Lisa was absolutely brilliant with our border terrier, Dilly. Dilly and I met up with Lisa for a 'get to know you' walk and it was clear that Dilly was in really safe hands. Lisa kept us updated with photos of Dilly whilst we were away which really allowed us to relax, knowing someone was making as much fuss of our little girl as we would be. Can't recommend enough. Thanks again Lisa!!

This was my first time leaving Bumble whilst we went on holiday and he had the best time! We felt so reassured and I loved seeing pictures of him during his stay. He had so much space to run around in and other dogs to play with ❤️ I would 100% recommend Rosy and Rich to anyone looking for boarding.

Jane had Ollie for the weekend for me and he was treated as one of the family, went on some great walks, had a lovely time and would have happily stayed with her forever I'm sure! He will definitely be back to stay again in the future. My first Rover experience and Ollie hasn't stayed away from me much at all in the last few years so I was a little nervous, but as soon as I met her I felt that Ollie was in capable and caring hands with Jane. Communication was great and it was really nice to receive photos of Ollie's adcentures. Thank you so much Jane 💓

About: Animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I raised my beloved rescue dog from a 2-month-old puppy all the way to 14 years. In her final years, she became very ill, which gave me extensive, hands-on experience in specialized senior care and administering medical treatments, including oral tablets, liquid solutions, and eye drops. Throughout my life, I have also owned and cared for many cats.Beyond my own pets, family members, friends, and neighbors have regularly trusted me to sit, feed, and look after their dogs of various breeds and sizes. I am a very active person, so I am always excited for long walks and engaging playtime. I am also happy to help with essential grooming, such as brushing and safe nail trimming. Your pet will receive the highest level of responsibility, love, and dedicated care! I am currently not working, which means I have a completely flexible schedule and can dedicate all my free time to your pet. I am available at any time by prior arrangement, allowing me to provide constant attention, timely feeding, and long walks whenever your dog needs them. Safety and trust are my absolute priorities. I have plenty of space in my home and a secure, fenced garden where your dog can play safely. Since I currently do not have any pets of my own, your furry friend will receive 100% of my love, care, and undivided attention. Having raised a rescue dog for 14 years, I know exactly how to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and safe.

We arranged a meet-and-greet beforehand and immediately felt comfortable leaving Sonny with Emily and her partner. When we returned to pick him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Sonny enjoyed some long walks, and it was reassuring to hear how attentive and caring Emily and her partner were, especially during the night when he was a little unsettled and whining. They made him feel safe and comfortable throughout his stay. We would be more than happy to leave Sonny with Emily again in the future and highly recommend her to other pet owners.

I had a last-minute trip abroad and found myself in a bit of a panic about what to do with my 3-month-old Cockapoo, Barry. I started looking into local kennels, but I quickly realized they weren’t the kind of place I wanted for my little guy—cold concrete floors and steel cages, with extra fees for a few minutes of play or attention. That wasn’t the environment I felt comfortable leaving Barry in, so I began searching for a better option. That’s when I found Rover and, more importantly, Charlotte! After messaging her about availability, we arranged to meet, and I couldn’t have been happier. Charlotte was so friendly and bubbly, instantly putting me at ease. She asked all the right questions about Barry—his training, his care needs—and told me about her own experience with dogs. I left feeling completely confident that Barry would be in safe, caring hands. During his stay, Barry not only bonded with Charlotte but also made friends with her Mum, and her dog Luna, who Charlotte had told me about and I agreed to them meeting (and hopefully getting along for play!). They had a blast together—forest walks, playtime, and even a seaside adventure where Barry got to dash around the sand and splash in the waves. Charlotte kept me updated with sweet texts and tons of adorable photos, showing Barry living his best life. Now that Barry has a new buddy in Luna, we’re even planning some future walks together, which I know will be fantastic for Barry and help him stay comfortable with Charlotte for future stays. A huge thank you to Charlotte (and Luna!) for taking such great care of my little buddy. I couldn’t be more grateful!

About: Hi, My name is Laura. I'm an animal lover and I've always had pets ever since I was little. I've had rescued dogs, birds, turtles, hamsters, rabbits and I currently have 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, a puppy and tropical fish. I provide home visits and I will make sure your pet is my number 1 priority and will treat them like I treat my own. I'm able to feed them, brush them, play with them and send you daily pictures and updates for your peace of mind. I can also water your plants if needed. I also provide a home boarding for small animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, etc. Lastly, I offer dog walking in Brantree. I live near a big park (Blackwater) so it's ideal for walks or I can walk around your area too. I have worked in an animal rescue in Spain, walking, feeding dogs and cleaning their enclosures and I have also fostered cats and dogs. I've also looked after my friends' pets while they are away, so I have lots of experience. I'm a full time mum of a 7 and a nearly 2 year old who adore animals. I'm at home most of the time. Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you, Laura I am a full time mum so I have plenty of time to look after your furry friend. When I do home visits I can feed other animals too and watter your plants, bring in your mail, etc. I live in a spacious 4 bedroom house with a very big fenced and secure garden. I live close to a very nice and big park so it's ideal for doggy walks.

About: Hello, I’m Katie, and I understand how important it is to find the right person to care for your dog, so you can have real peace of mind while you’re away. I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have two of my own, a chocolate Labrador and a Border Terrier, so I’m very used to different personalities and needs. My Border Terrier can be anxious in unfamiliar environments, which has given me a good understanding of how to support dogs who need a bit more patience and reassurance. I’ve also cared for dogs for friends and family, including day care and holiday stays, and I’m comfortable supporting dogs with additional needs such as medication or minor care. My days follow a calm, consistent routine that balances activity and rest. Dogs in my care are included alongside my own, with regular outdoor time, play and countryside walks suited to their energy levels. There’s always time to relax as well, so dogs can settle into a comfortable, low-stress environment. I adapt the day to suit each dog, whether they prefer to be active and social or enjoy a quieter pace. Care is provided exclusively in my home, creating a safe, calm and personalised “home-from-home” environment. Dogs will have access to both the family space as well as a dedicated annex for cosy comfort, rest and quiet time, along with about 2 acres of fully secure outdoor lawn and woodland space for safe roaming, play and exploration. For everyone’s safety, I require a meet-and-greet in advance to ensure dogs are happy in the environment and get along well with my two dogs. I’m only able to accept dogs that are friendly and well socialised, and am happy to accommodate exclusive bookings upon request. I can also provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident your dog is happy, settled and well cared for.

About: I grew up surrounded by animals including guinea pigs, budgies, dogs and even a hamster! One year ago I adopted my rescue dog from Romania, Lillah. When we first adopted her she was incredibly nervous on walks. Overtime, through kindness, patience and dedication, I slowly built her confidence with walks and socialisation- now she can't wait to get her lead on! Training ✅ Enhanced DBS ✅ Dog First Aid for: choking and bleeds I currently work part time teaching drama classes to children once a week (Fridays). I have a very flexible schedule weekdays and weekends. I am especially free during school holiday periods. For pets in my home I ensure my home is neat, tidy and any objects or toxic hazards are stored away and out of reach. At pet owners homes i will discuss with the owner what health and safety precautions they have in place.

About: I have always grown up around cats and been a part of a ‘cat family’. As we know cats all have very different personalities and I’ve been around many of them; friendly cats who crave affection and more independence cats that want love from a distance! Cats have an independent nature so caring for them has always come with ease but not without teething issues! I’m confident with holding and securing cats (at the vets or if there are other animals around) whilst also giving space when needed and love when wanted.

We needed a cat/house sitter super last minute when our original fell through and Cait saved the day! Our twelve year old boy is diabetic and needs insulin shots twice a day as well as having a special eye kept on his behaviour. We felt so safe leaving him with Cait and her WhatsApp updates meant we didn’t worry about him for a second. Would HIGHLY recommend and will absolutely be using Cait again! 🧡

About: Hi, I'm Hannah - a freelance arts manager and pet sitter. I'm a huge animal lover, having owned and cared for over 30 pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, fish - and one slightly grumpy terrapin! My freelance work means I am very flexible and can be home for most of the day to keep your pet company. I've cared for animals of all sizes and dispositions from nervous kittens to excitable labradors and pets in my care get their walkies or play every day without fail, rain or shine, and all the care and attention they would be accustomed to with plenty of cuddles, brushing (if they like those things) and of course, approved treats. My family pets were often older rescues with difficult pasts and nervous when they first came to us, so I'm used to catering to those sorts of needs in an animal in terms of appropriate levels of exercise and handling, giving medication, providing lots of reassurance and affection and just letting them feel comfortable, safe and to get to you know you at their own pace. Puppies and kittens are no problem either though, and I'm happy to continue any training you may be doing with them. When visiting pets in their own homes my aim is to make them feel comfortable and secure, including having them sleep in with me if allowed, and will do either leashed walks or dog park visits - whatever they are used to. If I have another local dog walking appointment during my stay and your dog is good around other dogs, they will get to come along too and have bonus walkies! As I'm home the majority of the day, pee breaks can be regular and I'm happy to give medication, food and water etc. as needed, whether doing daily drop-ins or longer term housesitting. I have a very flexible schedule and fit in admin work from home around pet-sitting. Saturday late afternoons - evenings are my only inflexible time due to work commitments, but I am happy to take longer housesits incorporating a Saturday if the pet can be left for 6 hours or there is a temporary companion such as a family member or neighbour who can cover that time. When staying in an owner's home, I follow the pet's normal feeding and walking/playtime routine so that they feel safe and settled. I also maintain any house rules set by the owner (whether this is 'no pets on the furniture', or a requirement for the pet to sleep in my room). I minimise the need to be away from the house during the day (unless the pet is used to this and it's considered better for their routine to continue the pattern), and never leave a pet alone overnight.

About: 20 years of experience raising and caring for animals at home (cocker spaniel, dachshund, border-collie, maine-coone) Deeply empathetic, considerate and gentle, I'm happy to accommodate any special care requests you require. I look forward to hearing from you! Currently working part-time from home (design/printmaker), so I have plenty of moments during my day for connection and care. I have 1 daughter, so will be on school runs 8–8.15AM & 3.30–4PM, which your dogs are welcome to join me for (sometimes I run the route, if your dogs are athletic –aprx 3km). We have 2 resident mini sausage dogs, but prefer to keep them in their own part of the house if other dogs are much larger. I have a large, fenced garden for your friend to explore and run about in! About: I have years of experience looking after pets of friends, my own, and through word of mouth I have house sat for many others. I have looked after and helped train dogs of varying ages including those with challenging behaviour. I have developed a good understanding of canine behaviour in this time and I ensure every dog in my care receives the attention, patience, and love they deserve. I love all animals whether they are furry, feathered, or scaly, and I understand they all come with their own unique personalities and needs. I will ensure your pet feels safe and loved in my care. *I am also DBS cleared and have my Canine First Aid certificate, for extra peace of mind.* I work just three days a week for a couple of hours cleaning, which means your dog will never be left alone for long periods. Outside of that, pet care is my main focus, so I’m able to provide plenty of time, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I maintain a flexible schedule to work around your dog’s needs and ensure your dog feels comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I have a large, fenced in garden, with a forest walk that lies out back. Perfect for little or large adventures. We have one other dog that has use of the garden but does not share the same living space. I can keep the dogs separate if needed or if your pup likes company I’m sure they will love our little girl.

About: I have several years of professional house and pet sitting experience, built up through Trusted Housesitters, where I've earned over 30 five-star reviews. Over that time I've cared for dogs of all shapes, sizes and temperaments — from small, anxious dogs who need gentle handling and regular medication, to big softies who just need reassurance during thunderstorms. I'm comfortable adapting to each dog's routine and personality, and I know how important it is for owners to feel genuinely at ease when they're away. Whether your dog needs calm, patient company or an energetic companion for walks, I'll make sure they're happy, safe and well looked after. Your home will be treated with the same respect and care as my own. I'm currently on a career break from Finance so I can happily make time to spend with any dog in my care. My days are flexible, which means walks, feeding and any care routines can fit around what your dog is used to rather than what suits me; whether that's a long walk or a day lounging on the sofa in their safe space. Over many sits I've encountered all sorts of dogs and learned to read what each one needs. From small rescues who are usually nervous around men and just need time and calmness, to mischievous Spaniels who will seek out their favourite muddy puddle given half the chance. I take each dog's individual needs seriously, whether that's sticking to a familiar routine, administering medication, or simply knowing when to give a dog space and when they just want company. In a pet owner's home I treat everything with care and respect, and I'm always happy to follow whatever routines and house rules the owner has in place.

About: My husband I have always loved dogs and had them in our lives since childhood. We are early retirees and able to offer outstanding care for your beloved pet/s. Our own beloved family member, Alfie, a Cocker Spaniel died in 2018 and we have since then lavished all our love on our granddog Duke, a Golden retriever, who lives in LA, whom we have helped raise since he was a puppy. We are early retirees and when not travelling, are able to offer 5 star care for your dog/s in our home, which is a good size, clean and very safe. We are both young, mid 50's and very active with access to walks around the lovely countryside in Bocking, Braintree. Having been on Rover for nearly a year and with a bit more experience, we offer a high quality service limited to just one dog at a time, or two dogs from the same family. We will not mix your dogs with any other dog, at any time during the stay. We wish to provide the best care possible and for us, we realise it's best if we concentrate on a single dog, or a pair of dogs, from the same family to maximise, safety, care and attention on your beloved pet/s. We are recently retired and therefore able to prove maximum time and attention to any Dog that stays in our home with us. We are also able to visit your home for walks or drop-ins. We have a fenced in garden, which is dog friendly and safe. We have a spacious home, very safe and clean and a perfect loving environment for your pet. We live very close to the Fennes, giving us the best walks in Essex, perfect for us to exercise ourselves and your pet. We are both mature and responsible adults with lots of time on our hands. We are only looking to look after a maximum of one dog, or two dogs from the same home, at any one time, as we are looking to provide high quality and maximum attention to a small number of dogs, so we can enjoy the experience of having dogs, rather than providing care for financial reward alone.

About: I am new to rover but have lots of experience with dog sitting. Apart from caring for my very own Cavapoo, Teddy, I have regularly looked after my family and friends pets too. Dogs have always been a part of my life and always had one in my home so I have a lot of experience from owning my own pets. I used to have a shar-pei and a Staffordshire bull terrier. I work from home so it enables me to give your pet all the attention they need, some company with plenty of cuddles and lots of playtime! My dog would also love a friend for the day or the night too. I love all type of breeds, big and small. To make sure your furry pet is comfortable, I am happy to meet them before hand and will ensure you are kept regularly updated with photos too. Any questions feel free to message! I currently work from home and can offer regular toilet breaks with a big enough garden available and huge greenery / fields near by so your furry pet will get enough exercise too. I have a fenced garden which is safely secured. If you prefer to keep your pet crated, I do have one available. In addition, I have a 16 month Cavapoo of my own who will ensure to keep your pet company. My pet is allowed in every room of my house, no rooms are restricted so will ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable.

About: Ever since I was little, I've always loved pets. I've spent many hours and days looking after our friends dogs and cats - including house sitting, walks, daycare and check-ins. I would love a dog of my own in the future once more settled, but in the meantime, I would love the opportunity to care for others dogs and cats. If interested, I'm a semi-professional cyclist (and part-time marketer). I'm currently off training (cycling) for a month or two, and will be coming back into training very slowly, so have a lot more free time. I'm working part-time at home most days, with the odd Wednesday working from the office in London, allowing me to move around the local area looking after your pet(s) or having your pet(s) come to stay. Relatively relaxed and free, but there may be a few days or weekends I won't be able to do. I have a very large downstairs space which is neat, tidy with very little clutter, with a great playing field (and crop fields) behind the houses where lots of dog owners walk their dogs.

About: Hi, I'm Zy! (If you said my name right, it should rhyme with 'hi') I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I grew up with multiple dogs, including large and giant breeds, so I’m confident handling everything from energetic pups to calmer, more sensitive dogs. I’ve also regularly cared for dogs for friends and family—from small Maltipoos and Staffies to Spaniels and Retrievers—providing walks, daycare, and overnight stays. I’m comfortable adapting to different routines and personalities. My approach is calm, patient, and attentive. I focus on building trust, reading behaviour, and creating a safe, relaxed environment. Whether your dog needs long walks and playtime or slower strolls and quiet companionship, I’ll tailor their care to suit them (snuggles on the sofa are always welcome!) I don’t currently have any pets, which means your dog/s will have my full attention in a calm, one-on-one setting. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine and will always keep you updated for peace of mind. I am currently working part-time which means I have free days to spend playing with your pets, taking them for walks, snuggles and generally having a great time together. I'm typically available midweek onwards for daycare, walks, and boarding, with my calendar being regularly updated. Currently, I am limiting to 1 pet (from one family) at a time (if you have multiple pets from the same family I am open to caring for them at the same time), meaning your pet/s will have my undivided attention. I have a fully fenced farmland garden that can be fully seen from the living space. Open plan kitchen/living room so your fur baby (whether the purr or bark) will have more than enough room to roam around and play. I have access to a play pen too should you feel your pet would prefer this/ be more suitable. I have spare to be able to easily set up a crate if your pet needs this too. For walks while boarding, I'm very closely located to quiet public trails/ footpaths/ fields to allow for calm, regular walks - perfect for shy or slightly unpredictable doggies. For dog walking - I'm physically fit, attend the gym regularly, and have experience in walking my families giant dog (a Caucasian mountain dog - very large, very strong). Duration of walks required is open for discussion to best suit your dog :)

About: I've owned lots of different animals in my lifetime, but consistently dogs and cats. I cannot pass a dog in the street without stopping to say hello, or hoping I get approached for a quick cuddle! And when it comes to cats, I nearly cancelled my return flight from Turkey last year so that I could be surrounded by kittens forever! I am trustworthy, reliable and respectable. I can spend hours walking, running and playing, and working from home with my own hours means I can adapt my days to perfectly match the needs you and your companions have. I recently quit my full-time job to work for myself more, which has been great but very lonely. At the moment, I'm working from home and have all of the time for big walks, games and snuggles. I work remotely and have lots of flexibility to come and pet sit. I'm more than happy to have a pre-meeting so that you can make sure you and your bestie like me before any commitments are made :)

About: I am a Qualified level 2 vet nurse assistant, with lots of experience with rescue animals. My border collie is anxious with new dogs I cannot offer boarding, but I am more than happy to offer to walk your furry friends or drop in for cuddles. I have a lot of experience with different temperaments and also working in a vets means I have dealt with tough situations and bigger breeds. I have had rescue dogs since I was 6, sharing responsibility till I was older. I have now got two rescue dogs one from Romania (husky cross) who has three legs so needs extra support with medication and walks, and a border collie who is full of energy but requires longer walks and can be aggressive to others, I have experience with aggressive furries too! I’m located near Hatfield forest (5 min drive) and the flitch way is backing on to my property so if you’re furry friend is worried in a car, I can also use the flitch way for enrichment filled walks. I studied animal management at Writtle university college, meaning I have lots of experience with all kinds of species, including exotic birds, cats, small animals, reptiles and even wallabies. I have strong knowledge of behaviour issues and special food requirements, I am also confident to administrate medication, injection or oral. I have also trained both dogs I have now, so I’m more than happy to train or help alongside training schedules. I also have a range of dog fields near me, which are fully secure and include tons of enrichment and fun for your furry friends. Im currently working full time in a vet clinic as a patient care assistant. I have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off to look after your furries. I live right by Hatfield forest, meaning your pups will have enrichment filled walks! I’m experienced with all breeds and confident to assist with behavioural issues

About: Dogs have always been at the heart of my life and caring for them has never simply been something I do - it is who I am. For me, this is not just a service, it is a privilege. I understand that every dog is a cherished member of the family and I treat each one with the same love, patience, kindness and unwavering devotion that I gave to my own. For 13 wonderful years, I was blessed to share my life with my beautiful Cavapoo, Colby. He was my constant companion, my best friend and I will always feel incredibly honoured that he chose me every day. The bond we shared shaped the way I care for animals and reinforced my belief that every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, loved and completely at ease. Following Colby's passing, I found myself deeply missing the daily joy of giving that love and care to a dog. It is this, more than anything, that inspired me to begin this new chapter. My aim is not simply to offer dog boarding, walking and house sitting, but to provide a home-from-home experience where every dog receives genuine affection, individual attention and the highest standard of care, as though they were my own. My experience extends well beyond everyday care. During Colby's later years, he bravely lived with heart failure, requiring an extensive and carefully managed medication regime. I administered multiple medications with precision, consistency and dedication while closely monitoring his health, comfort and changing needs. This experience has given me invaluable confidence in caring for senior dogs, administering medication and supporting dogs with ongoing medical conditions, always with patience, compassion and meticulous attention to detail. When you dog is in my care, they will be treated as my own family - with warmth, gentleness and genuine affection. My promise is to provide not only a safe and reliable service, but a nurturing environment where you dog feels secure, loved and truly at home 🐶❤️ I provide full-time, dedicated care tailored entirely to your dog's individual needs and routine. Whether they enjoy long walks and playtime, gentle companionship, plenty of cuddles and love, or simply a quiet place to relax, my focus is always on ensuring they feel safe, happy and loved. I offer house sitting in your home, boarding, drop in and dog walking throughout the week, including weekends and I am committed to maintaining your dog's usual routine as closely as possible to provide comfort, consistency and complete peace of mind while you are away. Safety, trust and a calm, secure environment are at the very heart of my care. I have no other pets or children in the home, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed setting for your dog. My property benefits from a walled, secure garden and I am fortunate to be situated in a beautiful village with a country park and woodland walks right on my doorstep, offering safe, enriching and varied outdoor experiences in nature.

We left our two puppies (age 3 months and 9 months) with Heather while we went away and was kept updated daily with pictures and messages which made us feel so relaxed. The dogs were taken care of brilliantly and Heather is lovely. We’d always use her again in the future and have recommended her to our friends
