About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up with them from birth and owning my own for the past 15 years. From the age of 10, I was walking dogs for neighbours and local families, which gave me early hands on experience and a real love of caring for dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities. We have a secure, good sized garden for safe outdoor play and love exploring the beautiful North Devon countryside, beaches and woodland walks. Both my husband and I between us ensure one of us work from home each day of the week, which means dogs in our care have company and supervision for the vast majority of the day. We both work from home, meaning your dog will have company and supervision for the vast majority of the time (around 95%), aside from short periods such as school runs or quick errands. We always prioritise being with any dog in our care, ensuring they feel settled, safe and never left for long periods. If they could not be left we can also work with this! I understand how important it is to feel your pet is safe and happy, whether you’re away on holiday or just need support during the day. If a working day our dogs get 2 - 3 walks a day from 30 minutes to 45 minutes in a range of different settings. We can meet any timetable for feeding required. I have a fenced garden and 2 friendly dogs that will support in keeping your pup entertained and engaged in games (they love tug of war and ball games!) and lots of cuddles and fuss throughout the day. We live in a quiet estate. We also can offer quiet area’s of the house if they need a little downtime to themselves where we can sit with them if required away from our pups.

We’d had a mix up with our normal kennel just 2 days before we were due to go on holiday for a week and she responded to our plea immediately. The dogs loved their time with her, she gave us regular updates and photos and it was clear how much care she took of our two dogs whilst they were with her. Nice long walks, beaches, cuddles they had a blast. She was even kind enough to collect and drop them off, and she shampooed them before returning. Couldn’t have asked for more! Highly recommend! “Hannah looked after Moss overnight and was very focused on his comfort and needs. We received updates and photos showing Moss on walks and settling into his new surroundings, which is always comforting. The location is a quiet rural setting, which Moss prefers and enjoys rural woodland walks, although the potholed track leading to the house needs to be driven with care. When we picked Moss up he was comfortable and happy to be around Hannah and believe he enjoyed his stay with her. We were happy that Moss was well cared for and would consider Hannah again.”

“We were staying in Bude, and while visiting Cornwall wanted to do some activities where dogs are not allowed. At first we found it difficult to search for doggy day care and then we came across Rover and Dale's Doggy Day Care. We were nervous to leave our dog, Wafer with a stranger, in an area we didn't know. Dale was very welcoming and accommodating with drop-off and pick-up times. Our dog is very friendly, however at first seemed a bit nervous to meet Rex, Dayle's dog. Dale took the time to help Wafer settle in and within minutes of us leaving we received pictures of our dog enjoying the place. The second day, Wafer was still a little bit nervous to stay, which didn't help us feel good about leaving him for another day. Dale was quickly on the case to help him settle again and the videos we received showed us how happy Wafer was, once we left. Of course, as always, noone is as happy to see you as your dog! Wafer was happy to be back with us and tired, ready to relax, which was great for us 👍🏼 Wafer's profile picture on Rover is one of the photos we received from Dale ❤️ We would thoroughly recommend Dale's Doggy Day Care and left his details with our campsite!”

About: Hello! My name is Hannah. I have loved dogs since my little Westie Frodo (only the size of a jacket potato!) entered my life when I was 3 years old. Since then, I admire every pup that walks past me. Luckily for me, I work for Brittany Ferries, so I get to sign in all the holiday ready pets! I have been looking after dogs since I was little, my dog Frodo was the light of my life, I wanted to do everything that would make him happy. I was also the first call when friends needed a place for their pet to stay, as they knew I would put all my attention on looking after their pup (I also love taking photos, so they enjoyed recieving updates!). Currently I am regularly looking after a little darling dog named Snowy and also house sitting for friends with two new tiny kittens! Last year I did a Pet First Aid course. I currently work part time (every Sunday and 1 Tuesday a month), and when not working I am making art at home so regular pee breaks remind me to get up and take care of myself too! I live in a large house/land with a few other families. This includes 2 cats, 2 dogs and small children. In the house, which I have a room in and the pet will stay, we have two cats roaming around. One loves cuddles (even from dogs!) and the other is a grump, but if given space he doesn't mind being around a dog. A few steps from the house there is a big field, great to throw a ball and to do a quick morning pee before I have time to make a coffee! Just off of the land, it's a 10 minute walk through fields to the moors! So great walks are awaiting. As for home visits, my goal is to make sure the pet has some quality play/cuddle time and a wee and snack, so they can tire out then nap until you return home!
About: I trained me Sprocker Spaniel who is still a puppy. This involved basic commands and recall. He is well behaved, well socialised and a happy dog :) I run my own business so have good flexibility during the week and at weekends. I won't be out for more than 3 to 4 hours and I can walk, feed and socialise them inbetween. I will be there to look over them most of the day..I may leave for 3 to 4 hours but will make sure they've been walked and fed before so.

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life. My family are all dog crazy. My moms had dogs since I was a child and still does till this day. So I know what it’s like to look after our best four legged friends. Myself and Scott live in a detached 4 bed bungalow in Devon. We have acres of private land where we walk and exercise Rex daily. Rex our beautiful boy fox Rex lab loves dogs and thrives with other four legged friends. He will be 2 in November 2026 and his bring so much joy to our life’s. I am stay home husband whilst my partner Scott runs a big cow dairy. I am home 7 days a week so your dog will get the best care and attention throughout there stay with us. I am experienced with keeping on top of medication if your dog requires and happy to be instructed for what your dog needs to ensure it’s the best and positive experience whilst on holiday with me. I would love to meet and greet your dogs before you book for your reassurance. If they are good on or off lead I will do as the owner requires and requests. About: I began by independently fostering a pregnant cat who I rescued from the streets, providing housing and care throughout her pregnancy and raising her kittens to ensure their health and development. This experience led me to a role at an animal rescue, where I worked for approximately a year caring for rescue cats and dogs, managing all aspects of their care. A key part of this work involved confidence building, to ensure good quality of life. Consistent handling to help the animals feel secure and settle into their new environment. I’m currently working from home so I will be in your dogs/cats company for majority of the day. Typically I do a daily big walk for myself so this is something your dog can potentially join in on. I live in a small studio apartment in the country side with a large garden (not fenced in) lots of land surrounding me, and many nature walks. There are friendly dogs on the property which your dog can befriend depending on your preference for that.
About: I'm a qualified dog walker and pet sitter. I have qualified in level 2 animal care, level 2 vet nursing and level 3 pet first aid. I have grown up with a variety of different types of pets. I have been working with dogs for the last 8 years. I work with your pets during the day and then I have an evening job that is 3 hours and not related to animals. The evening job is near my home, so I will only do it if I'm on local sits. I will put your dogs in a crate or a safe room in the house, if I'm going out to the shops. I make sure outside space is safe for your pet.

About: I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember, growing up with them from birth and owning my own for the past 15 years. From the age of 10, I was walking dogs for neighbours and local families, which gave me early hands on experience and a real love of caring for dogs of all ages, breeds and personalities. I have trained a number of dogs including my own dogs and feel confident supporting a wide range of needs, from energetic puppies who need plenty of stimulation to older dogs who enjoy a gentler pace and extra cuddles. We are a very animal loving family made up of myself, my husband and our daughter, who has grown up around animals and understands how to be kind, gentle and respectful with them. Our home offers a genuine home from home environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. We share our home with Rosie, our 14 year old Collie x Poodle, Daisy, our 1 year old Labrador Retriever and our 16 year old Cat Bella who tends to keep herself to herself. As you'll see from the photos, they are very happy, friendly dogs and a huge part of our family. They both enjoy the company of other dogs and are used to sharing their space. We have a secure, good sized garden for safe outdoor play and love exploring the beautiful North Devon countryside, beaches and woodland walks. Whether your dog enjoys adventures, games or simply relaxing at home, we'll make sure they feel happy, comfortable and well cared for. Both my husband and I between us ensure one of us work from home each day of the week, which means dogs in our care have company and supervision for the vast majority of the day. Aside from short school runs or quick errands, someone is usually at home. If your dog is unable to be left alone, please get in touch as we can often accommodate this too. We always prioritise being with any dog in our care, ensuring they feel settled, safe and never left for long periods. If they could not be left we can also work with this! I understand how important it is to feel your pet is safe and happy, whether you’re away on holiday or just need support during the day. If a working day our dogs get 2 - 3 walks a day from 30 minutes to 45 minutes in a range of different settings. We can meet any timetable for feeding required. I have a fenced garden and 2 friendly dogs that will support in keeping your pup entertained and engaged in games (they love tug of war and ball games!) and lots of cuddles and fuss throughout the day. We live in a quiet estate. We also can offer quiet area’s of the house if they need a little downtime to themselves where we can sit with them if required away from our pups.

She was warm and friendly, and loved and cared for Heidi as if she was her own. Communication was excellent - she sent lots of pictures and updates, and responded quickly to messages. When we first met Julia at our meet and greet, she asked lots of questions and took the time to really get to know Heidi and us. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make Heidi comfortable in her home. She even gave us a tour of her property so that we’d have an idea of where Heidi would be hanging out. Knowing that our girl was in such good hands made it easy for us to relax on our trip, and we didn’t worry about her once. When we arrived to collect Heidi, it was clear that she had really bonded with Julia and they’d become the best of friends - Heidi didn’t want to leave at first and kept running back for more cuddles! Honestly, I can’t praise Julia enough. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful friend to care for Heidi when we go away. Thanks a million, Julia! Xx”
