“It was the first time using Rover and i fell upon Nomida and her lovely family. She took such good care of our 2 year old maltipoo, sent me several pictures on a daily basis and provided me regular updates. I was so happy to see that our dog was so well taken care of and having fun while we were away. I highly recommend Nomida for your dog.”

“Andrea, Marc-André and Yokai were great on every levels when we left our Keeshond Willy with them for a long trip. They are good, caring dog parents at heart and it shows. We felt our baby was having his own little vacation with his new friends while we were away. They were always reachable, and made sure we knew how things were going. I completely trust them and would happily have Willy stay over with them again in the future.”

“I am always so pleased when Stéphanie dog sits my boy Riley. She is so accommodating and takes wonderful care of my dog. She sends daily pictures and updates and I always feel completely reassured when I leave my dog with her. I won’t go to anyone else to sit Riley as long as Stephanie is available!! ☺️”

“It was our first time using Rover and what a blessing it was to find Carolina & Francisco! From our senior chihuahua to our 4 year old pup, all our needs were met. I appreciated all the updates and pictures. It really made me feel at ease. Our pups were spoiled with lots of love, attention and a beautiful backyard for lots of sniffing! Highly recommend and definately will rebook♥️?”

I was super worried about leaving my dog for 12 days or so. Pipo is 13 years old and very attached to me. After I met Ana and Oscar I had a feeling that Pipo will be in good hands. Ana and Oscar and the children are a family who loves animals and I could see this in the videos sent to me everyday. I came back yesterday and Pipo was well taken care. I would not hesitate to use this sitter again.
We boarded our 4 month old puppy cocker spaniel for 1 night with Marguerite and we were so happy that we did. She was very loving and caring towards our puppy and her home is well appointed with everything necessary for your furry friend. Our dog was walked often and was super happy there. Marguerite sent us pictures and a video of our puppy which was really nice. It is obvious that she loves animals and seems to have a special way with them. We will definitely book with her again in the future, she is amazing!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
