About: Hi there! My name is Sam! I have been caring for cats and dogs professionally since 2019. I have always been an animal lover, from slimy and scaly to soft and fluffy. Every animal deserves tender love and care, especially while their family is away. It can be scary for pets when their family is away and I understand how a gentle, patient approach can ease that discomfort for pet parents and pet. Safety is my number 1 priority and I’m a big believer in loss prevention, meaning the pets I care for are always secured. Never off leash or in areas that could be a potential danger. I also understand that animals have mental and physical enrichment needs, I aim to stimulate their brains as well as get them moving physically. I have an almost 8 year old dog named Toby, he is a shih tzu mix. I have been caring for dogs and cats professionally since 2019 so Toby is happy to share his house and backyard with friends! I ask that your dog is dog friendly to ensure that both pups are happy during the stay. I also have a 9 year young cat, named Phoebe. She is comfortable with sharing her home with dogs that are happy to give her space. Even if your dog hasn’t been around a cat before I’m happy to do a trail and see how your pup responds, some dogs can be easily redirected and we can make it work! Some dogs have a higher prey drive and redirecting can be hard. A meet and greet prior to a stay will be important to ensure all parties are comfy! I am currently Monday to Wednesday, so I am able to accommodate boarding in our home. I’m currently available Thursday-Sunday for new customers. Arrangements can be made for pups require a stay that falls on Monday-Wednesday. My days are typically opposite to my partner, so your pup will never be home alone long. Safety is my number one priority with every animal I care for. I cannot imagine what I would do if I lost either of my pets. Our backyard is fully fenced and I check often for imperfections such as holes in or under the fence. Your dog will always be on leash while out and about, even if your pup has great recall I will never let them off leash unless in a secure area, such as a dog park or other fenced in area. We use long lines on hikes to provide the off leash experience.

I am currently district area trainer (I train and mentor new dog trainers in addition to having my own clients) and therapy dog trainer. I have trained thousands of dogs from puppies to service dogs. I have raised and fostered dozens of dogs of my own and have decades of experience with all different types of behaviours. I can offer flexible scheduling for dog walking and drop in services for any pet. Spots available 7 days a week. Training services are also available in a fun and safe environment. I can feed/water your pet and crate them if needed. I am a purely positive reinforcement trainer and will use no aversive techniques for your pet.

About: I'm not as new to professional pet caring now, but I'm constantly learning and I have respect and love for animals. I have cared for pet dog and cat from puppy to old age and I am always learning from experts on how to handle most situations that will arise. I am able to be extremely active and engaging with animals to ensure they are properly stimulated and socialized. I take my job very seriously as a guardian of a pet myself I know that they are as much family as pet. I will always take special care to listen to a pet's guardian's advice on how to care for their pet so that they are properly taken care of as they deserve and expect to be treated. I’m currently self employed and mainly work at night when my dogs are asleep. During the day I am free to look after not only my dogs but also other people’s pets as well. When I’m not working I’m often taking care of my dog’s needs. I follow instructions from pet owners and ask about their pet to find out what kind of care they need. Every dog has its own personality and needs and I do the best to treat them as their owner would treat them so their stay is as comfortable as possible.

I am currently working as an RVT at a clinic, but am available on Wednesdays and weekends. I have flexible lunch hours to do drop in visits as needed. I am certified in pet CPR. I have a crash tested pet crate if there is ever a need to transport your pet in my car.

About: If my animals could speak they would tell you they need alone time lol. They are never alone. Our house is a revolving door of our family coming and going. I am home every evening and weekend. Finding the "time" to add this to my life won't be difficult. I enjoy walking my own dogs every night so adding additional walks to my weeks is something I look forward too. I live on a quiet one-acre property in the countryside, which makes walks and outdoor time easy and enjoyable. I'm also within walking distance of a great local park that dogs love exploring. My home is a spacious bungalow, so there's plenty of room for your pup to relax, play, and make themselves comfortable. Since everything is accessible on the main floor, it's also a great setup for senior dogs or those who aren't fans of stairs. If your dog is crate-trained, I have lots of space to accommodate their crate as well. I know every dog has their own routine and personality, so I'll do my best to stick to what they're used to—whether that's specific mealtimes, regular walks, play sessions, or just lots of attention and cuddles. My goal is to make sure your dog feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away.
