“This was my second time using Rover, and I was in a bit of a bind. I usually keep my boy Patch at home in Berens with a sitter - he is a playful country boy and a big suck who likes his routines - but everyone was busy. I found Dorotea on River, and she was wonderful from the start. She had me bring Patch and myself in so she could get to know the both of us, learn his routines, and make sure he was comfortable in her home before I left. That meant a lot to me. She kept me well informed with updates and pictures, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. She gave Patch all the love and attention he deserves, and then some. It’s clear she truly loves animals. I was half joking that Patch might not want to come home with me. This experience allowed me to enjoy my time away without worrying or feeling guilty, because I knew he was in excellent hands. Dorotea was a blessing for Patch and for me, I would trust her again in a heartbeat.”

About: Between my husband and I we have over 10 years of pet experience. Between growing up with animals and more recently fostering dogs, in addition to dog sitting for some friends we've had a wide variety of dogs in the house. I work part time which allows me the flexibility to spend lots of time with the dogs. I'm a morning person and enjoy getting up early to go for walks, and now that it's nice out I'm likely to be outside most of the day! We have a big fenced yard which is great for the dogs to run around and play. We also live in a quiet little town which is perfect for taking the dogs for walks with minimal distractions

About: I’ve had pets my whole life, and shared the past 15 years every single day with my dogs. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I’m available most days and evenings with notice. Being a home body makes for great pet sitting. I live in a pet friendly condo that I own. My home consists of one small, elderly female dog and one young cat. I have many tropical plants; only pets who know boundaries with plants can be accommodated. There is no smoking or drinking here, as I like to maintain a quiet home. We have no children or frequent visitors. Pets are fed twice daily or as needed, and walked 3-4x per day based on needs. Bike rides offered for high energy dogs. I live close to a leash/ off leash dog park. I can offer basic grooming, training, and exercise as needed. I’m proficient with administering medication.

Her spot was well equipped with a very clean kennel space and a 2 acre fenced yard for the dogs to run. She gave us updates with great photos and videos in the morning and evening while we were away.
