About: I work full-time (9–5, Monday–Friday), but I’m up around 7 a.m. every day to walk my own pup before work, and he gets another walk as soon as I get home. We usually head out one last time around 8–9 p.m. to make sure there are no overnight accidents. On weekends, I’m always up for park adventures, long hikes, or just spending a cozy day at home. If you’re looking for dog walking rather than boarding, I’m available before and after work every weekday! I’ve been caring for dogs for over 5 years, from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs. During my years in Victoria, I built a bit of a reputation for being especially good with senior dogs and pets with extra care needs. I’m experienced giving oral medications, administering insulin injections, and following detailed medication schedules. I also have extensive experience with reactive, anxious, and rescue dogs. Because of that, I often recommend house sitting for dogs who are most comfortable in their own environment, where they can stick to their normal routine and experience less stress. I’ve had cats my entire life and have cared for many with medical and special needs as well, including administering medications and providing extra support for senior cats. I pride myself on picking up on an animal’s personality and preferences quickly. Whether your pet loves long walks, quiet companionship, lots of playtime, or simply keeping their routine exactly the same, I’ll tailor my care to what makes them happiest. Your pet’s safety is my highest priority. I’m calm under pressure and have successfully handled emergencies, including helping a dog who was choking until they could breathe again. I also believe you should never have to wonder how your pet is doing, so I send plenty of photo and video updates throughout every stay or visit. My goal is simple: to make your pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while giving you complete peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands. ❤️ I work full time (9-5, Mon-Fri) but am up to walk my own pup around 7am, and walk him as soon as I get in the door from work. I usually also walk him around 8/9pm to make sure there are no overnight accidents. On the weekends I am free to go for park adventures, long hikes, or just spend a lazy day in! If you are not looking for boarding, but rather someone to walk your dog - I can come before or after work any day! I pride myself in being able to pick up on an animal’s preferences & needs as quickly as possible. I know that every dog has a different story, and requires different things to keep them happy. Whether it be cuddling for hours after work, needing their own space, sleeping in my bed, sleeping in their own, more frequent walks, etc. I will do whatever it is that your pup needs to be happy with me ❤️
“We had to cancel our trip and Hannah was understanding. In our dealings with her to date, she has been reliable and she is responsive and communicates well. We hope to book her again soon!”

About: "I have years of experience caring for pets of all ages and breeds, from playful puppies to senior pets needing extra TLC. My calm and nurturing approach helps pets feel comfortable and safe, making me more than just a sitter—I’m a trusted companion for your furry family members. I am a golf professional so between November and April, I have more time to myself and work sparingly. Pet sitting is perfect for me and for you and your pet(s)! We have an animal friendly home that is a stones throw away from a park with plenty of space for your pet to run and roam. There is a sizable sofa, a chair, bed all for them, too. Wooden floors so any messes aren't as troublesome as it would be on carpet.
“Megan was so great with my two cats. It was obvious that they loved spending time with her. Megan sent me pictures everyday and was excellent in her communication. I have already booked her again.”

“Kaylee was absolutely wonderful! She looked after my two cats for about two weeks over Christmas, and she was so kind to them (and to me!) She shared photos with me every day, and when I got home they were so cuddly and well-cared for. I will definitely book with Kaylee again, if needed!”

“Brianna is a lovely lady and Cooper certainly loved the belly rubs and company!! I am already booking another appointment soon as the Olympic Qualifiers are on and only happen every 4 years! I loved that she took pics and sent them to me! That's what my kennel does also!”
About: Very comfortable with medication administration and any special needs your dog or puppy may need. Nurse by profession with a great love for all animals. I’m available from 5pm Friday until Monday morning 8am full care. If you have other needs through the week please message to discuss - here to help in any way with your pet care needs. My golden retriever Wilson both has free rein of the home and comfortable in his kennel. I would prefer kennel trained but if well mannered - fine to have free in the house.
About: I grew up with both dogs and cats and have cared for animals throughout my life. I bring 15+ years of hands-on animal-care experience, including working in two veterinary clinics and teaching canine and equine first aid. I provide reliable, attentive and compassionate care and am happy to follow each pet's individual routine and needs. I have a flexible schedule and am generally available Sunday to Saturday with daytime availability for drop-in visits, dog walks and pet care. I am also open to occasional weekend and overnight bookings with advance notice. I enjoy staying active and spend time caring for my own animals, including my horses and cats. I can work with individual pet routines and am happy to provide regular updates to owners while they are away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to understand each pet's routine, personality and individual needs, and I carefully follow owner instructions for feeding, exercise, medications and other care. My experience working in two veterinary clinics, along with my Canine and Equine First Aid Instructor training, gives me confidence recognizing changes in an animal's health or behaviour and responding appropriately if a concern arises. Whether caring for pets in their own home or providing visits, I aim to keep their environment calm, familiar and stress-free. I will also keep owners updated so they can have peace of mind while they are away.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Kentville
Hayley and Lucy are amazing! They are friendly, responsible, and very accommodating. They took care of my baby cats exactly as I asked and went above and beyond. They left very detailed care notes and sent lots of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind! My cats also got along really well with them. I would definitely recommend them and will absolutely book with them again!

Hayley and Lucy were absolutely fabulous! Took such good care of my cat while I was away and administered his medication with some cuddles and toys! I felt very comfortable having them check on him and they were extremely communicative and friendly. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you!!!!

Emma was absolutely fantastic! Both my cats are very timid of new people but came a liking to Emma quite fast! My one cat also doesn’t normally play and she got him to play which i was very pleased with. Came over twice for quick visits and I came back knowing my cats were well taking care of. Would recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
