âOur little guy had such a great weekend with Caitlin! We loved seeing the photos of their about town adventures! Our Buddy is an old guy with some special needs and we really appreciated Caitlin's sensitive approach and caring nature. We will definitely rebook in the future!â

âWas worried leaving Charlie alone with strangers for the first time but Brynn made him feel right at home. He received lots of cuddles and play time with the children. So happy with Brynn and her family that already ask if she would take him again when we go away next time. Highly recommend Brynnâ

âKirti and her husband are adorable! They took excellent care of our dog and kept us updated several times a day with pictures and videos. Yako was absolutely delighted! They were flexible and incredibly kind â I highly recommend them đĽ°â

âWe had a great experience with Ella looking after our dog. She sent regular updates throughout the day, which was really reassuring, and it was clear Ella was kind and loving. Our dog seemed happy and well cared for, and it looked like he had a great day. Weâd definitely feel comfortable leaving him with Ella again!â

âWe are so grateful for Lynette! Weâve had her take care of our 5 month old yorkie poo twice now, once for a weekend and once just for the day. The true testament to how good she is with our pup was how excited he was to see her when she came back to pick him up the second time! Lynette has been on time, very good at comminicating how things are going, and sends pictures while weâre away. She also took Dobby for walks and sent us a map of where and how far they went. I definitely recommend Lynette, sheâs very sweet and you can tell how much she loves dogs and knows how to train and care for them.â
âWe couldnât have asked for better care for Hunter! This was his very first time away from our family, so we were naturally a little nervous. Vanessa and Paige went above and beyond to make sure he was happy, comfortable, and loved. They kept us updated with photos throughout his stay, took him swimming, and gave him so much attention and care. When we picked him up, he honestly looked even better than when we dropped him off! It gave us such peace of mind knowing he was in such kind, caring hands while we were away. Thank you so much, Paige and Vanessa, for treating Hunter like one of your own. We will absolutely be booking with you again, and I wouldnât hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!â

âFantastic experience! Great communication, video updates, and it was obvious Remy was well cared for. I had complete peace of mind while we were away and would absolutely book again. Highly recommend!â

About: I grew up with a small family dog as a young child in our family home, and took the leap into adulthood and dog ownership on my own! Porter is a 5.5 year old male neutered bernedoodle. He's super spoiled and rules the house :-) He loves having a playmate around so we thought we'd check out the Rover scene! We have experience looking after our neighbours dogs (Golden retrievers and a yellow lab). I have used Rover as a pet parent for help during vacations, etc. I know how hard it is to find someone trustworthy that will follow instructions. We go on 4 walks a day - sometimes more with yard play thrown in. I work from home and have a flexible schedule to allow all the dog care! I'm familiar with medicating dogs, including allergy injections so I can assist with care like that if required. I'm guilty of taking so many pictures of my dog, especially when he has friends visit so please be comforted knowing you will get lots of updates! We live on a lake so if your dog loves to swim and loves pontoon boat rides, they will have one heck of a vacation :-) If you have multi dog family - I'm happy to host them all! Please - no cats. I currently work from home and have lots of time with my flexible schedule to accommodate walks, playtime, enrichment, etc. Porter can adjust to anyone else's schedule to make it easier, or we can do solo walks if that would be your preference. I do not have a fenced yard, but we go on leashed walked at least 4x a day - plus more playtime. Porter is allowed on furniture, so your dog is as well! There are no separate rooms for dogs in my house. He used to be crate trained and so i am familiar with it and can crate your dog if you require it.
About: Our family included a sweet cat who lived to the age of 19. We also have a dog who is 5 years old and we understand the joys of puppy training. We enjoyed Puppy school and agility training and understand what is required to keep dogs happy and well exercised. I recently retired and I am looking for ways to stay active and dog walking is an activity that I enjoy. We currently have our own dog and he loves companions when appropriate. If your pet is not social- no problem! I have a fully fenced yard and a 5 year old mini golden doodle who loves furry friends. I enjoy long walks and am well prepared with treats and water. Rain or snow don't deter me from a walk- its always enjoyable with the right outerwear! I have attended puppy school with my dog and understand the concepts of dog behavior and how to keep dogs in control, engaged and happy.
âThank you for taking care of Griffin. Belinda is good and took good care of Griffin. We will surely be working with her the next time we need boarding. Griffin came home relaxed and calm. THXâ

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
