Monty had a WONDERFUL stay with Caroline and Steph!! She sent photos and videos every day so we could see he was happy and loved whilst with them. We also had a late return and they were very accommodating with that, which was very kind. To top it all off, Monty has come back super well behaved - it’s amazing! No more jumping and he’s been so relaxed and good as gold which only confirms how well cared he was. We won’t hesitate in leaving him with Caroline again. Thank you both for loving our baby as one of yours!

We cannot recommend Bob & Sue enough. They treated our dog like he was their own and we will definitely be booking them again. Our dog can be a little funny with strangers but he straightaway took to them both so we knew he would be happy there. We got a message with a photo or video each day which was lovely. And i think they have even given him a bath 😊 thank you very much Bob & Sue!

We felt honey was left in a safe and caring environment thank you :)

About: Dogs have always been at the heart of my life and caring for them has never simply been something I do - it is who I am. For me, this is not just a service, it is a privilege. I understand that every dog is a cherished member of the family and I treat each one with the same love, patience, kindness and unwavering devotion that I gave to my own. For 13 wonderful years, I was blessed to share my life with my beautiful Cavapoo, Colby. He was my constant companion, my best friend and I will always feel incredibly honoured that he chose me every day. The bond we shared shaped the way I care for animals and reinforced my belief that every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, loved and completely at ease. Following Colby's passing, I found myself deeply missing the daily joy of giving that love and care to a dog. It is this, more than anything, that inspired me to begin this new chapter. My aim is not simply to offer dog boarding, walking and house sitting, but to provide a home-from-home experience where every dog receives genuine affection, individual attention and the highest standard of care, as though they were my own. My experience extends well beyond everyday care. During Colby's later years, he bravely lived with heart failure, requiring an extensive and carefully managed medication regime. I administered multiple medications with precision, consistency and dedication while closely monitoring his health, comfort and changing needs. This experience has given me invaluable confidence in caring for senior dogs, administering medication and supporting dogs with ongoing medical conditions, always with patience, compassion and meticulous attention to detail. My love of animals reaches far beyond dogs. I have owned horses for over 20 years and have extensive hands-on experience caring for animals of all sizes, as well as a variety of other pets and retiles. This lifelong passion has given me a calm, knowledgeable and intuitive approach to animal care, with a deep understanding that every animal deserves kindness, respect and individual attention. When you dog is in my care, they will be treated as my own family - with warmth, gentleness and genuine affection. My promise is to provide not only a safe and reliable service, but a nurturing environment where you dog feels secure, loved and truly at home. With homes in both Essex and Suffolk, I am able to offer trusted dog care services of House Sitting, Boarding, Dog Walking throughout both counties. I provide full-time, dedicated care tailored entirely to your dog's individual needs and routine. Whether they enjoy long walks and playtime, gentle companionship, plenty of cuddles and love, or simply a quiet place to relax, my focus is always on ensuring they feel safe, happy and loved. I offer house sitting in your home, boarding, drops in and dog walking throughout the week, including weekends and I am committed to maintaining your dog's usual routine as closely as possible to provide comfort, consistency and complete peace of mind while you are away. Safety, trust and a calm, secure environment are at the very heart of my care. I have no other pets or children in the home, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed setting for your dog. My property benefits from a walled, secure garden and I am fortunate to be situated in a beautiful village with a country park and woodland walks right on my doorstep, offering safe, enriching and varied outdoor experiences in nature.

Lisa was absolutely brilliant with our border terrier, Dilly. Dilly and I met up with Lisa for a 'get to know you' walk and it was clear that Dilly was in really safe hands. Lisa kept us updated with photos of Dilly whilst we were away which really allowed us to relax, knowing someone was making as much fuss of our little girl as we would be. Can't recommend enough. I can’t thank Anne (and her husband Chris) enough for the devoted care they gave Bertie whilst I was on holiday. They looked after him so well, even administering medication where needed. I especially felt reassured by the great pictures they sent of Bertie enjoying his walks and resting afterwards! I certainly felt quite relaxed about Bertie being in a safe pair of hands. About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who is great at adapting to different temperaments. Whether your dog is super energetic or a bit shy, I know how to make them feel comfortable and safe. I take your specific instructions very seriously! I’m happy to follow exact feeding routines, dietary needs, and any special 'house rules' you have. I’ll make sure your pet’s schedule stays exactly the way they like it so you can relax while you're away. Since I work from home, pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine! I am available throughout the day for constant company and supervision. I structure my breaks around your pet's needs, ensuring they get regular outdoor time in my garden and two long walks (30–60 minutes each) at the nearby park. Your dog will never be left alone for long periods. I provide a safe and loving home environment with a secure, fenced garden where your dog can enjoy some freedom. I have my own dog who is very friendly and loves having playmates, but I can also easily separate them if needed. I am extremely careful with feeding instructions and house rules to ensure your pet feels secure and right at home while staying with me.

About: I grew up surrounded by animals including guinea pigs, budgies, dogs and even a hamster! One year ago I adopted my rescue dog from Romania, Lillah. When we first adopted her she was incredibly nervous on walks. Overtime, through kindness, patience and dedication, I slowly built her confidence with walks and socialisation- now she can't wait to get her lead on! Training ✅ Enhanced DBS ✅ Dog First Aid for: choking and bleeds I currently work part time teaching drama classes to children once a week (Fridays). I have a very flexible schedule weekdays and weekends. I am especially free during school holiday periods. For pets in my home I ensure my home is neat, tidy and any objects or toxic hazards are stored away and out of reach. At pet owners homes i will discuss with the owner what health and safety precautions they have in place.

About: I’ve been around cats my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally. Growing up with cats has given me experience with a wide range of personalities, from confident and affectionate lap cats to nervous and senior cats with more complex needs. I understand that every cat is different and can adapt to different temperaments. Alongside my life long experience with cats, my policing background has shaped me into a dependable, observant and trustworthy person. As a cat sitter, this means you can rely on me to follow your instructions carefully and fully, to respect your home, notice any changes in your cats behaviour and keep you informed with clear updates. Trusting someone with your pet and home is a huge decision, and I take that responsibility seriously.

About: Hello, I’m Katie, and I understand how important it is to find the right person to care for your dog, so you can have real peace of mind while you’re away. I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have two of my own, a chocolate Labrador and a Border Terrier, so I’m very used to different personalities and needs. My Border Terrier can be anxious in unfamiliar environments, which has given me a good understanding of how to support dogs who need a bit more patience and reassurance. I’ve also cared for dogs for friends and family, including day care and holiday stays, and I’m comfortable supporting dogs with additional needs such as medication or minor care. My days follow a calm, consistent routine that balances activity and rest. Dogs in my care are included alongside my own, with regular outdoor time, play and countryside walks suited to their energy levels. There’s always time to relax as well, so dogs can settle into a comfortable, low-stress environment. I adapt the day to suit each dog, whether they prefer to be active and social or enjoy a quieter pace. Care is provided exclusively in my home, creating a safe, calm and personalised “home-from-home” environment. Dogs will have access to both the family space as well as a dedicated annex for cosy comfort, rest and quiet time, along with about 2 acres of fully secure outdoor lawn and woodland space for safe roaming, play and exploration. For everyone’s safety, I require a meet-and-greet in advance to ensure dogs are happy in the environment and get along well with my two dogs. I’m only able to accept dogs that are friendly and well socialised, and am happy to accommodate exclusive bookings upon request. I can also provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident your dog is happy, settled and well cared for.

About: I have years of experience looking after pets of friends, my own, and through word of mouth I have house sat for many others. I have looked after and helped train dogs of varying ages including those with challenging behaviour. I have developed a good understanding of canine behaviour in this time and I ensure every dog in my care receives the attention, patience, and love they deserve. I love all animals whether they are furry, feathered, or scaly, and I understand they all come with their own unique personalities and needs. I will ensure your pet feels safe and loved in my care. *I am also DBS cleared and have my Canine First Aid certificate, for extra peace of mind.* I work just three days a week for a couple of hours cleaning, which means your dog will never be left alone for long periods. Outside of that, pet care is my main focus, so I’m able to provide plenty of time, attention, and companionship throughout the day. This allows me to maintain a flexible schedule and ensure your dog feels comfortable, cared for while you’re away. I have a large, fenced in garden, with a forest that lies out back. Perfect for little or large adventures. We have one other dog that has use of the garden but does not share the same living space. I can keep the dogs separate if needed or if your pup likes company I’m sure they will love our little girl.

I run Molly Walks Club, a free dachshund walking community, and host The Dachshund Clinic podcast, where I share insights around dachshund health, behaviour and wellbeing. My background in behavioural training means I understand how to work with nervous, excitable, stubborn, sensitive and strong-willed dachshunds in a calm, confident and supportive way. Because I run my businesses from home, your dog is never left in a busy kennel environment or with minimal supervision. They enjoy constant companionship, structured care and a calm, cosy home environment designed with dachshunds in mind, including ramps for little legs, quiet rest spaces and plenty of comfort. Our resident dachshund, Molly, is the self-appointed CEO of the household and an excellent hostess. She is incredibly social and particularly brilliant at helping nervous or unsure dogs settle in, often gently guiding them into the pack and helping them feel safe. Every stay includes tailored countryside walks designed for dachshunds. We focus on safe exploration, enrichment, confidence building and appropriate exercise rather than exhausting long-distance walks. Quiet woodland trails, countryside routes and plenty of sniffing opportunities are all part of the experience. Animals have always been part of my life, with over thirty years of hands-on experience caring for pets. I volunteered at a veterinary practice when I was young for six years, giving me additional practical grounding in animal care and welfare. For dachshunds with IVDD or additional support needs, I also offer respite care where appropriate. If your dog needs extra care, just let me know so we can make sure the right support is in place. Safe care. Specialist understanding. Happy dachshunds. Peace of mind for owners. 🐾 Key Business Details 4-Star Council Licensed Home Boarding & Day Care Fully Insured Canine First Aid Qualified I work from home and my own dachshund, Molly, is the centre of my world. My day is already structured around her needs, so caring for other daxies simply becomes part of that same rhythm. Mornings usually start with breakfast and a 30-min walk where the little legs can explore, sniff and move at a relaxed pace. The rest of the day is a mix of companionship, playtime, enrichment, naps and garden breaks, with the dogs always nearby while I work. Because I am home throughout the day, the dogs are never left alone and get plenty of attention, reassurance and supervision. The routine is calm and predictable, which dachshunds tend to respond to really well. Late afternoons and evenings are relaxed with a longer walk, usually at a woodlands, and garden time, followed by cosy downtime in the house. It is very much a home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family rather than being kept in a kennel style setting. Dogs staying with me are cared for as part of the household. They stay inside the home with plenty of cosy spaces to rest, relax and feel safe, and I keep the number of dogs small so everyone gets proper attention and supervision. Because I work from home, the dogs are not left alone and are always nearby throughout the day. I pay close attention to each dog's temperament, energy level and comfort so they settle in at their own pace. Some dachshunds are confident straight away, while others need a little more time, and that is completely fine. My own dachshund Molly plays a big role in helping visiting dogs feel comfortable. She is very social and particularly good with nervous dogs, often helping them settle into the pack naturally. Walks are done in quiet woodland or countryside areas where the environment is calm and safe for dachshunds. I always prioritise slow paced walks suitable for little legs and make sure dogs are secure and supervised at all times. We will work up to off-lead walks, and I will keep your babies on-lead until we are both comfortable with being off-lead. Once they are off lead, they naturally move in a pack, which means that they stick together. Molly's recall is great, so if I need them back close to me, they will all come together. Having grown up with animals and spent time volunteering in a veterinary clinic when I was younger, I am also comfortable recognising when a dog may be stressed, uncomfortable or unwell. I have a good understanding of basic dog first aid and always prioritise the wellbeing, safety and happiness of every dog in my care.

About: Ever since I was little, I've always loved pets. I've spent many hours and days looking after our friends dogs and cats - including house sitting, walks, daycare and check-ins. I would love a dog of my own in the future once more settled, but in the meantime, I would love the opportunity to care for others dogs and cats. If interested, I'm a semi-professional cyclist (and part-time marketer). I'm currently off training (cycling) for a month or two, and will be coming back into training very slowly, so have a lot more free time. I'm working part-time at home most days, with the odd Wednesday working from the office in London, allowing me to move around the local area looking after your pet(s) or having your pet(s) come to stay. Relatively relaxed and free, but there may be a few days or weekends I won't be able to do. I have a very large downstairs space which is neat, tidy with very little clutter, with a great playing field (and crop fields) behind the houses where lots of dog owners walk their dogs.

About: I have grown up with and always loved animals. I regularly look after dogs of varying breeds (and personalities) for friends and family which I absolutely love. My experience varies from stubborn Huskies to yappy Jack Russel's to needy Siamese cats while also loving my own boisterous Labrador. This also varies in age, from my own 1 year old Labrador who we have had since a puppy, to more senior dogs who prefer a slower pace of life. I am understanding of the fact that different breeds and ages have different needs and requirements when it comes to daily care and I am always happy to incorporate this into their daily routine. Please feel free to message me for anymore information or any questions you may have. I currently work from home on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so will be around all day. I have a Labrador of my own, so we are in the routine of letting the dog out regularly, providing two walks a day and doing regular check ins to make sure there is plenty of water and all needs are met. Our garden is fully enclosed so the dogs are able to venture in and out as they please. My Labrador is still crated at night, however if your dog does not require crating this is fine. During the day, you dog will never be left for more than two hours. They layout of our house is slightly different, with the living area being on the first floor. This may not always be the best for more senior dogs. If there is any issues with this then please let me know.

About: I have a 4.5-year-old miniature long-haired Dachshund, so I understand first-hand how important it is to have someone trustworthy and caring looking after your pet. I’ve loved dogs and cats from a young age and have always been surrounded by animals throughout my life. I’m a big animal lover and a strong advocate for animal welfare, and I treat every pet as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for at all times. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine as I work from home in a corporate role. This gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day, so I’m able to accommodate drop-in visits, walks, and feeding schedules with ease. I can step away from my desk as needed to make sure pets are checked on, cared for, and given attention at consistent times. Because I’m home most of the day, I’m also able to provide a reassuring level of presence and reliability, rather than being tied to fixed office hours. I’m well organised with my workload, which allows me to plan visits around my schedule and be responsive to each pet’s needs. I also offer dog boarding services in my own home at your request. I provide a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for pets in my home. I have a large fenced garden with plenty of space for dogs to play, run around, and enjoy outdoor time safely. At home, I have one friendly miniature long-haired Dachshund who is very sociable and loving, and can provide company for visiting pets if suitable. However, I’m also happy to keep pets separated if preferred or if they need their own space to feel comfortable. I have a crate available if requested, along with extra dog beds, toys, bowls, and treats to make sure visiting pets feel settled and cared for. My priority is always to make each pet feel safe, relaxed, and at home, while following their usual routine as closely as possible.

About: My husband I have always loved dogs and had them in our lives since childhood. We are early retirees and able to offer outstanding care for your beloved pet/s. Our own beloved family member, Alfie, a Cocker Spaniel died in 2018 and we have since then lavished all our love on our granddog Duke, a Golden retriever, who lives in LA, whom we have helped raise since he was a puppy. We are early retirees and when not travelling, are able to offer 5 star care for your dog/s in our home, which is a good size, clean and very safe. We are both young, mid 50's and very active with access to walks around the lovely countryside in Bocking, Braintree. Having been on Rover for nearly a year and with a bit more experience, we offer a high quality service limited to just one dog at a time, or two dogs from the same family. We will not mix your dogs with any other dog, at any time during the stay. We wish to provide the best care possible and for us, we realise it's best if we concentrate on a single dog, or a pair of dogs, from the same family to maximise, safety, care and attention on your beloved pet/s. We are recently retired and therefore able to prove maximum time and attention to any Dog that stays in our home with us. We are also able to visit your home for walks or drop-ins. We have a fenced in garden, which is dog friendly and safe. We have a spacious home, very safe and clean and a perfect loving environment for your pet. We live very close to the Fennes, giving us the best walks in Essex, perfect for us to exercise ourselves and your pet. We are both mature and responsible adults with lots of time on our hands. We are only looking to look after a maximum of one dog, or two dogs from the same home, at any one time, as we are looking to provide high quality and maximum attention to a small number of dogs, so we can enjoy the experience of having dogs, rather than providing care for financial reward alone.

About: Hi, I'm Zy! (If you said my name right, it should rhyme with 'hi') I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I grew up with multiple dogs, including large and giant breeds, so I’m confident handling everything from energetic pups to calmer, more sensitive dogs. I’ve also regularly cared for dogs for friends and family—from small Maltipoos and Staffies to Spaniels and Retrievers—providing walks, daycare, and overnight stays. I’m comfortable adapting to different routines and personalities. My approach is calm, patient, and attentive. I focus on building trust, reading behaviour, and creating a safe, relaxed environment. Whether your dog needs long walks and playtime or slower strolls and quiet companionship, I’ll tailor their care to suit them (snuggles on the sofa are always welcome!) I don’t currently have any pets, which means your dog/s will have my full attention in a calm, one-on-one setting. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine and will always keep you updated for peace of mind. I am currently working part-time which means I have free days to spend playing with your pets, taking them for walks, snuggles and generally having a great time together. I'm typically available midweek onwards for daycare, walks, and boarding, with my calendar being regularly updated. Currently, I am limiting to 1 pet (from one family) at a time (if you have multiple pets from the same family I am open to caring for them at the same time), meaning your pet/s will have my undivided attention. I have a fully fenced farmland garden that can be fully seen from the living space. Open plan kitchen/living room so your fur baby (whether the purr or bark) will have more than enough room to roam around and play. I have access to a play pen too should you feel your pet would prefer this/ be more suitable. I have spare to be able to easily set up a crate if your pet needs this too. For walks while boarding, I'm very closely located to quiet public trails/ footpaths/ fields to allow for calm, regular walks - perfect for shy or slightly unpredictable doggies. For dog walking - I'm physically fit, attend the gym regularly, and have experience in walking my families giant dog (a Caucasian mountain dog - very large, very strong). Duration of walks required is open for discussion to best suit your dog :)

About: I have loved dogs ever since I can remember and have grown up taking care of them, including a diverse range of breeds. I have been a dog walker and pet sitter for neighbours in the past. I adore dogs and aim to give them the best experience as possible. I will care for them as if they are my own, giving them all the cuddles and walks a dog could dream of. I’m currently at home from university and so I have plenty of free time to care for your dog. I am available to walk your dog any days of the week and will give them plenty of cuddles and treats (only if their mom or dad allows it ofc!). There is also a large nature reserve two minutes away from which is the perfect place for your dog to sniff to their hearts content. I have a fenced garden for your dog to roam around in as well as a dog of my own to keep them company. His name is Louie (Lou Lou) — the most lovable dog you will meet. He is incredible sociable with other dogs but would also respects their space. He is only a young cockapoo! Our days are spent with lots of cuddles and belly rubs.

About: Hi, I’m Angela, I’m 34 years old and live in Monks Eleigh. Over the last 3 years I have developed this new found love of mine into RIO’s RETREAT SUFFOLK which I run alongside Rover. If you would like details of Rio’s retreat Suffolk please let me know or check out our website. I am fully licensed & insured. I have updated my profile to enable a better insight into what I do & who I am. I have recently left the police having worked as a police officer in London. I have gone back into health care to enable a better work life balance and to do what I love… be with animals. I grew up on a small holding with a range of livestock & cattle. I was lucky enough to grow up with and around gun dogs who I just adore; the crazier the better 😂. WHY IM DOING THIS I started rover to fill a void, I left an abusive marriage which resulted in my horse & dog being given away. I missed animals & being outside so I started rover hoping to meet a few pups. I have been extremely lucky & grateful to meet some amazing families and their lovely fluffy friends. I never expected to be as busy as I have been and I couldn’t ask for kinder people to welcome me into their homes. Whilst looking after your animals I only ever have one animal boarding at a time. I also only do solo dog walks. I’m not interested in over filling my home or putting dogs at risk by walking 10 at a time just to make money. Your animal is purely my priority and has all my time and attention. I’m more than happy to take your pets out for long walks, drive to parks, vet checks ect. No preferences or needs are too big or too small, Even just throw a ball and have lots of cuddles. I had a cocker spaniel and as long as he had his ball and his mum that’s all he needed :) MY PETS I am very lucky to have the sweetest & kindest Labrador who was kindly rehomed to me through rover. She loves people & dogs more then anything but if your dog boards with us we have arrangements in place if your dog cannot be kept with other dogs. I also have rescue cats & Guinea pigs who are out the way of staying pets. SO WHY AM I DOING THIS? I love long walks, muddy paws and slobbery kisses more than anyone could imagine. I adore animals, I am a very patient and sensible person, so whatever your pet or their personality, we will get along just fine. I’m happy for regular updates and perfectionist owners who want to leave me lists (please tell me I’m not the only one who does this haha) Please feel free to ask me any questions. I am fully DBS checked & have full public liability cover. I have currently changed jobs so I now only work a couple of nights a week. I take leave for the nights I have the pleasure of looking after your animals. Your animals will be treated like royalty, animals have been a huge part of my life and my life has always revolved around them. There is always plenty of cuddles, play time or chill time whatever they prefer. I’m more than happy to drive to parks or forests for a variety to their life, it will be my pleasure to exercise your animals for you. I am also public liability insured.

I will try to be as flexible, open and honest as I can be able my availability but please ask questions and be honest about your pets needs.

Our dog can be a little funny with strangers but he straightaway took to them both so we knew he would be happy there. We got a message with a photo or video each day which was lovely.

We got regular updates and pictures from Charlotte which made us feel really comfortable that he was enjoying his stay! We will 100% be booking with Charlotte again- thank you so much!

It was my first time using Cathy and her adorable golden retriever Stan. We initially met to see if Lana was comfortable there. When we returned for Lana to stay, she happily walked into Cathy’s driveway. Cathy sent me pupdates while Lana was with her. At no time was I concerned about Lana. In fact, my plans changed and Cathy kindly extended Lana’s stay for me at short notice which was so very kind and helpful of her. When I picked Lana up, although she was happy to see me, she was in no rush to leave. Lana, and in fact, myself, were treated like a member of the family. I know for a fact that Lana was not distressed as she licks her paw raw when distressed. Lana was with Cathy for nearly 24 hours and her paw was perfect. I will definitely be using Cathy (and Stan) again. X

Excellent!! We used Steven for the first time and he exceeded our expectations. He was friendly, accommodating and a good communicator. We’re so thankful for his care of our Mika and would use him again. Thank you Steven! 😊
