About: Hi! My name is Claire, and I’ve been caring for animals for many years. I am the primary caregiver for my two mini cockapoos, Izzie and Piper, whom I’ve raised since 2017. I’ve been responsible for their potty training, behavioural training, daily exercise, feeding schedules, enrichment, grooming routines, and veterinary care. I also have experience helping rescue and rehome cats, including two cats prior to adopting my current rescue cat, Peep, from a shelter in April. Caring for both dogs and cats has given me experience with many different personalities, temperaments, and comfort levels, including shy or anxious pets adjusting to new environments. I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and attentive to care for your pets as if they were family. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to dedicate a lot of time and attention to the pets in my care. I am available throughout the week for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and boarding for compatible pets. Because I have a flexible schedule, pets in my care are not left alone for long periods and can receive frequent supervision, bathroom breaks, exercise, affection, and attention throughout the day. Safety and comfort are extremely important to me. In my home, pets are treated like family and are always supervised carefully. I have two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy meeting new friends. While my yard is not traditionally fenced, my dogs are safely trained with a secure invisible fence system and are always supervised outdoors. I also believe regular leash walks are important for dogs’ wellbeing and enrichment. My home can be separated into different areas if needed to help pets feel comfortable and safe depending on their personalities and how they interact with other animals. For larger dogs, cats, or pets who are most comfortable in their own environment, I am also happy to provide care in the client’s home.

I currently work a 9-5 office job, with part-time work from home. No problems walking your dog while you make your family dinner. I am free anytime to dog sit. I am a hands on person, so your fur baby will never be alone outside. Ready, willing, and able to follow your dog’s preferred schedule!
About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, caring for pets of all ages, breeds, sizes, and needs. I’ve completed numerous house-sitting stays with a wide variety of dogs, including dogs with different levels of reactivity. I was raised with German Shorthaired Pointers and have extensive hands-on experience with dogs. My experience ranges from puppies as young as two weeks old to senior dogs of all sizes. I’m comfortable administering medications, bandaging and monitoring clean wounds, and caring for a variety of farm animals. I also worked as a stable hand for several years at multiple horse farms. For four years, I cared for my neighbour’s three Sheepdogs and maintained her home while she worked in Toronto four days a week. I’ve also cared for my aunt’s Irish Wolfhounds, Whippets, Cattle Dog, and cats while she travels. While you’re away, I’m happy to help with household tasks such as watering plants, tending gardens, bringing in mail, and keeping your home maintained. I know how hard it can be to leave your animals with someone else, and I want you to have peace of mind knowing they’re receiving the same love, attention, and care I would give my own. Please note: I offer house sitting in my clients’ homes, dog walking, and drop-in visits. For Day Care and Boarding, please see those sections on Rover for availability! ;) I am currently working part-time therefore, I am able to adjust my schedule around to be able to assist with you animals however I may also need to adjust your animals schedule minorly to work with mine as well. I can be as flexible as possible and am happy to work with pet owners to figure out how to help them best. I can follow instructions proficiently on any way you have your home set up. All i may need is a detailed list of feeding times, amount of walks or any other instructions an owner may find important. I am happy to do whatever you may need.
About: I grew up on a farm and raised every type of animal you can imagine Ole MacDonald had! That included various sizes and breeds of cats and dogs as well. Often I would take one of the larger farm animals, train it and then leash it so I could walk it around the farm as though it was a puppy I was training! In terms of what I can offer to you as a sitter and what I believe sets me apart is my genuine curiosity about what makes your pet tick and what their emotions are. I care about their big picture. It's not just about going to your house and then feeding/watering/walking. It's about time spent with your pet so I can let you know that all seems well with them, in their time of missing you. I do short notice and can easily do last minute house checks or pet visits without much notice as well. I hope to be adding occasional doggy daycare as well and that too, can include short notice. I am trustworthy and you can count on me to be your righthand, if something needs your attention or calls you out of town. My main work focus is pet care so there is often availability. I've finished up my main career and now, am semi-retired and lucky enough to get to do what I love and that is pets and adventures. So don't hesitate if you need help quickly. I'm there for it. The best compliment I have ever received upon the arrival home of a repeat client was when she said, "The best part about entrusting our pets with you (6 cats and a large dog) is that when we walk through the door (I am gone by then as per their wishes) no one comes running to the door to see if it's us, because with you here, they didn't even know we were missing." I will admit, that felt great because if it were my pet, I would constantly fear that they were pining away for me and frankly, that thought would detract from my vacation. With petsitting in your home or even drop-in visits, your directive is key. I will follow your instructions to a T so that you don't have to worry and so your pets have the least amount of stress, in your absence, as possible. I will ask for written instructions so there is no confusion. I will be as communicative as you desire. That could mean a pic and a note every day or no communication period. Whatever works best for you. If house-sitting, rest assured you can have full trust in my ability not only to maintain your house and pets but also to manage any issues/emergencies you may have. I've often babysat sump pumps and waatched temperatures for freezing conditions so as to switch thermostats from heat pump to furnace. Any little tidbit I can help with, I'm there.
“Very thankful to have someone who understands the bully breed so well take care of my older bulldog. Understanding the mentality of a bulldog is really important to be able to take care of my big guy because he really is his breed through and through. Stubborn but sweet. Loved the picture updates and look forward to hiring Erika again.”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals, so caring for them has always been natural to me. In Canada, I’ve provided in-home boarding, overnight stays at clients’ homes, and drop-in visits for feeding and walks. I’m attentive, responsible, and truly enjoy spending quality time with pets, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. I am based in Leamington. For overnight stays, location within nearby areas (Windsor, Kingsville, Chatham, etc.) is not a problem — I can pick up and drop off your dog, or you’re welcome to bring them to me. My availability is primarily focused on overnight care. On weekdays, I am out from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. However, I work just 2 minutes from home and can stop by during the day for two breaks — one 1-hour visit and one 30-minute visit. Some clients provide a camera for monitoring, which I’m happy to install so I can keep an eye on your pet while at work. If I notice anything unusual, I can quickly go home to check without any issue. On weekends, I am usually home. I may step out briefly for groceries or a workout (typically no more than 2 hours at a time). For non-overnight services (feeding and walks), availability depends on location and number of visits needed. • In Leamington or within 20 minutes, I can visit twice daily (morning and evening). • For locations 45–50 minutes away (Windsor, Chatham, etc.), weekday visits are available after 5:30 PM, and weekends allow for more flexibility and multiple visits. I live in a small, cozy apartment, which creates a calm and intimate environment where dogs can feel safe and comfortable. Because I live alone, your pet receives my full attention and care. As long as they are clean and well-groomed, they’re welcome to join me on the couch — and even sleep in the bed if that’s part of their usual routine. I always prioritize maintaining their normal habits to help them feel secure and at home.

Your quick responses and updates put my mind at ease during Bentley's first time away from us. We look forward to many more visits!”

“Melissa was great with my two cats! She knows how to deal with cats, she is loving and caring, gave them lots of attention and play time. She also made sure they were eating and drinking, shes reliable and kept me posted on how things were. That allowed me to enjoy my time away a lot more, knowing I didn't need to worry about my furry babies and that they were in good hands.”
