Can I choose which clients I accept on Rover?
You always get to choose which clients you want to book on Rover. When you get a request, you have the ability to respond to let the pet parent know either way. Many groomers message with the pet parent to determine if their experience matches the pet's grooming needs.
How do I get paid for grooming appointments?
Rover collects payment and deposits earnings into your account once the appointment is complete. When you set up your grooming profile, you'll have the ability to link your account to get direct deposits from our third-party payment processor, Stripe.
What if I'm no longer able to offer grooming services on Rover?
You can choose when and how often you accept clients on Rover. You can set your grooming profile as inactive or away, or if you don't want to offer your services on Rover, you can deactivate your profile at any time.
How much does it cost?
There is no cost to sign up to list pet grooming on Rover. Rover has a service fee, which is applied to your client's total when they book. This fee goes toward marketing to pet parents to help you continually acquire new clients, site and app maintenance, payment processing, 24/7 Rover Support for you and your clients, and much more to support your business.
What do I need to do to sign up?
You'll be asked for basic information related to your grooming business to help you set up a profile. This includes your grooming experience and any credentials, grooming photos, what you want to charge, what grooming services you want to offer, and more information about you as a groomer. There is no cost to sign up.
What are the requirements to list grooming on Rover?
Groomers are required to have 6+ months of experience, and bathers are required to have 3+ months experience. Additionally, all groomers and bathers must pass a safety quiz, pass a background check, have access to grooming and bathing equipment, as well as complete profile information such as providing photos and describing your grooming experience.
I have a grooming business with employees, can I list my business on Rover?
No, the grooming service on Rover is for independent groomers offering services in their home or in the client's home. Groomers from a business may sign up as individuals, but putting business information on their profile or conducting grooms at a salon is not permitted.
How long does approval take?
Once you submit your profile for review, approval usually happens within a few days. You'll hear from the Rover team when this happens.
Can I still be a sitter on Rover?
Yes. You'll be able to manage your grooming services alongside your pet sitting services in the Rover app.
Do I need to be an approved sitter to offer grooming?
No, you are not required to be an approved or active sitter to offer grooming.
