“Carrie and James were perfect! They could not have been more lovely and hospitable, Hamish loved them and their beautiful home. From the first meeting Hamish was very relaxed and I had no worries about leaving him in Carrie’s care. We had photo updates which showed Hamish having a great time. We would recommend Carrie and James to anyone/dog wanting a relaxed, safe home environment to stay. Thank you 😊”

About: Hi there! I'm a genuine dog lover who believes every walk should be fun, safe, and tailored to your dog's personality. Whether your pup loves long adventures, endless sniffing opportunities, or a gentle stroll, I'll make sure they get the exercise, attention, and affection they deserve. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I currently have three of my own—two that I've raised from puppies and are now 6 years old. I also have a wonderful rescue from a puppy farm, who I took on three years ago when she needed lots of care, patience, and encouragement. She's now a happy and thriving 12-year-old lady, and the experience has taught me so much about understanding dogs of all ages, backgrounds, and temperaments. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your dog, so I'll treat your furry friend as if they were one of my own, keeping you updated with photos and messages along the way. 🐶❤️ I am retired and am passionate about my dogs making sure they have at least one beach walk a day whatever the weather! If the weather is hot I get up at 4.30 ish so I can walk them in the relative cool. Second walks tend to be woodland with rivers as they do like to swim! I have a fenced garden and three friendly cocker spaniels to keep any visitors company. I go out with the dogs in the garden to keep them company.

About: I’m a friendly, reliable, and easy-going person who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. Having grown up with dogs, I’ve always been comfortable caring for them. Although I no longer have a dog of my own, I regularly look after dogs for family and friends, including puppies, senior dogs, and those with behavioural needs that require extra patience and care. I’m trusted to walk, feed, and provide overnight boarding for dogs, often for several days at a time. I have also spent time volunteering at Cardiff Dog's home and have walked many different breeds. I've recently retired so would like to use some of my time looking after dogs. I am generally free most days, however a booking would need to be confirmed in advance. I have a large, secure garden and I'm located close to the beach as well as having plenty of countryside nearby for long walks. I have owned and looked after numerous types of dogs so I am happy to match their energy and to cater for their individual needs.
About: I’ve grown up around animals and love having them around. I have experience with a variety of different breeds and due to the flexible nature of my work, I can cater for all of your pet care needs I work freelance so my schedule is entirely flexible so I’m happy to keep your pet company whilst you are out either in your home or mine. “Kelly is a first rate dog sitter and a lovely, friendly person. She welcomed Monty into her home straight away and talked to him, putting him at ease. She and her partner, Rhys treated him like part of their family and Kelly kept us posted with regular updates and photographs. We will have no hesitation in using Kelly again and would 100% recommend her to others. Thanks so much for taking such great care of Monty, Kelly and apologies for any slobber he left behind!!”

“Nicholas was very accommodating. He picked up my cat and dropped him off and I booked quite late notice. He always replied quickly to my messages and sent lots of photos and videos of my cat when I was missing him. Overall very positive experience!”

“It’s the first time we’ve left our 2 dogs with a home boarder , very apprehensive as 2 spaniels can be a handful. Ian was very welcoming, asked us lots of questions about our dogs likes, dislikes and routine . They had a 2 night stay , seemed really happy and content when we collected them . Would use Ian again and highly recommend him . Thankyou for looking after Obi and Jango .”

“Quite a last minute booking with Ffion and she was absolutely brilliant with Bear, he clearly had a very relaxing day which is exactly what we hoped for! Great communication and updates throughout, and really appreciated that she made accommodations for our reactive rescue so there were no other dogs around for the day. Wouldn't hesitate to book with Ffion again next time we're in Wales. Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my whole life, alongside farm animals such as chickens, sheep, and horses. We adopted my black lab, Tarn, when she was only a few weeks old in 2023 and she lives back home, as I am currently away for my university studies. I also have a british shorthair cat, Teri, she has been in the family for about 6 years and she is the absolute sweetest. Teri had an accident a couple years back and lost one of her back legs, which means I took close care of her for the months following (general post-surgery care) and she has recovered very well. When back home from University, I take my dog for regular walks and take care of her throughout the day while my family is at work 9-5. She enjoys long walks (mainly running) in the woods near our house, which i find very peaceful and rewarding knowing she is getting enough exercise. I have just completed my first year at University and i’m looking for an occasional job taking care of your pets, throughout the summer months. I’m very enthusiastic to use this platform to continue my housesitting/petsitting interest, as i find it rewarding and fun, alongside also being dependable and giving consistent updates on your pets activities! I will keep a close eye on your pet at all times and make sure they’re getting all the attention they need. I’m happy to keep the schedules you’ve created with your pets, taking them on regular walks and making sure meal times are whenever they’re used to. I’m enthusiastic about taking care of your cat(s) just as much as i am about dogs, I’ve taken care of many cats and i can give them lots of attention or give them the space they need. Throughout my life, i’ve gotten to know that every cat has their own personality and I hope to get to know yours!

“Hannah seems to have magic energy. Our Bella loved her instantly and settled in much quicker than with other people usually. Hannah sent photos and videos of their day together, showing a very happy dog. Wouldn't hesitate a second to book daycare with her again.”

“Perfect!! 😍 I was quite apprehensive about leaving our very bouncy Boxer with someone he didn’t know - he spends all day every day with me and likes to know where I am! Carrie was welcoming, kind and very reassuring, making the whole process easy. Her communications were helpful and excellent - pointing out a local beach we could walk him beforehand. When I returned that afternoon, Dylan was calm, contented, and by all accounts had had a lovely day with her. I would unreservedly recommend Carrie, and book with her again. Also the service from Rover was simple, easy, and reasonably priced. Well done!”

“Sarah was very kind and understanding with Izzie who is pretty nervous. Sarah made Izzie welcome and I felt that Izzie was safe and well cared for . Izzie stayed at Sarah's house for 5 hours , allowing us to spend some dog free time to explore Wales . I would recommend Sarah for doggie day care .”

About: I recently moved to Aberystwyth so had my profile on hold for a few months. I am now looking for clients in the area. I worked for lots of different animal welfare orgs as an animal carer for many years both in the UK and in Australia. Over the years I've worked with horses, pigs, sheep, goats, llamas, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles (snake handling) and even fish. I treat each and every individual animal as my new best mate. I have a real connection with (most) animals. I get them and they get me. However, I know it takes time to get to know some pets and you know your animal better than anyone. I am trustworthy, kind and respectful of your home and the rules and routines you have in place for your pet and I am dependable and loyal (just like a dog lol). Thanks :) Carla xx I work from home so I just need wifi. I love being with the dogs and making sure they are happy and healthy and I try to be their surrogate mum :) I only do house sitting in other's homes. I don't currently have ability to care for your dog in my own home so don't offer that service.
