There's no one else I'd consider! Jake went above and beyond for us while we were in France for two weeks. Updates, videos, pictures were provided every day. If it weren't for Jake, I don't think I could have gone away on vacation at all. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Jake is so easy to book with and was so kind and considerate! If anyone ever needs a walker/sitter, Jake is the number one person I'd recommend. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

About: I provide reliable, attentive care for dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens, tailoring my approach to each pet’s routine and personality. I have hands-on experience with puppies and kittens, including reinforcing basic training, routines, and positive behaviours, while creating a calm, safe, and low-stress environment so pets feel comfortable and cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I regularly schedule doggy daycare and pet sitting around my work and event commitments, ensuring pets receive consistent attention, timely walks or playtime, feeding, and plenty of affection. I plan my schedule carefully so each pet gets reliable, unrushed care. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in every setting. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely, keep spaces clean and secure, and provide constant supervision appropriate to each pet. I’m attentive to behaviour, comfort levels, and any special instructions, and I communicate regularly so owners feel confident their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I have always been around dogs my whole life, almost everyone in my circle has one! I love animals and spending time outside so this is the perfect opportunity! I have good patience in terms of puppies, teaching tricks and letting your dog sniff around! A daily walk is a dogs favourite part of the day and I would love to be the one to give them that! I am currently working part time as a server, which is amazing so I work most evenings and weekends. I am also a student studying in the Medical Laboratory Technician program so I’d love to spend my free time outside and with dogs! I have a friendly medium sized dog that I live with who is fully trained. He is taken for 2-4 walks a day and taken to parks to run around! In a clients home, I would ask to be walked through the home and shown which doors to use. I would also ask which areas within the neighborhood the dog likes best to visit on walks. I understand the anxiety when it comes to leaving your dog and/or house in the care of another so I would treat both with the best care possible.

About: I’ve grown up with and around dogs and always loved being around and taking care of them. Since 2024 I spent lots of time worthing with dogs of all ages and (mostly mixed) breeds at Petsave in lively. I found my joy in fostering and walking dogs of various sizes and temperaments. I’ll be able to help you no matter if your dogs needs a quick walk to relive themselves or even on longer walks up to 2 hours ( up to 8 km). I work early morning shifts and get home shortly after lunch, meaning I can take your pups out anywhere from 1:30-8 pm Monday to Saturday or anytime on Sunday (even when the weather is less than ideal) I have a fenced in yard with two friendly 70-80 llb mixed breed dogs. The fence is between 5-6 ft tall to ensure even escape artists stay contained and safe. With two of my own at home I have gathered plenty of supplies and techniques to safely secure and walk up to three dogs at once.

About: I’ve cared for my own dogs for years and have also helped friends and family with theirs, including large breeds. I genuinely love being around dogs and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or just giving them attention and affection, I enjoy spending quality time with them and treating them like part of the family. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine alongside part-time work. I’m home regularly, and my husband works from home, so pets are never left alone. I make sure they get consistent feeding, playtime, attention and daily walks or exercise, depending on their needs and I can safely keep pets separated if needed for comfort. I provide a calm, safe environment and supervise pets closely at all times. I live in a spacious, pet-friendly apartment where dogs are welcome and comfortable. I have a friendly, well-trained 3-year-old Golden Retriever who loves playing with other dogs and is very gentle. I also have crates available if needed. Since my backyard isn’t fenced, pets are always safely leashed or tethered outside and are never left unattended.

About: I had cats most of my life and a dog for 6 years (all rescues, all now deceased). I am a mature, reliable and caring 58 year old with a post-graduate degree and have chosen to dedicate my retirement to animals - pet sitting, volunteering, and animal advocacy work. I have a wide open schedule as I am retired with very few commitments. I love animals and want to dedicate all my available time to caring for them. I will spend time petting, playing, and feeding your fur baby as well as cleaning up after them. I'm also happy to water plants and take in mail or any other reasonable service that may be required.

She was also great at providing updates and communicating when a severe snow storm essentially shut down the city which was appreciated.

About: I’ve raised everything from large Labs and Dalmatians to my current friendly, vaccinated 2-year-old Chihuahua- Muffy. We live in a cozy, one-level home with a decent-sized backyard and a great park just steps away! Whether your pup needs big-dog exercise or small-dog snuggles, I treat every guest like family and strictly follow your routine to ensure they feel safe and right at home. I shih-tzu not, your dog will have a paws-itively great time! I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement and am happy to support any training routines you have in place. Since I'm home all day, I can provide the frequent, short training sessions and immediate praise that help good habits stick. Whether your dog prefers their own crate for a peaceful night’s sleep or likes to snooze on a plush dog bed, I’m happy to follow whatever setup makes them feel most comfortable. Because my home is a one-level 'safe zone,' I can easily keep their favorite spot nearby so they always feel like part of the family. I provide a supervised environment where your pet is never left alone, ensuring they stay happy, relaxed, and secure throughout their stay.

Sarah is wonderful and made me feel at ease being away from my girls, knowing how well she connected with them and how serious she takes her role. Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Greater Sudbury on Rover is $25.53 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 72 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Greater Sudbury. About 83% of Greater Sudbury sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Greater Sudbury stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Greater Sudbury choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
