About: I’ve had dogs in my house for over 10 years, as well as cats. I’m a big animal person and I also have experience on farms and with horses. I have a fairly flexible work schedule depending on the week, and I am available all evenings and most mornings, as well as on weekends. I treat all pets as if they were my own and respect clients' requests and needs for their pets. If I’m unsure of a situation I’d much rather ask the owner than assume! I also am happy to send daily updates and photos of your pets throughout my stay.

About: I have had the pleasure of having dogs of all ages a part of my family. As a teen, I took part in training my family’s two golden doodles at the ages. Recently I welcomed my first dog of my own to the family this past fall. My now 6 month old golden retriever is developing to an obedient, playful and energetic teenager. I hope you give me the please of providing the same care to your babies! I do live a busy lifestyle, and currently am working rotational shift work. Unfortunately that means I’m not the best fit for a typical Monday-Friday. However I have the advantage of several consecutive days away from work in a row. If you have any specific dates you’re looking for a sitter, dog walking, or playdates with my golden please do not hesitate to reach out. I have a big (non-fenced in) back yard, and located next to walking trails through Wolfville. Our dog is crate trained in our home, and if you would like the same for yours, we can make that happen.

About: I’ve had family dogs since I was a young kid and had some of the responsibilities of feeding and walking them, I got my first own dog when I was 16, an all black pure breed German Shepard, who’s my entire world. I had him since the moment he was born as my father breeds German shepards. I took care of my dog (Zeus) since the moment he was able to not be in the care of his mother. Ever since then I’ve always walked and taken him on adventures, trails, running around in fields, playing with him as well around the house and even outside. I love just being able to spend time with any pets has I enjoy the company and companionship from pets. Im available for boarding on weekends and weeknights, opening to walking and dropping in throughout the day at anytime, will make it work around my school schedule I have trails and places I can walk your dog too to run around n play with for great exercise. My house is a small basement apartment and will have my attention at all times while inside the home

“I am happy to recommend Carlene as a house and pet sitter. We were away for 10 days in February, and living in rural Prince Edward Island, our winters can be rough with blizzards and, on occasion, days-long power outages. Carlene’s calm manner and background as a wilderness guide made me feel completely confident that she could deal with anything should it arise. We left her with two dogs and two cats. One of the dogs, Ruthie, was recovering from a health problem and required medication and a special diet. Ruthie loves her food and especially the food of the other dog, who is a picky eater, so Carlene had to manage that situation. The dogs are both young and active and Carlene took them on daily hikes. Judging by photos of them curled up cuddling on either side of Carlene, they were kept tired and happy. As an unexpected bonus, we arrived home to a sparkling clean house, with thriving plants, a freshly made bed, a note detailing their adventures, and even a delicious soup ready for our dinner. Carlene is a lovely and interesting person with an obvious love of animals and nature. I always find it nerve-wracking to plan our animals’ care when we go away and am so glad to have found her. I would not hesitate to ask Carlene to house and petsit another time, knowing that I could enjoy myself without worry.”

“I have known Alexandra for years and was drawn to her as a fellow "cat person". I knew she had four cats who were loved beyond words - just one peek at any of her social medias shows what a pet person she truly is. Her beloved kitties, her hamsters (and her resting hamster Taquito, who she honored with a beautiful tattoo) would all vouch for her and her big, loving heart. She was the first person I introduced my new puppy to, and one of the few I would trust to watch her and care for her, as she is kind and gentle, soft and fair, and indecibly knowledgable and smart. Not only is she in tune with animals enough to be able to determine their individual NEEDS, but also able to determine what kind of love they need from a human. Whether it's my 23 year old kitty who needed soft pets and quiet time from her, or my 3 year old kitty who could play all day and get some rough belly scratches, she knows how to communicate and figure that out without being told. I would trust Alexandra with my fur children and not even break a sweat worrying about them. If she's caring for them, they are in the best hands. I can't think of a better opportunity for a person like her!”
