am a mom of two and an animal lover who enjoys helping people feel at ease knowing their pets are well cared for. I provide calm and reliable cat check-ins, including feeding, fresh water, litter care and companionship. In the past I have provided care for my neighbours and friends and focus on following the kitties routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I understand that every cat has their own personality, some enjoying attention, while others are happiest with a calm, respectful presence and some space. I am happy to follow their lead. As a mom, I value providing reliable and attentive care, while treating your home and loved ones with respect. I like to provide updates with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your feline friend(s)!

About: I’ve had cats in my home all of my life, but have had my own cat for 3.5 years now. My cat is part bengal, so naturally he is very energetic and smart. I’ve taught him to sit, high five, lay down, and fetch. I’ve given him both oral and topical (such as eye drops) medications successfully, and have always followed veterinary instructions closely. I clean his litter boxes daily, as he is quite particular. Furthermore, I’ve done a lot of research about cats in order to give him the best life possible. He has a water fountain away from his food because cats prefer running water, he is fed a special urinary care dry food because of past issues, and he is also fed wet food because moisture is of utmost importance for cats and their kidneys - especially male cats. I never keep flowers or toxic plants in my house for his safety, and I take him outside on a leash so that he is able to get the stimulation he needs with less risk. I’m a very particular cat owner, and would understand and respect any other cat owners preferences, just as I’d hope someone would do the same for me.

About: Cats have always had a special place in my heart. I’ve grown up with cats my entire life and currently help care for two cats in my household. I’ve learned that every cat is unique—some are affectionate, some are shy, and some are a little spicy! I love getting to know each cat at their own pace and never force interaction. Building trust is one of my favorite parts of cat sitting. As an Honours Zoology graduate with veterinary clinic experience, I combine my knowledge of animal behaviour with genuine patience and compassion to ensure every cat feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind.

About: Your cat deserves calm, attentive care while you’re away. I provide a quiet, stress-free environment and take the time to understand each cat’s unique personality and routine. Whether your cat is playful, shy, or independent, I offer patient care tailored to their comfort. I pride myself on reliability, cleanliness, and thoughtful attention to detail — from maintaining litter and feeding routines to noticing small changes in behaviour. You’ll also receive regular photo updates, so you can relax knowing your cat is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my genuine love and respect for animals, paired with a calm, reliable presence that pets quickly trust. I tailor my care to each pet’s unique personality, whether that means energetic walks for dogs or quiet love for shy cats. I’m detail oriented, communicative, and always ensure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved in your absence. My experience includes senior pets, new borns, medication administration, and nervous animals who need extra patience. I treat every pet like family and take pride in creating a stress free, positive experience for both pets and their owners. Pet care is a true passion of mine, and with my part-time work schedule, I have the flexibility to give your pets the time, attention, and love they deserve. I structure my days around their needs, whether it’s a morning walk, midday check-in, or evening playtime and cuddles. Your pets won’t just be looked after, they’ll feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like family. I treat every pet like they’re my own. Safety and trust are at the heart of how I care for pets. My home is pet friendly, clean, and fully prepared for furry guests, with a secure, fenced in yard perfect for safe outdoor play and potty breaks. Inside, pets have cozy spots to relax and plenty of space to roam. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.

We had a last minute change to our pet care and Vanessa was able and willing to help us out with only a few days notice. We really appreciated her stepping up to help us and for being so loving to our sweet Luna. Highly recommend! We will definitely book Vanessa again in the future :)”

“Harlee is an awesome sitter who was easy to arrange a schedule with on short notice! Her updates with the photos and the description were comforting while I was away for the week. Thanks again Harlee!”

“Denali did a splendid job looking after our 3 cats. They were relaxed and happy when we returned. The house was also nicely cared for and we will be asking her again to look after our pets. It was a delight to see pictures of the kitties all relaxed and happy in their usual favorite places! Thank you!”

About: Name: Chelsy Age: 34 I absolutely adore animals of all species. If you met someone that knows me the first thing they’ll tell is I’m a sucker for animals. Have you seen Punch the Monkey on TikTok? Yeah he consumes my mind more than I’d like to admit. I have specific long term experience with cats and dogs. I have cats, a dog, and have had a hamster and bird myself, all of different personalities but very well loved and cared for (which people pride us on often). I want you to feel at ease and comfortable leaving your fur babies with me- knowing their best interest, needs, and health always come first! I have experience with young, senior, and special needs animals. I want to broaden my passion and work to build strong relationships with every fur baby I can! With the most amount of love! I follow clients care instructions because after all they know their pets best. As much as I want and love to give animals love, I also respect their need to warm up to me. I always give them space and time to learn me and become comfortable.
About: I am an emergency medical responder, so I am very comfortable in high-energy environments, and appreciate the mental clarity and peace that only cuddles with fluffy friends can bring. I helped train all of my family's dogs growing up (German-Sheppard, Sheepadoodle, and Rottweiler-mix), and I've helped take care of my housemate's cat for the past year (he is the best partner for any game-night, as long as he gets his box!). I am studying for the MCAT (the exam required for medical school admission), while working as an Event Medic. As such, my schedule is really flexible. I can't wait to bring your doggo(s) out for a fun walk and give lots of cuddles during my study breaks! I will engage in regular exercise sessions and playtime activities based on the pet's needs and preferences. I will follow your feeding schedule, and make sure there is always fresh water available. I will happily offer companionship and attention to help alleviate any anxiety or loneliness. I am comfortable administering medications as directed by the owners, and keeping an eye on their health while I am looking after them. I will familiarize myself with emergency protocols, and maintain open communication with the pet owners, providing updated on their pet's wellbeing, activities, and any notable incidents or changes in their behaviour.

I’m very comfortable with cats and dogs, but I would be willing to learn about how to care for other animals! This would be a privilege working with your pet(s). I look forward to meeting you. Thanks for your time and consideration -Deanna S.

“She is amazing, very caring and very kind. Milo had never been away from home without us and he was super happy and relaxed, when my husband came to pick him up he wasn’t in any rush to leave but the opposite feels like he was hoping to stay longer. We really appreciate she walked Milo 4 times and when we came to pick him up we were impressed to see Milo walking so politely and relaxed with her, Milo with us is pulling the leach all the time. We are very happy and we’re thankful for all she did to integrate Milo and make him feel comfortable and happy”

About: Hi! We are Star Sitters here on Rover, with 6 years of professional pet care and 18 with our own animals. Someone is always here in our calm, safe, and dog friendly home so your dog can spend the day with company instead of being home alone. We do live with our loveable Boston Terrier, Gus, and we are often found hiking on dog friendly trails on the weekend or spending time at the lake. We are very active, enjoy being outside and think dogs should be too - Gus has a lot of energy so daily excercise is key already here. I work as a professional planner and Scott works from home and we are both free on weekends with flexible schedules. We spend a lot of love and time on Gus, who, like us, loves being around other dogs. We would be happy to meet you and your doggy in advance so you can get to know us. Emily works in the office four days per week just a few minutes from home, Scott works from home. Neither of us work on the weekend. Our home is save for any animal - we're smoke free, drug free with no children. Gus loves other dogs and always enjoys having a friend around. Our back yard is mostly fenced in and it's tucked behind. The front is also mostly fenced with a small garden fence.
About: I've had dogs in my life for 40 years and truly love having them around. In recent years I've owned senior rescue dogs, so I understand how important patience, routine and gentle attention can be. Whether a dog is playful or just needs a place to happily chill, I make sure they feel comfortable and at ease. I take dogs in when you're travelling or need occasional dog sitting, rather than permanent dog care. Because I work from home, dogs fit very naturally into my daily routine. They get plenty of attention, regular outdoor breaks in my fenced yard and relaxed time inside the house with me throughout the day. I enjoy walking with them, playtime and quiet companionship. Your dog will stay in a calm, safe and loving home where they can relax and feel comfortable. They will have plenty of outdoor breaks in my fenced yard as well as regular walks. I pay close attention to their personality and routine so they feel safe, cared for and right at home while you're away. There are no other pets or children in my home, so your dog will have my full attention.

Because I work part time my schedule is generally fairly open, except for school drop off and pick up during the school season. If your furry friend needs constant, uninterrupted care, please let me know and I will advise whether that will be possible. Your pets are your family, and I understand that. When I am caring for your pet I will always treat them with the utmost care and love, making sure any special needs or wants are met 100% of the time.
About: I've been caring for pets for over 15 years and love getting to know each animal's unique personality. My experience includes caring for friends' and neighbors' dogs, as well as raising four cats through every stage of life, from kittens to seniors. I know how important it is to keep pets safe, comfortable, and happy while you're away. Whether your pet enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to their routine, I'll provide patient and personalized care adjusted to their needs. I love spending time outdoors and enjoy walks, hikes, and runs, so I would bring your pet with me if that's what they like too! I also have a fenced backyard (for more relaxed outdoor activities) and nearby trails for plenty of exercise. If your pet is more comfortable at home, I'm happy to travel to you. With my own car, I can also take dogs to parks or dog-friendly beaches for extra adventure, if you'd like. Whatever works best for you and your pet, I'm happy to help! I truly appreciate the opportunity to care for your furry family member and will treat them with the same love, patience, and attention I'd give my own. :) I’m available throughout the week and on weekends, and I’m happy to work around your schedule. Just let me know when you need care, and I’ll make it work. I can either take care of your pet at your place or mine. If it is your place, I respect the space, keep everything clean and organized, and ensure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment. To my living situation: I currently live in a house with my partner without any pets or children. We have a fenced backyard and would have enough space for a crate in the house.
About: I’m an active, loving, and organized dog caregiver with experience caring for pups of all ages and personalities — from energetic puppies to wise seniors. I have two friendly Australian Cattle Dogs of my own, and I treat every dog who stays with me like part of the family. I’m experienced in administering medication and caring for deaf dogs, and I always take the time to understand each pet’s unique needs and routines. Whether your dog loves hiking, playing fetch, or just lounging in the sun, I make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I am currently a stay at home dog mom so I will have plenty of time to care for your pets. I am available any day, any time! I live on 42 beautiful acres with trails, a pond, and a creek — the perfect place for dogs to explore, play, and enjoy nature safely. My home is located at the end of a quiet dead-end road, far from any traffic, so you can rest easy knowing your pup will have space and security.
About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals, and I truly can’t imagine a home without them. Over the years, I’ve raised and trained dogs from puppyhood—including golden retrievers, labs, and shepherd mixes—and loved them through every stage of life until their senior years. I’ve also cared for cats for more than 25 years, including fostering pregnant mothers and nursing newborn kittens. What really sets me apart is my experience with pets that need extra care: elderly, injured, or special-needs animals who require patience, strength, and compassion. Through volunteering with LAWS and the Humane Society, I’ve had the privilege of supporting animals in all kinds of situations. I’m active, reliable, and strong—I go to the gym regularly—and I’ll bring that same energy, love, and dedication to caring for your pets as if they were my own. Now that I’m semi retired, I have all the time in the world to dedicate to something I truly love—caring for animals. My days are wide open, which means I can easily adjust to your pet’s schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. Spending time with animals has always been one of my favourite pastimes, and it brings me joy to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for. Whether it’s a relaxed cuddle session with a senior cat, an energetic walk with a playful dog, or checking in throughout the day, I have the flexibility and the heart to give your pets the attention they deserve. When I care for pets in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I keep a calm, pet-friendly environment with lots of love, attention, and plenty of time for play or rest depending on their needs. If I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely, whether that means sticking to specific feeding times, administering medications, or keeping up with favourite activities. I know how important consistency is for animals, so I make it a priority to keep their day-to-day life as familiar and stress-free as possible. No matter the setting, I give each pet the patience, care, and affection I’d want for my own.
About: I have enjoyed taking care of dogs and other pets from a young age. I like getting to know the unique qualities of each animal and enjoy providing an enriching environment full of activities for the active dog, or a quiet, calm space for the pets who take more time to settle in. Caring for, and socializing, puppies over a summer was one of the most memorable pet care times, as a family member was preparing to find homes for a litter. I'm currently off work for the summer and have lots of flexibility to care for your pets for overnight stays, walks, or drop in visits to your home. I have a fenced backyard and a park across the road with lots of walking trails around to accomodate all the needs or your furry friend. We do also have 1 friendly cat in the home.

“My 2 dogs love their walks with Lina! We have never used a dog walker before and didn’t know what to expect. Lina is very kind, caring, and professional, while also being very prompt and reliable. My dogs come back happy every time!”

About: I’m an active dog lover who spends my days walking my own energetic Blue Heeler, hiking local trails, and heading to the beach. I offer reliable dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting with plenty of attention and care. I am home weeknight evenings and available all days on weekends. In summer I have full availability to meet your pets needs at any time! I can also offer training and enrichment if requested. My own dog can be slow to warm up to new dogs, but we have a large home and are happy to keep her fully separated for safety and comfort whenever needed - although she would love to play once comfortable. Your pet will get personalized care in a calm, loving environment! I am currently working full time as a teacher but I am home most days by 4:30pm. I have full availability to be home and care for your pets during the summer. I have a large home with plenty of space for your dog to run and play. I have my own dog who takes a bit of warming up but then will keep your fur baby company! I have an unfenced yard with a leash for potty breaks but can also go for lots of walks. I am happy to crate your pup if they are crate trained. I can offer training and enrichment as requested!
About: What sets me apart is the level of patience, attentiveness, and experience I bring to every pet I care for. I’ve spent time working with puppies who are still learning routines and basic training, as well as senior dogs who need a slower pace, extra patience, and closer attention to their comfort and health. I’m confident managing different personalities and needs — from energetic young dogs who benefit from consistency and structure, to older pets who may require medication, gentle handling, or extra monitoring. I also pay close attention to behaviour, eating habits, and overall wellbeing so small changes don’t go unnoticed. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure owners feel completely at ease through clear communication and regular updates. As a lifelong animal lover, caring for pets is something I truly enjoy fitting into my routine. During the week, I’m available in the evenings for visits, walks, feeding, and quality time with your pets after work. Weekends offer even more flexibility, allowing me to spend extra time making sure pets get the attention, exercise, and care they need. At home, I care for my own pets by keeping them on a consistent routine with regular feeding, exercise, clean living spaces, and plenty of attention and affection. I believe animals thrive when they feel safe, comfortable, and know what to expect in their daily routine. When caring for pets in someone else’s home, I prioritize maintaining the routines they’re used to so they feel as relaxed and stress-free as possible. I follow feeding schedules, provide walks and playtime, keep litter boxes or living areas clean, and make sure each pet gets the attention they need based on their personality. I also treat every home with respect and keep owners updated so they can feel confident their pets are in good hands.
About: I’m an Honours Zoology graduate from the University of Guelph with a lifelong passion for animal care. I currently have two cats and three dogs, and I’ve grown up caring for both throughout my life. While I love all animals, I have a special soft spot for cats and understand that every cat has a unique personality—whether they’re playful, shy, independent, or love attention. My volunteer experience in a veterinary clinic also taught me to recognize signs of stress and provide calm, patient care. Whether I’m caring for your cat or dog, I’ll treat them like one of my own and keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away. My schedule is currently very flexible, allowing me to accommodate bookings throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and even last-minute requests when available. This flexibility means I can spend quality time with your pet and work around the routine that’s best for them. I understand that inviting someone into your home or trusting them with your pet is a big decision. I’ll always follow your care instructions closely, respect your home, and do my best to maintain the routine your pet is familiar with. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs a little extra patience, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

I currently don’t have any dogs after losing my senior rescue boxer in July. I’m looking to walk dogs right now as I’m not ready to become a dog parent again yet.

About: I’ve had a dog around my whole life, my family has owned 3 dogs in my lifetime, my husband and I had a beautiful chocolate lab who crossed the rainbow bridge way too soon at only 3 days past his 3rd birthday. We now have a 2 year old English lab. My absolute dream would be to open a dog sanctuary and let all the dogs live their best life. I’m currently on maternity leave so my days are pretty open. I would need to bring my 1 yr old with me for walks as my husband works during the day so if your dog is ok with strollers perfect if not I can put my son in the carrier. I have an energetic 2 year old english lab who loves to play with other pups, he’s like a family member to us and yours will feel like one too!
