About: I grew up with many pets in my house - 3 dogs and 2 cats! I went for daily walks with the dogs in my local ravine growing up. Each dog having it's own very unique personality and quirks provided me with a breadth of experience. I believe obedience and rules are the foundation of a well behaved dog. As well, a well exercised dog is a well behaved dog. Structure is very important and I will always make a dog work for their treat. I try to continue any on-going training for the dogs I am walking or sitting. I was finally able to get my own dog as an adult - who I have had since 2021. I rescued my dog, Arlo, when he was ~4 months, and have given him a loving home since! I worked with a trainer when I got to him and learned a lot about dog (and human) behaviours. I am home during the days with a flexible schedule, so walks at any time of the day can work. Generally a morning, lunchtime, or late afternoon walk are the preferred times. I currently have daily mid-day regulars that I walk. Depending on the dogs personality and suitability with other dogs, I walk with a pack or individually. If a dog is staying with me, I take them on a walk first thing if their owner hasn't already done so. This way, they are starting on the best foot forward. I have a dog at home, so I do an intro of the dogs on 'neutral' territory, there is a laneway and Bruce trail across from so I ask that their owner does a quick walk with the dogs and myself. I do potty breaks every 0-2 hours, either to go on a short walk, or ball throw. I also do 5-10 minute training sessions to keep the dogs entertained and stimulated. I also ask that the dogs bed and an article of clothing of the owners comes with them, so they have a space that is their own and familiar. This will help the dog settle in. Favourite toys or treats are also recommended.

About: I have owned and lived with dogs, and cats for the past 10 years. My current dog is high energy and we'll titled. I'm happy to work with puppies, and provide a little anxiety relief to your pets. Looking for someone to take your dog out while your on a long shift, longer walks than your able, or social/training enriched walks, I'm able to help. I grew up on a hobby farm and am more then happy to spend time with ducks, chickens, rabbits etc. I currently work full time from home, if you have wifi I can be there all day. I have a dog as well, he can come for social play dates, or stay home. For longer stay, my furbaby can come along for doggy socialization or I can alternate on a plan that works for both of us. Dogs love routine, keeping to their routine is safest. I practice positive reinforcement for pets. For dogs who pull on walks ii prefer a harness, it's safer for us and them, and have plenty of dual clip leashes to work on heeling with them.

“Katie is a wonderful pack leader! We appreciate her communication and flexibility. She provides lots of great updates, photos and really understands dogs.”

“Tucker came home happy and tired. We needed a get-away and he needed to play with another dog. We all ended up happy! Deborah made Tuck very welcome and her relaxed manner reassured me that she and Tucker would get along fine. I am so happy we found her!”

About: Hello, my name is Madison. I am a very experienced pet professional, having worked with dogs for the past decade, training, boarding and providing daycare services. I am fortunate enough to have my own dogs, mainly rescue dogs that came for training and we fell in love with. I have listed us as not having pets, as boarding dogs have a separate space from our personal dogs, so they do not need to interact if it would not be beneficial to your dog. We I am very knowledgeable with canine psychology and body language, and am proud to offer my services to those who struggle with dogd who have behavioural issues such as reactivity and aggression. Overnight stays are in a separate building from our home that is set up as its own cozy house, and is only 50ft from our front door. We have a very large fenced in yard, as well as 100 acres of field and forest, with a lake and pond for on and off leash walks. Dogs are crated when not supervised and overnight in Great Dane sized Impact crates, each with their own primo pad (mattress). Owners are welcome to bring their own bedding for their dogs, or we can provide them for you, if your dog does not chew or eat bedding! All dogs get daily walks on or off leash depending on your dogs capabilities, and play time in the yard is either one on one with us or they can go into an appropriate play group with other dogs. We rotate dogs playing and walking throughout the day so everyone has a balance of play and rest. I have an extra big spot in my heart for senior dogs, and I welcome them for all services, with the experience catered to them. I am certified in Canine First Aid, bonded and insured in addition to the insurance that Rover provides. I do this full time, so I am always home with the dogs. Pick up/drop off times are Weekdays from 7am-10am and 4pm-7pm Weekends- 9am-11am and 4pm-6pm If you need accommodation outside of these hours, please ask and I will see what I can do! I have these times set up so that drop offs and pick ups do not interfere with the daily walks. I have a fenced in yard for safe play, and have crates for dogs during unsupervised rest times. I feed twice daily (three times if requested), and am happy to administer medications and supplements. I spend the entire day with the dogs, from 6:30am to 7pm, and then a final run around/night check between 10-11pm. Daycare we are happy to feed dogs as well, they have the same day as the boarding dogs, but go home at the end of the day!

About: My story begins in 2006, I met my very first fur baby, Tanner. A 70 lbs, one year, old Lab/Shepherd mix. We were inseparable. From that moment, I learned as much as I could about taking care of dogs. I gave him lots of walks and so much love. Tanner lived a full and happy life and when he passed, I was devastated. After 6 years without a dog, our family then adopted our Chili, a Jack Chi mix. He's feisty, friendly, and brings us so much joy. My boys and I would love to help care for your fur babies. Both my 12 and 9 year old sons have a passion for caring for animals. We love walking and cuddling with both cats and dogs. Our neighbours rely on us to take care of their dogs when they are away. We would love to meet and walk your dog. Send me a message and we can set up a plan that works for you. I work part-time and am available for early morning, mid-afternoon, or later evening visits. We can work together to find a care schedule that meets your and your pet's needs. I love walking dogs and being outside. I have a yard that is fenced in to keep your dog safe and easily access the outside for bio breaks. Our home is located close to the Owen Sound harbour and Kelso Beach for lots of walking options.

About: My name is Hannah T. and I have been working in pet care for over eight years now. I previously volunteered and worked at my local dog shelter walking and attending to the dogs in need. I have done dog sitting on numerous occasions for numerous clients who have nothing but positive things to say. I put a lot of effort into my volunteer work at the shelter and have worked with some of the most difficult dogs on the market, turning them around to be loving and adoptable pets in new homes. I am one of the biggest dog people I know, this is known to everyone around me and I promise to love your pet maybe even a bit more than you do. What can I say? I love their fluffy, loving, energy. I am a kindergarten teacher who works locally in our community. I am available before and after hours (8am -4pm) as well as weekends :) Our yard is not fenced but our furry friend Remmy (who loves every friend he meets) is accustomed to two large hikes a day! Your furry friend will have full access to our loving home full of dog beds and treats.

“Jessica is the absolute best sitter for Sully. He loves staying at her house or having her stay at our house while we’re away. We’re lucky to have her!”

10. Madison V.
“Madison and her husband Kyle have boarded our dog Angel for the last 6 years. Angel is dog and human reactive and for this reason it is very hard for us to find some one who a) has the knowledge and experience to keep Angel safe b) is willing to board her due to her behavioral issues. With Kyle's training background and Madison's clinic/daycare experience we know that in their care Angel will always be safe and well cared for. We joke that there are only 6 people in the world Angel likes and Madison and Kyle are the top of that list. They are very special people and if your dog is lucky enough to board with them they will be in the best hands.”

11. Ruth M.
“Ruth is the ultimate pet companion, blending responsibility with a loving touch. Her honesty and resourcefulness make her more than a sitter; she's a true friend to every fur baby, ensuring their happiness and well-being with genuine care and attention. Trust in Ruth for peace of mind.”
