Will use again and 100% recommend”

“Having a business function 5 hours from home and needing to find suitable care for our needy French Bulldog was potentially stressful. So glad we found Cathryn and her wonderfully calming approach. She (and her husband) were super accommodating, communicative, helpful, reassuring. Instantly connecting with Merlin when we dropped him off, and sending photos and messages throughout the evening to reassure. When we are in Staffs again and need repeat care, we will be 100% returning to Cathryn. Highly recommended!!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for and looking after dogs of all different breeds, sizes and personalities. Over the years, I have gained a great understanding of the responsibility, patience and dedication that comes with caring for dogs and making sure they are happy, healthy and well looked after. At one point, I owned 4 dogs which taught me how to manage different needs, personalities and routines while making sure each dog received plenty of individual attention and care. I have also experienced the very special responsibility of having a female dog give birth to a litter of six puppies. One particularly memorable experience of this was when one of the puppies stopped breathing and I had to act quickly and provide mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to help save its life. Thankfully, the puppy survived, he was a 12 year old toy poodle, still with us living with my mum. This experience showed me just how important it is to remain calm, attentive and prepared when caring for animals. My 10 years of experience have given me a genuine passion for dogs and a strong understanding of how much care, attention and love they need. I take pride in treating every dog as an individual and making sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for while in my responsibility. I have also been actively training my dog I own with the help of my friend who is a behaviorist. My dog once had issues with resource guarding and lead pulling, both of which is now under control. I’m available to provide your dog with plenty of care, attention and company throughout the day. I’m happy to work around your dog’s normal routine, including their usual feeding, walking, play and rest times. I understand that keeping a familiar routine can help dogs settle, especially when they are staying away from home. I’ll make sure they receive lots of attention and regular care while you’re away. I have a spacious, secure garden and a comfortable home where dogs can relax and feel at ease. I have a friendly 16-month-old Cockapoo who is used to being around other dogs. I always take each dog’s individual personality and preferences into consideration, and introductions can be done gradually and carefully. If your dog prefers their own space, I can also provide separate areas and make sure they have a calm environment where they can settle comfortably.
“Dina was a fantastic host for Betty our Border Terrier. She and Dina’s dog Daisy got on so well. Betty was obviously very happy in their home. Drop off and pick up were convenient and easy. We would definitely use Dina again”

“Hayley was an absolute star looking after our Freddie! She was easily contactable & flexible when making arrangements. Freddie loved his stay & was suitably tired when we picked him up!”

I am confident caring for dogs of different ages and personalities, and I always provide a safe, loving and comfortable environment where pets can feel at home. I understand how important pets are to their owners and I treat every dog with the same care and attention I give to my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a very flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home, which allows me to provide plenty of supervision, attention and companionship throughout the day. I can easily adapt to your pet’s routine, including feeding times, walks, playtime and any special requirements they may have. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. I provide a very clean, safe and loving home environment where pets are treated like family. My home is located in a quiet and secure neighbourhood, and the garden is fully fenced, allowing for safe outdoor time under supervision. “Fantastic, thank you we felt very relaxed with all the updates you sent of how the boys were doing. We know that the boys can be a handful, especially Dilly as he never stops playing ball and they both want attention all the time. Such a friendly, welcoming and relaxed house hold where nothing was too much trouble to help ensure the boys had a great stay. They can’t wait to stop again!!!”

“Venetia and Chris are fantastic. They made cody feel right at home and took exceptional care of him. They provided regular updates and pictures which helped put my mind at ease. I have no hesitation in recommending Ventia and Chris to look after anyones dog. Thanks guys.”

“Fantastic sitter, helped out on very short notice and sent photos and message updates regularly about how Lily was. Plenty of walks and well looked after. Would happily send Lily again.”

“We left our nearly 14 year old Jack Russell with Marlon and Jaine for a few days whilst we were on a trip. She’s pretty deaf and showing signs of her age, also a bit nervous and just becoming a bit of a grumpy old woman really. She absolutely loved her stay and didn’t want to come home at the end of it. She was so well looked after and we loved getting the regular updates and pictures of how she was getting on. Can’t thank Marlon and Jaine enough and we will definitely be using them again in the future. Very highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks so much.”

“Ka Yua visited beforehand to meet the dogs. He clearly cares for dogs and was keen to understand what was particular about ours. Ka Yua arrived early, spent a long time playing with the dogs in the garden and sent us plenty of pics & videos of happy, calm dogs. A great help Ka Yua, thanks!”

“So pleased to have had Lexi looking after our cats. She was knowledgeable, understanding about their differing and complex needs, organised and accommodating. One of our cats had started some new treatment after we booked, but Lexi was totally unphased by this and knew exactly what to do. It was such a relief to have her looking after them we could go away without worrying. We will definitely book Lexi to look after them again. Fabulous service, thank you.”

“As usual Rachael has been amazing! She goes above and beyond in taking care of my cat Pepper, you can really tell that she loves animals and that she is a lovely person xx”

About: From the moment I got my Dobermann, Mila, in December 2021, I was completely hooked on dogs. Their unique personalities, their boundless energy, and their unconditional love quickly turned me from a dog lover to dog obsessed! When Mila sadly and unexpectedly passed in 2024, I knew I needed to honour her by dedicating more of my life to dogs - especially those still waiting to feel the love she gave me. That’s when I began volunteering at Just for Dogs, a local rescue. For the past year, I’ve spent every Saturday and Sunday walking rescue dogs, giving them much needed human interaction, and helping them build confidence. Even more rewarding has been opening my home to foster some of these dogs - providing them with a safe, loving space where they can adjust to home life and prepare for their forever families. From nervous to confident, tiny to huge, cuddle bugs to playful adventurers, it’s been an honour to play a small role in their journey to happiness. With this experience, I feel confident in offering the very best care for your dog - tailored to their unique needs and personality. Whether it’s long walks, sofa cuddles, playtime, or simply being a calm companion, I’ll make sure your pup feels safe, happy, and loved. I work full-time Monday to Friday, but my flexible hours and ability to work from home mean I can easily fit pet care into my daily routine. This allows me to provide dog walks, drop-in visits, or companionship throughout the day, as well as plenty of attention before and after work hours. I prioritise safety, trust, and a calm environment in every pet care situation. In my home, I ensure dogs have a secure, comfortable space with access to water, toys, and a quiet area to rest. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow the owner’s routines and instructions closely, maintaining a familiar environment and minimising stress for the dog. My goal is always to create a loving, predictable, and safe experience tailored to each pet’s needs.
“Clare is absolutely lovely and took such great care of my cat, Ted. Ted had a great time hanging out with her and was very happy and content. Clare left the house absolutely spotless and had also gone to the trouble of getting me a lovely gift when I got home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Clare for house sitting :)”

The longest standing of them all was my Cat who made it to 21, I cared for him a lot towards the end of his life so now i have a pet friendly house but no pet of my own... for now. “Thank you so much for looking after my fur babies so well. Would definitely recommend Antonia, she was so attentive and I feel went over and above to ensure my cats were happy whilst I was away. Loved all the updates and photos, really gave me assurance that they were being well looked after.”

“Charley was amazing and really went above and beyond. My cat is usually cautious with strangers, but Charley was able to gain her trust from the very first visit. She sent me updates and photos every day, so I always knew everything was fine and my cat was in good hands while I was away for two weeks. She also left the house clean and tidy. I will definitely book Charley again and would highly recommend her.”

“It's always an absolute joy having Danielle look after our cat, Maddie. She is calm, diligent, trustworthy and keeps me up to date on progress.... this was especially important this time as Maddie had been seriously ill prior to our going away. Whilst she was 100% recovered, if it hadn't been Danielle taking care of her, we wouldn't have entertained going.”

However in your home I promise to leave it clean and tidy and make sure your pet gets all the attention and walks or pets they need!

“Paul was very quick to reply to my request and also to any further communication from us. We were in a rush so we gave Paul some instructions which he followed brilliantly. We knew what time Paul arrived, left and received loads of photos of Daisy and Oscar which we really appreciated as anxious cat parents lol. Our cats loved Paul and we definitely recommend him and will definitely use his services again. 🙂”

“Cassie is absolutely amazing! She took the best care of my cat Molly while I was away, and I couldn't have asked for more. She was also very flexible which made the whole experience stress-free for me. I would highly recommend Cassie to anyone in need of a pet sitter. I feel so lucky to have found her and I know I'll be using her services again in the future.”

“Steve was a brilliant Dogsitter. Extremely helpful and flexible and so gentle with my dog who can be nervous to stay with. Very responsive communication. Sent lots of photos throughout the day so we knew she was in safe hands. She was very well looked after. Highly recommend!”

“Lorena was friendly from start to finish. She was able to help initially shy Nala to settle within minutes. Lorena has a dog herself, which helped Nala to settle in well, as she loves being surrounded by other dogs. Nala was excited and happy after a stay at Lorena’s, and I would definitely not hesitate to leave my beloved dog in Lorena's careagain, as Nala returned home happy and settled. Such a great place to leave a dog if you're planning to visit Alton Towers during a stay in the Peak District.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Jenny! From the moment her and her son met my dog River, I knew she’d be in good hands. River can be a little shy with new people, but Jenny’s calm, caring energy immediately put her at ease. I received regular updates, adorable photos, and little notes that showed just how much love and attention River was getting. When I picked River up, she was relaxed, happy, and clearly well taken care of. 10/10 would recommend Jenny to anyone who wants peace of mind and a happy pup!”

“Emma was the perfect fit for Luna. Luna's had an absolutely wonderful time today and was immediately very settled. She even ate properly for the first time during our holiday! Luna had a super time exploring the woods and was very relaxed and happy when we collected her. Thank you Emma for looking after Luna so well and we would all definitely love you to look after her again next time we're back in the area.”

“Highly recommend Phoebe. This was my first time leaving Toby in somebody else's hands so I was abit nervous at first, but she updated me along the way as he spent the full day with her and her 2 pooches. Really lovely and down to earth aswell, will definitely be booking again in the future, no complaints whatsoever - thank you so much!”

“1st Time using the Rover app for our 6 month old Labrador puppy, decided we would book on with someone who had there own dogs and lots of 5 star reviews. After researching other reviews we picked Charlotte for a couple of reasons she had her own Labrador's and every review was positive. Dropped her off at 9.15 and immediately felt comfortable we had made the correct choice, she was excited to be there and off they went like they were best friends. Charlotte updated us during the day saying she was fine and how well mannered she was with her dogs. Picked her up a 5.30, she came home tired which in my eyes means she had a good day. Would highly recommend Charlotte and be confident your dog will be well looked after in her hands.”

“I was a bit nervous about leaving my wee dog with a sitter, he has a few anxiety/behaviour issues you’d expect a rescue dog, but on meeting Vicky I immediately felt at ease. Vicky was very professional and understanding, and my dog seemed to take to her immediately. We got messages and photos during his stay, and we felt very comfortable.”

“I have only positive views to share about Charlotte: such a friendly and positive person. She came back to my last minute plea for help very quickly and was super efficient on communication, which made my life as a first time pet owner, so much easier. Beni, loved his stay with Charlotte (I can say), the bond was there instantly. I collected a very chilled, happy and relaxed pup. Thank you so much for helping me out with Beni, I am sure Beni would give his two paws up for his pleasant stay and would he need to come back 🥰🐾”

I would love so much to care for other people pets knowing that they are completely safe with me. I currently work part-time at Go Ape. I mainly work on Weekends and School Holidays however my hours are very flexible. I love the outdoors so I often spend my free time taking walks and hikes. I currently have no pets of my own. My house is entirely pet friendly however it is on the third floor and is a medium sized 1 bedroom flat. There is no garden however I live 5 minutes from many fields and parks.

About: I've taken care of cats and dogs since I was 10 years old. My friends and family rely on me to look after theirs when they go on holiday. I love spending time with them and look after the stray cats in my neighborhood. I'm currently working part time. I will have plenty of time to look after and play with your pets. I can do the occasional weekends when I don't have plans. I have a fenced garden where my cats feel safe. I however won't be able to look after your cats in my home due to me having my own

“Charlie is absolutely lovely to work with. She's punctual, approachable, and Harris took to her straight away which is rare as Harris usually cautious with new people. We are so happy to have found Charlie and are excited for many more walks as well as potential house sitting in the future. Highly recommend her!”

“What a delight meeting Claire… an absolutely lovely lady who made an immediate connection with our 14 month old Labrador, Bertie. Just a 1 hour walking session booked this time following shady paths through our village and in our garden due to very hot conditions but it was clear that Bertie was in very safe hands. Thank you so much Claire!”

About: My love for dogs started where my family kept our family horses, there were 3 dogs (beagle, springer & Romanian rescue) so I spent lots of time with the dogs. In 2021 I began a role as a Theatre Technician for a Veterinary referral hospital where I primarily looked after sterile services for the hospital but around this, I assisted the nurses and surgeons in caring for dogs in other areas of the practice of all sizes up to Great Danes and Bernese Mountains dogs! Since, I have done 21 sits through Trusted House Sitters, of which, 12 were dog sits. I am happy to share my 5 star reviews from these. I have sat for a range of dog breeds such as Poodles, Chihuahuas, Chow Chow, Husky, Dalmation, Pomeranian, Corgi, Greyhounds and more! Through house sitting I have looked after dogs with special requirements such as post spinal surgery. I have completed my pet first aid course. I currently available for care Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays anytime during the day/ evening and over night. Midweek I am available from 5pm onwards but I am willing to consider care outside of these times if I have prior warning. Holiday rate (Double Rate) applies for overnight sits going into and on the night of Bank Holidays & between the 22 December - 4th January. Rover does not let you specify dates for holiday rates, please note I will manually change the rate to reflect bank holiday rates upon booking request. I will often come to house sit with my husband who: - Has had cats his whole life too - Looks after his mums Bengal cat when she is away so is used to raw feed routines and unique species of cats. - Helped to care for Cassie’s FIV cat Rambo. - Owns 2 domestic long hair cats with me now - Has owned hamsters so is used to smaller animals and their needs - Tom I had hugely helped Cassie caring for her parents two horses over the years so is horse aware . Tom is happy to meet pet parents before a sit too. Please let me know if Tom coming with me to a sit will be an issue before booking / commencement of the sit. I have done various care routines for these house sits so I am comfortable with raw or specialist feeding routines; walks up to 3 dogs at a time, crating, commands/ instructions and care of any injuries as well as administering medication. “Paul was fantastic with Magnus -- who can be a challenging dog. He arranged a visit before so he could meet Magnus and my dog immediately seemed comfortable with him. He walked him in the local area, handled his reactivity well, and even kept Magnus happy despite the rain. I would recommend to anyone else with a pet who has special requirements! Thank you!”

“Dougie went very well with Calli, Richard, Kiki and Rupert on the trial we've had last night and we are very pleased. We've had updates and video with Dougie settling in as new boarding place for him. We have booked another week in February and looking forward for our friend to spend more time there when we are away. Thank you so much for everything.”

“Vicky was great! She kept us regularly updated and sent us lots of photos, and communication was excellent throughout. She also came to our home beforehand to meet our dog and spend some time with her, which we really appreciated. Our dog clearly had a lovely time with Vicky, was happy and ate really well during her stay. We felt completely at ease knowing she was being well looked after. We would definitely use Vicky again and highly recommend her! ❤️”

“My boys loved there break with Megan , both were well looked after, one pup got hurt day before , and she did not have any problems going that extra mile to look after him . Would highly recommend”

“Charlotte and Dan took such great care of my very energetic dog Pickle. She clearly thrived in their care and felt right at home in their cosy space. Thank you Charlotte and Dan, we will be sure to use you again in the future.”

“Our pup Alfie had a great time on his holiday. Louise was absolutely brilliant, keeping us up to date with pictures throughout the weekend. Alfie went on great walks and had so much fun playing with their beautiful, best natured girl, Luna. We highly recommend Louise and we’ll defo be booking with her again. Thank you so much for everything both. Alfie was a happy pup.”

“Loki has had an amazing holiday with Jas. Very friendly sitter. Plenty of updates throughout our holiday. Was definitely a home from home stay. Loki was very happy from the moment he arrived. Definitely will use Jas again for my baby. Thanks again Jas from one very happy doggy owner.”
