About: I have had a dog in my life since I was 6 years old, that is 57 years of knowing the joy of dogs. I've raised them from puppies, rescued them from the street, cared for them in their old age and through sickness. I have held them all as they have left this world, and gazed into their eyes as they took their last breath so they knew I was there and to not be afraid. I have always considered them my family and treated them as such. I am the person that sits with the dog at house parties. I know that dogs feel safe in my presence as they have the gift of sensing who is a kind human being. I am excited about walking and running with the young dogs, and excited to sit and cuddle with the old. They are welcome in my home, on my couch, on the bed. I work from home, part time, and will always be available for your dog throughout the day and night! They will be welcome to sit beside me in my office on a dog bed, or lounge around anywhere else in my home. My home is very dog friendly. I have two large decks that overlook the forest where they can comfortably lounge in the sun. The can rest in front of my warm gas fireplace on a dog bed in the colder months. “I am a new resident of the Northern Okanagan and prior to relocating when I would have a few days away from home I had family close by who would care for my cats, Norman and Lester. As typical when it is something new - I was excited that I found Debbie, but still a bit anxious at leaving the “boys” for an extended number of days. Well, I had nothing at all to worry about and I knew everything would be great when I met with the sitter and the cats came right over for hellos and pets. The daily snaps of both cats - looking at her as though they were looking at me - and being outside - which - thank you so much - was over and beyond what I had asked for and expected. I’ve been home an hour and both cats don’t care - they’ve had their attention needs taken care of by Debbie and I guess I’ll be the favourite again once the food dish is empty! About: I am a pet owner and I foster for a rescue local to the Shuswap area. I specialize in large breed dogs however I love all animals regardless of breed or size. Being local to the Shuswap I know where a lot of our local walking trails are and different neighborhood routes are and can walk according to what your fur baby needs. I work full time in the community and very close to my house, so even when I am not home I am able to run home and let the dogs out for potty breaks or other needs. Because I am a foster for our local animal rescue if an animal is to come into our home I need to guarantee that they are up to date on vaccinations and fixed. All dogs are different and I can show them a comfortable attitude while providing some healthy exercise.
