“Ashley was incredibly accommodating with an out-of-the-norm pick-up times and with a last minute booking. Her property has plenty of space for the dogs to play and my dog loved spending time with her pups. She was very communicative and stayed in touch over the weekend. Only downside - my pup came home smelling quite strongly of cigarette smoke. Other than that, would book again!”

“Claudia is perfect. She took care of my two kitties for an entire week and they are loved her. Even one of them being a shy one, she figured out how to get close to him. I totally recommend her and definitely will request her services again.”
About: I have loved, owned, trained and bonded with several dogs over many years. My black lab, Cody was "best in class" one year. We were both very proud 😊My border collie, Liam and I were inseparable. Please see my pictures. I am thoughtful, caring and confident that your pet and I would get along great! There are no other pets in my home. At the moment, my lifestyle doesn't allow for me to have a dog of my own. Therefore, being a dog sitter/walker is a good option for me to satisfy my need for Canine companionship, and give other people’s dogs the care and attention they need. The photos show the park-like setting that is right outside my back door. I have recently fenced my yard. Regardless, I would ensure your pet was safely taken outside when they needed to go outside, on leash if necessary, particularly if your elderly dog or puppy needs extra attention. I love to walk all year round. The Mildmay park is just around the corner. I often visit the Carrick Tract trails to either walk or snowshoe in the winter. I would take care of your pet as if he/she were my own.

I am self-employed, so I have flexible availability and pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I’m available seven days a week and structure my time around each pet’s regular schedule. My goal is to keep pets comfortable in their own home and regular routine while giving owners peace of mind while they’re away. I provide care in the client’s home, so my focus is on keeping pets safe, comfortable and settled in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible including feeding, walks, medication, litter care, playtime, companionship, and bedtime routines. Before a booking, I like to review care instructions, health needs, emergency contacts, vet information, home access details and any household routines. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, food, medications and anything that could affect a pet’s safety. I also respect the client’s home by keeping things tidy, collecting mail/packages, caring for plants and following household instructions.
About: Growing up we constantly had many different pets. May it be cats, dogs, birds or even fish. I love animals and the joy they bring, so as soon as I got my license I started a successful pet sitting business back home. Now that I have moved to Port Hope, I am looking to start back providing care and assistance to my fellow neighbors and their beloved animals. I am extremely patient and kind. I love all animals and if I am not familiar with a particular care process, I am happy to learn. I look forward to being able to provide my services to anyone who needs it. I do currently work 8.30 to 4.30 Monday to Friday but my work is on a hybrid model and I live close to work. I am willing to come and help before work, after work and even on my lunch breaks if needed. My weekends are very open and flexible as well. I currently rent and have 2 cats, so taking care of your pet in my home is possible but restricted. While taking care of pets in their home. I will abide by all house rules. I will visit your home and provide a minimum of 3 walks a day for drop ins, if I am housesitting then more care will be provided. I will also brush your pets and if you wish more grooming services, this can always be discussed.

“Excellent communication and very quick to respond. We had our two dogs stay for a week at his home. He made a fence for his backyard just so our dogs could have fun outside. Our dogs were happy and healthy when they were returned. He took many photos and was very ready to receive them. Amazing care.”

“Tucker had a wonderful vacation at Deborah's house while we were away. He seemed happy and busy and well exercised. I think he really liked having another dog in the house. It made our trip even better knowing Tuck was well taken care of. We will be back!”

“Absolutely adored having Leah and Stephen watch our Ginny girl! It was very short notice due to an emergency and also her first time away from the family and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Thank you so much!”

“Winnie was very happy when I collected her, very pleased with. Idols care. She made me laugh when she said Winnie jumped on the bed and jumped up on top of the cat!!Will certainly take Winnie to her again, thank you”

“Pam took our Josie for a night while we were away and she was excellent! Lots of updates and pictures and right away you can tell that Pamela is a dog person and has a natural ability to connect with dogs. It's comforting to know we are leaving our dog with someone who enjoys it and Josie came home happy. Thank you Pam!”

“Jennifer was fantastic to deal with and easy to communicate with. Sam came home happy, healthy, and with some new dog friends. I will definitely use Jennifer’s services again in the future.”

“Margarida and her family were amazing. She took great care of my cat and constantly updated me on how she was doing. I felt so comfortable leaving her there and will definitely rebook with Margarida for my next trip.”

“This was our first time using this service and it was great. We had a meet up beforehand to check compatibility. During Angus’s stay we had daily texts with photos that really made us smile. I think he had fun! Would recommend and we will definitely use this service again.”

“Courtney was absolutely exceptional! Stella had a great time in her care! Her property is amazing! She had excellent communication; sent pictures while out on a walk, and kept me in the loop and reassured while we were away! She definitely went over and above to pamper, exercise and take great care of Stella! We would 100% book again and reccommend Courtney!”

About: Hi there, My name is Natalie and I live with my partner Jesse, our 12 year old pug Bernie and our 4 year old Terrier mix, Lucy. We are huge dog lovers and often spend our weekends going for long walks and volunteering for a local animal rescue. We would treat your pet like our own while they are in our care. Every day we make sure our two dogs are cared for and happy. Our joy and purpose comes from seeing them living their best lives. Safety and lost dog prevention always comes first. It is so important that a dog is secure and never given the opportunity to be in harms way.

About: Think of this as a boutique, in-home pet boarding retreat — not a kennel. With 30+ years of hands-on experience raising, hosting, and loving just about every creature imaginable — cats, dogs, fowl, rabbits, rodents, and even tortoises (yes, really) — your pet will be in wildly capable hands. Puppies who need gentle training? Seniors who need extra patience and TLC? Shy pets, quirky pets, “my pet is kind of weird” pets? I’ve met them all and adore them deeply. Our home is designed for calm, gentle pet care, nestled on a peaceful 100-acre forest property (freija.ca), which means plenty of fresh air, enrichment, and stress-free vibes. No kids, no chaos — just a quiet, loving environment where animals can actually relax. My husband and I both work from home, so your pet is never left wondering where the humans went. Someone is always around for companionship, playtime, belly rubs, or just existing together (a highly underrated skill). And then there’s Honey, our resident adventure cat and official Welcome Committee. He absolutely loves meeting visiting pets and brings big “friendly camp counsellor” energy to every introduction. If you’re looking for a sitter who treats your pet like family, understands animals on a deep level, and can handle everything from puppy zoomies to senior snoozes — you just found your place. 🐾💚 My husband and I both work from home, which means your pet gets constant supervision, companionship, and engagement — ideal for puppies needing routine, senior dogs who require extra care, and pets who don’t do well being left alone. There are no children in the home, just experienced adults who speak fluent “animal.” Our home is set up specifically for gentle, low-stress pet sitting, tucked away on a quiet 100-acre forest property (freija.ca). It’s perfect for dogs who love sniffing adventures, cats who enjoy calm observation posts, and pets who thrive in a peaceful environment. No crates by default, no overcrowding, and absolutely no chaos. If you’re looking for reliable, experienced, in-home pet boarding where your pet is treated like family (and maybe a little spoiled), you’ve found it. Your pet brings the personality — we’ve already got the love, patience, and forest vibes covered.

“Nicole was so great with watching our dog, Jagger! Knowing that Jagger is super shy, she was able to accommodate a meet and greet prior to picking her up which was super helpful! She was responsive and super flexible with our schedule! It was obvious that Nicole loves dogs so it was easy to leave our Jagger with her!”
