About: Loved animals from early on. Patience and care with them while owners are away is something I can provide. Will treat them like family. Happy to help the animals. I work part time only a few hours a day, so I will help the animals with the rest of my free time. I will be able to take dogs for walkswith my dogs, or alone if necessary. We could tell just by the types of questions they were asking that they wanted to ensure Jacob had a very comfortable and fun stay. Their property was beautiful and would allow for Jacob to have ample space to exercise, play, or rest. They were very nice people and also wanted to ensure Jacob was a good fit for their home and family. During Jacobs stay we received lots of photos and feedback showing Jacob was well taken care of and very happy. About: I've spent years caring for dogs through fostering, and pet-sitting for friends, family, and neighbours. I have experience with dogs of various sizes, breeds, personalities, and support needs, including senior dogs and those with disabilities. My partner and I also recently cared for a diabetic cat over several months, giving us experience following medication schedules and providing attentive care for pets with specific health requirements. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with family dogs and have continued caring for pets throughout adulthood. About: I’m a Chilean living in Canada and a lifelong animal lover, especially dogs and cats. I’ve always had pets, but for the past four years since moving here, I haven’t had the chance to share my life with one. I truly miss spending time with furry friends, although most of the time I visit two dogs that my friends kindly let me walk and spend time with. I’m usually available five days a week after 2:30 p.m., and on my two days off I’m free the whole day — but I’m flexible and happy to adjust if needed. I prefer to care for pets in their own homes, as the place I’m renting doesn’t allow me to have animals. This way, they also feel more comfortable and happy in their familiar space.

My own dog is super gentle and friendly, making my home a calm, welcoming environment. My dog and I go on several leashed walks per day varying in length of time and dependent on weather; usually first thing in the morning, at around lunch time, after 4 and in the early evening. I required last minute assistance with my very senior dog Ashton and was relieved when Carissa was available to keep my old man overnight so I could enjoy my Daughters wedding. Due to a hectic schedule I needed help dropping him off and of course was late picking him up. When I arrived I found my dog relaxed and could tell he was comfortable. She was understanding of my time restraints and very pleasant to deal with. I met her big teddy bear of a pup who I could see was a gentle giant compared to my frail 16 yo poodle X. About: I was in Pony Club, so I have experience in and around barns and all the residents who might live in one. I currently own and operate an animal sanctuary, where we have had goats, chickens, sheep, pigs and cows. I have always had dogs and cats. I deeply love animals and feel very strong connections. I am able to work my schedule around walks or check ins. I work downtown in Oliver and can make arrangements to ensure I can provide quality care and attention.
