“I have nothing but good things to say, they spent lots of time with my dog while I was out of town when they went over to check in on him, took him for walks and played with his favorite toys. Your pets are in good hands with Dan and Véronique!”

“Lianne was very easy to work with. She was communicative and was still up to looking after our fur baby who has some behavioural issues with new people. We were very grateful that she was able to come to our house to check on him and let him out while we were away. Would definitely ask her again! Thanks Lianne!”

“Kennedy was fantastic—she arrived right on time, kept me updated during and after her visit, and had great communication throughout. She was also very friendly and easy to work with. I’ll definitely be booking her again in the future!”

About: As a dedicated dog sitter, what sets me apart is my comprehensive approach to pet care. Beyond providing the essentials like feeding and exercise, I bring a wealth of experience in dog training. With a background in positive reinforcement techniques, I focus on enhancing your dog's obedience and social skills during their stay. This includes commands like sit, stay, and leash manners. Additionally, my keen understanding of canine behavior allows me to tailor the environment to your dog's preferences, minimizing stress and promoting a comfortable stay. Your furry friend will not only receive excellent care but also benefit from a learning and growth experience that will positively impact their behavior and interactions. I am current studying so I have plenty of time apart from college hours. I am totally free on week ends so I can take care and play with them. When caring for pets in my home, I create a comfortable environment with designated play and rest areas, following their routine closely. In clients' homes, I replicate routines while providing companionship and necessary tasks, ensuring pets are well-cared for and content.

About: I’ve had my dog Billy since I was 16! I put in a lot of training and work with him and he became my service dog. Now I’ve been around lots of other dogs and can’t wait to meet even more! I’m home every day, all day so I have plenty of time to spend with any new friends spending time here! We always spend time outside morning, afternoon and night, with lots of needed in between potty breaks. Walks around the neighbourhood are a fun time! Let me know if you don’t want that and that no problem. I have a yard but it isn’t fenced in. Long lines or leashes are used. I have two dogs who love spending time with new friends! Crates are welcome and have their own area. Enrichment activities are our favourite way to pass time but we can’t wait to figure out your pups
“Lesa took excellent care of my our cats while away for vacation. One of our cats is geriatric with special needs, on multiple medications. She was accommodating to visit at the time that the medications were due, and provided them as ordered. My vacation was unexpectedly extended due to flight delays/weather, and she was thankfully able to extend her visits by a few days, ensuring my cats wouldn’t go without care. I would hire her again in the future, she was wonderful!”

About: I have had dogs all my life and can't wait to meet yours! I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to spend quality time playing with and exercising your pup. My 6-year old Golden Retriever Kap loves other dogs if yours enjoys some socializing. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so anytime you need help during the week (I may have occasional weekend availability - just reach out) I am currently offering dog walking and/or drop-in services for dogs and cats - I treat your pets like my own and adapt our activities to your pet’s personality.
About: Ive had dogs all my life, and my own dog for a decade and a cat recently. I love animals and want to make sure they get good care when you need to be away. Im a hiker and will take your puppy along. Ive had my own pet so I am familiar with their needs, feeding schedules, walking, and medication. Whatever they need to be happy and healthy My schedule is flexible throughout the day. I've had dogs and prioritize their needs to ensure they are comfortable. I am currently able to commit as much time as needed to your animals. When taking care of my friend's pets I always ensure to visit around the same time daily, provide care without disturbing the home and make sure that their pets are safe and happy.
About: I’ve grown up with and around dogs and always loved being around and taking care of them. Since 2024 I spent lots of time worthing with dogs of all ages and (mostly mixed) breeds at Petsave in lively. I found my joy in fostering and walking dogs of various sizes and temperaments. I’ll be able to help you no matter if your dogs needs a quick walk to relive themselves or even on longer walks up to 2 hours ( up to 8 km). I work early morning shifts and get home shortly after lunch, meaning I can take your pups out anywhere from 1:30-8 pm Monday to Saturday or anytime on Sunday (even when the weather is less than ideal) I have a fenced in yard with two friendly large mixed breed dogs. The fence is between 5-6 ft tall to ensure even escape artists stay contained and safe. With two of my own at home I have gathered plenty of supplies and techniques to safely secure and walk up to three dogs at once.
About: I am empathetic and animals are naturally drawn to me. I have always lived with dogs. I also had 2 guinea pigs that lived up to 6 & 8 years old. I've worked in dog kennels, am able to administer medications, bandages and special diets. Comfortable with crate training. I've trained puppies and can assist with senior care. I currently work as a electronic document management specialist. My schedule is flexible. Pet care is exactly what I need for a mental break during my daily and weekly routine. I am respectful of your home and belongings. I will follow your guidelines on how you would like me to care for your fur babies. :)
About: I have had pets my whole life, ranging from rabbits to dogs and even horses. Growing up my parents operated a boarding facility for horses so taking care of other people’s animals is in my blood. My dog comes with me everywhere he can but when he can’t I have to depend on a Rover sitter just like me! I work full time but am available during select evenings and weekends. Dogs are welcome to join my senior lab mix on his evening fun, or for less social creatures I can meet them at home and make sure they get what they need. I do have a senior lab mix and a rabbit in my home so dogs who have behavioural needs concerning prey drive or relationships with other dogs will not be eligible for boarding in my home. I have lots of space inside and out for everyone to sprawl and do their own thing. I have no children and none that visit.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chelmsford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
