I'm retired, I spend most of my days looking after our four acre garden which is fenced off, me or my wife Jackie is home pretty much all the time. We have a secure garden in a rural location off a country lane close to wooded area, we would walk your dog twice daily (age dependant) or it can a have a run around in our secure garden/meadow.

About: I am a Dog Trainer, with a Level 4 certification. I started my career with dogs volunteering in a Grey Hound Rehome Kennel and then became a Dog Handler in 2020, since then I have completed my Dog Trainer qualification and have trained numerous working dogs in different specialised roles, from Search to Police. I currently own a retired working dog, called Rocco, a 6 year old LabX and a Belgian Malinois, Arya, who is a year old. My dogs are very well behaved and tolerant of all temperaments. They are a playful, high-energy bunch however will respect a dogs space if they are more timid. My daily work as a Dog Trainer includes addressing behavioural cases, from reactivity to human aggression cases and troubleshooting handler issues. I have aided with pet and sport dog owners providing guidance on obedience, tracking and scent-work training. Experienced with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. I have a very flexible schedule at the moment so can give my full attention to the dogs in my care. I am available weekends and most days with prior confirmation. I have a two bedroom house with an enclosed garden, all fences are 6 ft high other than one side, which is slightly over 3ft and both neighbours either side have dogs. They are friendly, often playing and interacting with my two dogs through the fence. I have space for my dogs to be crated separately from any visiting.

“I picked up our Boston Terrier, Edie, today after an overnight stay with Simon, and it was another very positive experience. Once again, I found him to be highly responsible, professional, and kind. He was eager to learn about Edie's habits, likes, and dislikes, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I provided a list of her commands, routine, and little quirks, but I felt that even if I had forgotten something, he would easily handle whatever came up. Simon was also incredibly helpful when I accidentally left a couple of Edie's things behind, generously offering some of his own for her to use. When I collected Edie, she was bright and happy, and they had just been outside playing in the garden together. Additionally, his house and neighbourhood are very safe environments. I didn't worry about her getting into trouble inside because his home is so organised and tidy. The neighbourhood has plenty of green space for walks and feels like a close-knit community. I have already booked Edie in for another overnight stay with Simon. I expect it will go just as well, and I know Edie will be happy to see him again!”

“Cordelia has looked after our dog Dino since his first overnight stay at 16 weeks old. I was quite nervous to leave him when he was so young, but I had no need to worry. We had a meet and greet with Cordelia and her dogs ahead of Dino’s stay and I felt confident that he was in safe hands. I received messages and photos throughout his stay and he had the best time! Since then, Dino has had many day visits with Cordelia and I would highly recommend her to all. About: I have been raised with dogs since a child, I currently have a 2 year old Labrador myself. I love being in the company of dogs and enjoy teaching dogs new tricks, walks or just cuddling up on the sofa. I currently work from home between school hours, I walk my dog in the mornings to school and back, then he has his breakfast. During my working hours they will have access to the garden at all times for toilet breaks, or can be with me resting, where ever they feel comfortable. After work I walk to collect my son from school, on the way home they are able to have a longer walk. School run walks take 40 minutes in the morning, enough time to stretch their legs in the morning. I have a fenced garden and have a 2 year old male Labrador and two cats. We have two children aged 10 and 13 who love animals, there will be plenty of love, fusses and playtime for all. As our Labrador is entire, we are unable to accept unspayed female, as we do not think it is fair for either dog. We are able to accept entire males, subject to a meet and greet with both dogs. About: I started pet sitting for family and friends in my teens, this has meant i’ve had the pleasure of caring for all kinds of dogs over the years, old, young, big and small. I also have taken care of cats both by boarding and drop ins. I have a 4 year old Labrador cross Cocker Spaniel called Myla who i have had since a puppy and a 2 year old cat called Boo-boo. They are both super friendly with other animals and are used to us boarding pets in their home. If you are unsure whether your dog is cat friendly we can either set up a meeting before hand or we can aim to keep them separate during their stay. I am a primary school teacher so i am available for boarding and day care during weekends and school holidays. As i only take boarding during the times i am not at work i get to ensure that your pet gets all of my time and my full attention. I can also do house drop ins and walks after 4:30pm during term time. I have fully fenced, enclosed garden and well socialised cat and dog to keep your pets company. If your pet requires a crate i am happy to do so but the pets are also welcome to roam freely around the house. Every pet that is in my care is treated as if it were my own and will get lots of love and time to play. As our cat is an indoor cat so you shouldn’t have any concern of your pet getting out as we have no cat/pet door and windows and doors are always securely closed. Your animals comfort, happiness and safety is my number one priority. Daily updates through messages/pictures are also available as i want you to be able to enjoy your time away feeling that your animals are looked after and happy.

Don't worry, your pets will get plenty of exercise, socialisation and of course lots of love and care with me! About: Growing up I've always had animals, including dogs, cats. I used to spend a few weeks a year with my family on my uncles farm helping out. I had a black lab cross, but lost him 2 years ago, he was beautiful although a little crazy, but loved long country walks and plenty of cuddles. I love the fact that we can actually relax in a home environment with your furry family members. Last year we lived in Brazil and rescued a sick dog and 5 abandoned kittens from the streets, we nursed them to health and they became part of the family, which is why it was tough letting them go, but our goal was to find loving new homes for them which we managed to do. About: I’m a vet student, but I’m currently taking a year out of study. I first started working in kennels just over three years ago and I’ve loved it! Working there has given me plenty of experience with a variety of breeds/temperaments I currently still work at kennels, but I’m on a zero hour contract. Winter tends to be very quiet, so I’ll be working fewer days. My availability therefore varies, but at the moment I’m available far more than normal How I care for your pet will vary depending on the individual’s needs, whether that be giving lots of cuddles, or someone who needs more space. Regardless of their personality, I will look after them as well as I can. I’ll make sure their needs are met (food, water, toilet breaks, ensuring everything is clean, exercise, etc). The details of what each pet needs can be discussed and planned on an individual basis. Unfortunately I cannot have any pets in my home because I have two cats who are very nervous, so it wouldn’t be fair on them.
About: I grew up with lots of animals like a tiny farm and since going to university, I have missed it :( I always go to my family house where there is 5 cats, 2 goldens and 10 chickens and 1 rabbit. About: I’m well versed in many animal having had big dogs since I was 1, cats always in the house, many fish and my own beaded dragon. My dog now is 2 so I have very recent experience with training and taking care of young dogs as well as the needs of old dogs and cats. At the moment I am full time at the Buttercross in Oakham my shifts usually start at 5pm untill close (usually 10pm) meaning I am around all day to take care of my pets, this usually means a walk in the morning for our Weimaraner ziggy and one at lunch as well as keeping him company during the day. Wompy about cat is quite outdoorsy and like to spend most of her time outside if she’s not somewhere sleeping in a laundry basket. I have quite an anxious and reactive dog who doesn’t love to be left alone for too long. Having crate trained him since a puppy has helped him get the important rest he needs so that he is calmer though out the day. I have lots of toys and enrichment activities for him and our family cat and would be happy to entertain your dog or other animals as you need. Having had many animals during my life I’m verses in many different diets from young to old and exotic to common I’m not easily phased and am happy to follow your example with your pets to keep them happy

About: I am a Dog Trainer, with a Level 4 certification. I started my career with dogs volunteering in a Grey Hound Rehome Kennel and then became a Dog Handler in 2020, since then I have completed my Dog Trainer qualification and have trained numerous working dogs in different specialised roles, from Search to Police. I currently own a retired working dog, called Rocco, a 6 year old LabX and a Belgian Malinois, Arya, who is a year old. My dogs are very well behaved and tolerant of all temperaments. They are a playful, high-energy bunch however will respect a dogs space if they are more timid. My daily work as a Dog Trainer includes addressing behavioural cases, from reactivity to human aggression cases and troubleshooting handler issues. I have aided with pet and sport dog owners providing guidance on obedience, tracking and scent-work training. Experienced with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. I have a very flexible schedule at the moment so can give my full attention to the dogs in my care. I am available weekends and most days with prior confirmation. I have a two bedroom house with an enclosed garden, all fences are 6 ft high other than one side, which is slightly over 3ft and both neighbours either side have dogs. They are friendly, often playing and interacting with my two dogs through the fence. I have space for my dogs to be crated separately from any visiting.

“I picked up our Boston Terrier, Edie, today after an overnight stay with Simon, and it was another very positive experience. Once again, I found him to be highly responsible, professional, and kind. He was eager to learn about Edie's habits, likes, and dislikes, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I provided a list of her commands, routine, and little quirks, but I felt that even if I had forgotten something, he would easily handle whatever came up. Simon was also incredibly helpful when I accidentally left a couple of Edie's things behind, generously offering some of his own for her to use. When I collected Edie, she was bright and happy, and they had just been outside playing in the garden together. Additionally, his house and neighbourhood are very safe environments. I didn't worry about her getting into trouble inside because his home is so organised and tidy. The neighbourhood has plenty of green space for walks and feels like a close-knit community. I have already booked Edie in for another overnight stay with Simon. I expect it will go just as well, and I know Edie will be happy to see him again!”
