About: We had two dogs, chocolate lab (7 years) and lab/shep mix (16 years). We miss them both terribly but are not yet ready to fill the void of their losses. We are a family with 2 children (11 & 14) who are very familiar with looking after animals. We love cuddles and outdoors and have I’ll provide lots of love and exercise while you are away. We will only take animals when we can be home with them. We will accept care that goes with our work schedules to allow someone to be with the pet in our care. We have lots of space to make your pet comfortable. We will take them outside leashed as needed, and for walks. We are not comfortable allowing any animals in our care roam free and will request a leash. We also have a fenced area of yard for outside time as needed, but will still be accompanied/ supervised.
“Lesley is fantastic. She communicates clearly and knows her way with dogs. She showed us early on that she listens and pays attention to details. She shows up when she says she will and clearly has a love for animals. We’re really happy we found Lesley to help us out with our dog Mic. Highly recommend.”

About: With over 20 years of dog sitting experience, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities—from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. My experience includes daily walks, feeding, medication administration, basic training reinforcement, playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I understand canine behavior and body language, allowing me to create a calm, safe, and happy environment for every dog. Dependable, patient, and loving, I treat each dog as if they were my own—because they deserve nothing less. Dog sitting and dog walking are a seamless part of my daily life, not a side job. My days are built around consistent schedules, regular walks, feeding times, play, and companionship, making it easy to give each dog the attention and structure they need. Daily walks aren’t rushed—they’re a chance for exercise, enrichment, and connection. Because caring for dogs is woven into my routine, they receive reliable, calm, and attentive care that feels familiar and stress-free. For me, it’s simply how I live—sharing my days with dogs and making sure they’re happy, safe, and well cared for. I care for dogs in their own homes to keep their routines consistent and stress-free. I follow each dog’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest, paying close attention to their individual needs and personalities. Daily walks are tailored to energy level and age, and I provide companionship, enrichment, and calm supervision throughout the visit. I also handle medication if needed, maintain food and water areas, clean up after walks, and keep the home tidy. By caring for dogs in familiar surroundings, I help them feel secure, comfortable, and well loved while their owners are away.
About: Hey pet owners! I’m an enthusiastic animal lover who is looking to start a small side business while in university. I have experience with dogs big and small, plus cats. I’ve also had experience with dogs who suffer from anxiety. When dog sitting I am able to stay at your house with your pet if you prefer or I am located right in Tiverton and I can check in on your pet as many times as requested/needed. As mentioned I am a university student, currently about to finish teachers college and am able to walk the pups or check on your pets before, between, and after classes. I’m currently saving up for teachers college. I am currently working on call at various schools while doing my own schoolwork. I try to keep my schedule as up-to-date as possible. Currently I have days of tests, placements, and volunteering days marked off. Want to go away but don’t want to put any additional stress on your favorite furry friend(s)? As a pet owner myself I completely understand! I am more than happy to remove that stress from everyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kincardine choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
