“My dog is unique and unlike to any other dogs they have taken care of. They handled my dog very very well. They didn’t even give up on him. They are just the best people for my dog or any dog our there! We can really tell with our interactions with Jacqueline and her husband that they trully care about animals and their well being. 5 star recommended.”

“Odessa was amazing and we would definitely use her again. She was very flexible and accommodating with our needs especially for pick up/drop off times. She sent us a lot of pictures and we felt very comfortable having her watch our little Henri. You can tell that she has a great love for dogs and really enjoys spending time with them. Would recommend her to anyone needing a dog sitter in that area!”

About: Loved animals from early on. Patience and care with them while owners are away is something I can provide. Will treat them like family. Happy to help the animals. I work part time only a few hours a day, so I will help the animals with the rest of my free time. I will be able to take dogs for walkswith my dogs, or alone if necessary. I will closely and accurately follow the instructions that are left for me so that the pets have consistency of care they would expect from their own owners until Mom or dad comes to be with them again.
“I was so pleased to see Santana happy when I returned and happy to see me. I received updates while I was gone and I think he managed to melt in. He can be a little nervous with certain things like slippery floors and it was nice to see they tried to make him more comfy but putting down little carpets for him to walk on!”

“Kirsten was amazing with our pup! She was very friendly, accomodating, and so loving toward the animals. We would definitely not hesitate to leave our puppy in her care again.”

“Terri and Randy provided exactly what Jett needed for a sleepover. A welcoming home environment! We were so happy Terri accepted Jett, and so grateful for the loving, professional care provided. We would certainly contact Terri again!”

“Lisa and Geoff took wonderful care of our dog Jacob. Jacob is a large Great Dane who is also an older dog which made us nervous to leave him just anywhere. We were very happy when Lisa and Geoff invited us over for a meet and greet where we could ask any questions we had and also have an opportunity to see their home. We could tell just by the types of questions they were asking that they wanted to ensure Jacob had a very comfortable and fun stay. Their property was beautiful and would allow for Jacob to have ample space to exercise, play, or rest. They were very nice people and also wanted to ensure Jacob was a good fit for their home and family. During Jacobs stay we received lots of photos and feedback showing Jacob was well taken care of and very happy. The pick up went very well and we hope we can leave Jacob with Lisa and Geoff again next time! Thanks so much!”

About: I've spent years caring for dogs through fostering, and pet-sitting for friends, family, and neighbours. I have experience with dogs of various sizes, breeds, personalities, and support needs, including senior dogs and those with disabilities. My partner and I also recently cared for a diabetic cat over several months, giving us experience following medication schedules and providing attentive care for pets with specific health requirements. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with family dogs and have continued caring for pets throughout adulthood. While I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to pet care, and I'd be happy to provide testimonials from previous pet owners if that helps ease your mind! I really enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away! I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available for pet sitting throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends. Your pet will receive lots of attention and will rarely be left alone! Please note: I will be unavailable from July 14–31 due to travel. I currently don't have any pets of my own, which allows me to focus entirely on the pets in my care! I live in a spacious, pet-friendly apartment with a patio and easy access to parks, walking trails, and Penticton's dog-friendly beach areas. I'll be happy to stick to the schedule that your pets are familiar with (for example, if you let them on furniture, they'll be welcome on my furniture, if they usually sleep in a crate overnight, they'll do the same at my place, if they aren’t comfortable around other animals, I’m happy to accommodate that). Whether your pet loves outdoor adventures, relaxed walks, or plenty of cuddle time at home, I'll tailor their care to what makes them happiest!

“Chelsea was amazing with my Frenchie, he even followed her dog into the water at the beach for the first time! I love how comfortable he appeared to be with Chelsea. The updates made me feel at ease and it was nice seeing that he was having a great time. I’ll definitely be choosing Chelsea again.”

“Julie was very accommodating, taking our two dogs in last minute. She went above and beyond by taking them on a walk and sending updates and pictures of them. We highly recommend Julie if you want someone you can trust with your dogs. We will use her again when we come back to visit the Okanagan.”

“Karen and Ken took such good care of Bowen while I was away. They kept me up to date on how he was doing and even sent pictures and videos of him settling in, which gave me peace of mind. I highly recommend Karen and Ken as they were superb with my Bowen!”

“Patchen and Stacy were awesome! Our dog Bear had a wonderful time with them and I really appreciated the pictures of Bear while we were on vacation. I will definitely be bringing my dog back to stay with them!”
“I had a great experience with Carissa. She took wonderful care of our schnoodle, while in Penticton for a sports event. Feeby was happy and relaxed when I dropped her off and just as happy when I picked her up, which says everything. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. I'd absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter.”

“Cat was awesome, she looked after Coop while we were in Mexico and sent updates and pictures anytime I asked. Cooper played lots and had a great time, and I felt comfortable with Cats space and the care she took for Cooper.”

About: I have had cats my entire life and have always loved them. I have no fear or issue with any behaviour from a cat, from fickle to friendly. Happy to help with any aspect including medication. I have experience with my own cat needing medication before and have no fear of sharp claws. Happy to discuss whatever feline needs you might have!

About: I have one 2 year old cat named Bee! She’s a social and vocal little kitty, but can hide from loud noises and other cats. She sometimes gets topical medication, and gets her nails done at home.

“Sophie was amazing with my cats. She sent us photos everyday and we could see our cats getting more and more comfortable with her day by day, which was reassuring. Our cats are particular with diet and litter situation and I’m thankful that Sophie was able to follow through with process. We also had an emergency situation and she accepted our last minute request promptly. I’ll highly recommend Sophie and would definitely ask her help next time.”

About: I’m a Chilean living in Canada and a lifelong animal lover, especially dogs and cats. I’ve always had pets, but for the past four years since moving here, I haven’t had the chance to share my life with one. I truly miss spending time with furry friends, although most of the time I visit two dogs that my friends kindly let me walk and spend time with. I’m usually available five days a week after 2:30 p.m., and on my two days off I’m free the whole day — but I’m flexible and happy to adjust if needed. I prefer to care for pets in their own homes, as the place I’m renting doesn’t allow me to have animals. This way, they also feel more comfortable and happy in their familiar space.
About: I am the first person most family, friends or neighbours call when they need someone to keep an eye on their home and their beloved pets. I have owned pets since I was young. So I am comfortable around dogs, cats, small animals and fish tanks. Apart from the usual diet and exercise expected, I have experience administering meds for cats and dogs (pills & needles) if required. I have fun trying to teach dogs how to dance! I frequently housesit for extended periods during the winter months, keeping your home safe and warm while you enjoy the warmth of a faraway beach. If I am housesitting I will be around all day, for other pet care I can do visits on a schedule that works best for you. I will follow any safety precautions set out by the owners. The safety of your pets, your house and my own safety are top priority.
“I was so reluctant to use Rover but then I found Shelly! Now I’m reluctant to leave this review because I don’t want her to get too busy and not be available but she deserves a glowing reference from me. Shelly, is absolutely the best and I feel so blessed to have found her…she is experienced with all their meds, loving and reliable. I highly recommend her as a caregiver. A+++ (and I don’t leave this review lightly….I am very particular when it comes to my babies )”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Oliver
Prices are estimates per day for 1 dog. Pricing may vary based on your search and includes a booking fee of 11%.
About: 💛 I'm a life-long dog owner/dog lover! I work remotely so your dog will have constant companionship and will never be left alone. Whether they want to play out in the spacious and fenced-in yard, go on walks around town, or just relax inside, they'll be treated like family. 💛 Because I work remotely, your dog will have someone nearby for attention, play-time and potty breaks all day long. 💛 I have a sweet senior (female) dog of my own and a lifetime of experience with aging pups. My own dog is super gentle and friendly, making my home a calm, welcoming environment. My dog and I go on several leashed walks per day varying in length of time and dependent on weather; usually first thing in the morning, at around lunch time, after 4 and in the early evening. I have a large, fully fenced yard where your dog can be free to run around under supervision. Because my dog like to wander, we go on several leashed walks per day.
“Our pup had such a great time with Lisa and the family. It felt so good to leave her with such a caring family who treated her like one of their own. We will definitely be back!”

“Terri has a perfect place for puppies! Our puppy seems like she had an amazing day! Super tired, and we were able to enjoy our day know she was in such good hands! Thank you so much!!”

“Jacqueline was great to communicate with to organise dog sitting for Ruby. Ruby had a fabulous day and was well looked after :) I would highly recommend Jaqueline to anyone who needs a dog sitter! Thanks again :)”

“Colleen and Andrew were fantastic. They were very receptive to my pup's unique quirks and were keen on taking in him for the day. They sent updates throughout the day and provided feedback when I picked him up. Their backyard is a huge perk, and their neighborhood provides some awesome walking for the hound. I'll definitely go back to them, as long as they welcome Rudder back!”

“Julie was great: good communication, quick to reply, and sent photos over the day so we knew our dog (Davis) was ok. This was Davis' first time with a pet-sitter and he is a bit wary of strangers but he walked right into Julie's place! She was also very kind when we were late picking up Davis (minor bike crash caused delay) and Davis had no complaints about spending the day with her.”

“John and Lisa were excellent with our pup Milo. They were very accommodating and very friendly :) I would recommend them to anyone looking for any dog sitting service. Thank you John and Lisa!”

About: What sets me apart is the level of presence and care I bring to each home. I focus on maintaining pets’ routines, comfort, and emotional well-being—not just meeting their basic needs. I’m patient, observant, and calm, which helps pets feel safe, especially puppies who are still learning and seniors who need gentler, more attentive care. My routine is built around doing what’s right for the pets I care for. I plan my days to ensure reliability, consistency, and calm, so each pet feels safe and well cared for in their own home. I prioritize safety, routine, and respect. I follow care instructions carefully, maintain a calm, secure environment, and stay attentive to each pet’s physical and emotional needs. Trust matters—to both pets and people.

“Chelsea took wonderful care of our nervous pup. This was our first experience using rover and it was great! Hoping our dog can be looked after by Chelsea again soon in the future!”

“My dog, Harvin, had such an great time here! Stacey was amazing about helping me out at the last minute and had a great set up for little dogs. She sent me photos throughout the day so I felt at ease knowing he was safe and having fun. He came home one tired pup, which is perfect! I am so happy to have someone close to work that I can use in the future! Harvin will be back for sure!”

“Great experience all the way around. I required last minute assistance with my very senior dog Ashton and was relieved when Carissa was available to keep my old man overnight so I could enjoy my Daughters wedding. Due to a hectic schedule I needed help dropping him off and of course was late picking him up. When I arrived I found my dog relaxed and could tell he was comfortable. She was understanding of my time restraints and very pleasant to deal with. I met her big teddy bear of a pup who I could see was a gentle giant compared to my frail 16 yo poodle X. I highly recommend her here in Penticton and will absolutely use her services next time we are in the area. Thank you so very much for your help Carissa!”

About: I'm an active volunteer with the SPCA (providing dog and cat support) and Elderdog, and I regularly dogsit for friends. I have Pet First Aid and CPR training and experience caring for senior dogs. My criminal record and vulnerable sector checks are up-to-date. I am without a dog of my own for the first time in many years and I miss the companionship of a furry friend. I'd love the opportunity to spoil yours! *I am currently offering boarding for one dog only up to 65lbs (30kgs). My schedule varies, but is usually quite flexible as I work part-time from home. I am happy to discuss your pet's needs with you and together we can determine how best to meet them. Your dog will be treated like one of the family and have access to the entire house and yard. I am also a big supporter of positive, reward-based training methods (such as AnimalKind).

About: I was in Pony Club, so I have experience in and around barns and all the residents who might live in one. I currently own and operate an animal sanctuary, where we have had goats, chickens, sheep, pigs and cows. I have always had dogs and cats. I deeply love animals and feel very strong connections. I am able to work my schedule around walks or check ins. I work downtown in Oliver and can make arrangements to ensure I can provide quality care and attention. I strive to make a connection with the animals in my care. I try to be attentive to their unique needs as well as giving them quality time, whether it be for a walk or even chatting while I check in or fill water or food bowls.
About: Always had pets growing up, always happy around any dog no matter breed or size. Big fan of hiking and would be happy to bring another dog in addition to my own. I have rescue and an older cat in the home. We do feedings once a day for the dog but twice for the cat. I hike twice a week with the dog typically (weather depending), and we usually do two walks every day. I don’t leave my dog on her own due to separation anxiety, if I go anywhere that doesn’t allow dogs she is happy enough hanging in the back of my vehicle or crate home for short term, or I will get daycare for her if it’s longer term. Currently I am able to provide pet care at your home, with possible exceptions for dog care at my own residence depending on the situation. I have no problem giving a pet medication if needed and no problem if you would like the pet crated as well. I am very open to discussing special circumstances if you have a dog that needs specific attention (medication, older, separation issues..) I am currently home full time so I have the ability to schedule my time according to your dogs needs.

I currently have two cats who are very spoiled and live a happy indoor/outdoor life. I try to be active every day and enjoy walking dogs. I am responsible, patient and reliable.
About: I have always had a dog in my life, until recently. I grew up with pets, starting at 4 months old. Love all animals, especially dogs. I assisted in training a service dog (P.A.D.S.) which was a rewarding experience and taught me many things about training dogs, knowing their needs and how to handle them in most situations. When a pet is in my care, it is my number one priority. I've dealt with dogs of all ages; from puppies to seniors. I treat them as if they were my own. I recently took early retirement, so I have plenty of time on my hands. I love to walk and explore, always making your pet my priority. I have a small, fenced (gated) back yard. Your pet can enjoy the outdoors, while under my supervision. They are welcome to make themselves comfortable, inside my home. If you require them to be crated at night, that is also not a problem.

I have house sit for 6 years now, house sitting is like a mini vacation for me. I would love your animals like they were my own. I know a lot of pets have different rule to follow and I respect each and everyone’s rules with house and pets. I am a huge pet love and also work for the Greater Vancouver Zoo for 3 years now. I am currently working for pet smart as well part time. I work as an aesthetician part time which makes my work hours some what flexible. I love walking outside and hanging out with the all animals.
