“This was our first and definitely not our last experience of booking a sitter. After the initial communication we arranged a visit to ensure Bonnie would feel happy to stay away for the night. The sitters were friendly, attentive and showed a great love for dogs. We would definitely recommend anyone to book and would have no concerns to have Bonnie stay here again. Thank you for taking good care of Bonnie while we went to watch Oasis.”

I’m available for boarding at any time of the day and can fit their routine around my schedule. 🐾❤️ I take your dog’s safety and wellbeing very seriously. I have a large, fully fenced garden where they can enjoy plenty of secure outdoor time, and I always follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, routines and any specific needs. I am surrounded by plenty of green spaces and safe walking areas, giving dogs the opportunity to enjoy regular walks and exercise. I provide a calm, secure and loving home where your dog can feel safe, comfortable and well cared for.
“Carla and Jim looked after our dog Mila for us, they are really friendly & professional. They welcomed Mila into their home with their dog Marlow and she couldn’t have settled better. Carla and Jim looked after Mila perfectly, they sent us regular updates and photos of how Mila was getting on, so whilst we were away we knew that Mila was safe and happy. We would highly recommend Carla and Jim, they are caring, kind, thoughtful and really accommodating. We will definitely be using Carla and Jim again as we feel completely happy and safe leaving our dogs with them. Thank you again x”

“Tom had Stanley while we were away in Majorca and it was clear from the pupdates he was enjoying his holiday as well!! Tom was even kind enough to give him a bit of a pamper which he hates at home!!!! I would have no hesitation in booking Tom again and highly recommend him if your fur baby needs looking after while you’re away. Thanks 🤩 🐾”

“Bertie our Cocker Spaniel has just returned from a weeks stay with Evellin and Gabrielle, he has had the best time and been thoroughly spoilt! This was our first time using Rover and I was a little apprehensive but Evellin put me totally at ease, we had a meet and greet session at their beautiful home and within minutes Bertie was comfortable enough to be lying on his back for a belly rub. Great communication and pictures whilst away. Bertie is already looking forward to his next visit. Thank you”

She kept us up to date with pictures throughout the stay and our dog Cleo clearly enjoyed her stay. We will definitely book her again for future stays! :-)”

“We couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter! We had to find someone at the last minute while we were abroad, and she was absolutely amazing. She took such great care of our cats, kept us updated, and gave us complete peace of mind. We could even see on our camera how comfortable and happy our cats were around her – they clearly loved her! We are so grateful for all her help and would recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pets.”

About: Cats have always had a very special place in my heart. I’ve shared my life with four wonderful cats, including one who was truly my world, and I understand the unique bond people have with their feline companions. I have experience caring for cats with different personalities and needs, from feeding and keeping routines to providing comfort, play, and companionship. I’ve also looked after other people’s cats both drops in and overnight stays and understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for them while you’re away. I know cats can be very individual, so I always take the time to let them come to me, respect their space, and make sure they feel safe, happy and loved.
“Kayleigh was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, caring, and very cooperative throughout the whole process. Communication was excellent, and she made us feel completely at ease knowing our pet was in such good hands. We would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you, Kayleigh!”

“Irina was very helpful and cooperative and took good care of our furry boys while we were away. She was responsive to messages and easy to communicate with, and everything was handled as arranged. We appreciate her support and thank her for looking after them.”

About: I’m Reese, 19 and absolutely adore animals, cats in particular! I own 3 cats ages 3-12 and I have had cats my whole life! I currently work in education so am looking for a small job doing something I love on the side! I have a full DBS check as I currently work in education. I can also drive and have a car so happy to travel wherever!

About: We are an animal loving family, who have owned and fostered a variety of different pets. We owned and fostered cats and were able to help deliver to litters of kittens during this time. I am a stay at home mum, to a wonderful animal savy seven year old and we currently have 2 miniature dachshunds and 3 ponies. I always hated going away and leaving our cats behind, specially as they hated the cattery so much, unfortunately we found out my daughters allergic to cat dandruff, so we had to rehome our cats after months of trying to make it work. So I understand the anexity of leaving your babies with someone coming to check in on them and we love taking pictures so we will send lots of lovely updates about how they are doing. we are missing having cat cuddles so are happy to check in and love your cats in your own home but will not be able to take cats in our home due to my daughters allergies.
About: I am currently looking after a dog for a friend on a weekly basis, often going to the park, looking after him overnight, and sometimes day trips. I have raised my family dog since he was a puppy, so am fully aware of what that entails. When I go back home, I walk and take care of him. I live with my boyfriend who has had cats in the past, so I am used to having them in the house and how to take care of them. With this, I have lots of experience of walking, feeding, bathing, and keeping pets happy! I'm currently working from home full-time, so can look after pets at any time! My hours are also very flexible so I'm able to go for walks during my working day. I live in a flat, with a secure back garden that is fenced in. The front door to the flat block is always kept locked. I am happy to do whatever is needed to keep your pet safe and happy!

About: We have previously had cats, patch who lived for over 20 years. We regularly look after and visit feed and clean up after my adult children’s pet cats whilst they are on holiday. Providing drop in visits, feeds, cleaning of litter trays, playtime and cuddles. Available for mornings, afternoons and evenings catering to you and your fur babies needs. About: My prices may be a little higher than some on Rover, but I am the ONLY licensed dog boarder on this site in Peterborough. This means that I am regulated by the Council who have inspected my property and approved me as a professional boarder/daycare provider, governed by DEFRA regulations. Licence Number 119691 Issued by Peterborough City Council. Please use this link to receive £15 off your first booking with me…. https://www.rover.com/sit/lynnd34729 Please ensure any dog boarder or doggy daycare provider that you use, is licensed by the local Council. If they don’t display a license number, they haven’t got one !!! Any insurance that they may hold (including any that Rover give) will be invalidated….as any insurance will be, that you have. Don’t take the chance of something happening to your furbaby ! Ask to see the license…..to make sure. At Dixons dog sitters, we are BIG softies for all animals....but especially for dogs. I have owned and looked after dogs of my own now, for over 40 years and the profile photo shows our pup...7 year old Polly. I have now professionally looked after other peoples dogs for 4 years. I have full public liability insurance. I also hold a pet first aid certificate and a diploma in pet care. Our dog, Polly is such a fun little girl, who loves to play. Polly can sometimes be bossy with younger dogs, but once settled down they quickly form very close friendship bonds. She shares her toys, her home, her owners…and even her food with her new doggy friends. I am semi retired and work part time from home, so I am available 24/7 to pamper and care for your fur baby. Paul (my Husband) works nights, so is up and around from lunchtime every day, so there is ALWAYS someone at home. Your dog will never be left alone, and when it is too hot or too wet to go outside, there are always lots of toys to play with. They will DEFINITELY get spoiled when they holiday with Aunty Lynn and Uncle Paul ! We will care for small to medium sized dogs that fit the following criteria. However, we do occasionally take on bigger dogs (lurchers, labradors etc) Your dog needs to be socialised with other dogs. Not be aggressive in any way. Walk nicely on the lead. Be able to sleep alone or with other dogs. Please take a look at some of the reviews left by owners. Dixons dog sitters holds £2million public liability insurance and we will take care of your fur baby, as well as we take care of our own. I always insist on a meet and greet before your dog comes to stay. This will reassure you, that our house is a safe, secure, clean and loving environment. You get to meet our dog and any other dogs that are staying at the time. This makes the whole process so much easier to handle for everyone concerned. I know how stressful it can be, to leave your pets with anyone, other than family. We will never take dogs out in the heat of the day, or when it is raining heavily and won't let them off lead, unless told that they can be trusted to not run away. We have a large secure garden with shaded areas to play in, and enjoy indoor playtime and enrichment activities, when we are unable to go out for a walk, due to adverse weather conditions. We allow all dogs the full run of the house.....but have a barrier at the bottom of the stairs, and at the entrance to the kitchen, where they can be contained, if we open the front door. We are getting electric gates fitted soon. Every aspect is covered to keep them safe, secure and happy, whilst they are in my care. We always send lots of updates and photos to reassure owners. I am licensed to board 5 dogs at a time, so your dog needs to be well socialised and toilet trained. All dogs are walked once/twice a day....weather and ability dependant. All dogs are let out into our large secured garden to play, or go to the toilet every hour or so. In the Summer months, the back door is left open, so they can come and go as they please. Their last toilet break is usually around midnight. Your fur baby will become part of our family whilst you are away. There are no favourites in this household, and no forbidden areas. Everyone is treated the same. If Polly goes for a walk, so does your dog. If Polly gets a treat, so does your dog. You can enjoy your time away, knowing that your fur baby will not just be taken care of….they will be loved. Please read my testimonials. Lynn is semi retired and works from home and Paul works nights, so is up and about from lunchtime onwards. There is always at least one of us at home. We have a large private and secure garden where dogs can run and play. Enrichment activities are part of the day and walkies are twice daily. We have a barrier that is placed at the bottom of the stairs and a barrier to contain any dogs whilst we answer the front door.

“I had a great experience with Carla and Jim! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care. From the start, they were incredibly friendly and approachable, which immediately put me at ease. They arranged a meet and greet beforehand, which was a really thoughtful touch and helped both me and my dog feel comfortable before the stay as it was my first time using Rover. During the time they were looking after my dog, they provided regular updates and photos, which was so reassuring and showed how well my dog was being cared for. It was clear that my dog was happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention. I really appreciated the level of care and communication throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Carla and Jim again and would definitely recommend them to other dog owners looking for someone trustworthy and kind to look after their pet! Thank you!”

About: Myself and my husband are experienced dog owners, and have been around dogs our whole lives. We are happy to consider any dog breed and can handle large or small dogs. We had an Alaskan Malamute weighing 48kgs in her prime, sadly we lost her in August at 14 years old, so no trouble handling big and stubborn breeds! We do have a 14 year old cockerpoo called Alfie who is very tolerant and misses his companion - therefore dogs coming to us must be okay with other dogs. He is neutered. We have a loving family home with husband and wife team and grown up children who are always happy to play with dogs walk, entertain, exercise etc (children are 16, 19, 22 and are dog lovers like us!) We have a large enclosed garden for dogs to roam around in and are a cat free home. Boarding and doggy day care welcome, we often go to the seaside too, so if you pooch likes the beach they'd be welcome to come with us if they can travel in the car okay. Happy to answer any questions, or set up a meet and greet with your furbaby. I work part time 3 days a week and my husband works from home full time, so there is always someone around to keep you dog company and give them the love and care they need. Evenings and weekends we have 3 grown up children that are dog lovers like us, and are more than happy to help keep your dog entertained (children are 22, 19, 16 so not little kids). We have a large secure fenced garden for dogs to roam around in as they please. There is always someone at home. We have a 14 year old cockerpoo who misses his companion who we lost this year. He is a gentlemen. Happy to crate if needed, though we do not have a crate at the moment so this will need to be provided.
“Many thanks Tom and your lovely family, for taking good care of Daisy yesterday. Our labradoodle is 11 now and it’s the 1st occasion we have left her with Tom. He sent through some lovely photos of Daisy with the children, which was very reassuring and gave us the confidence to know that she had settled in and will be fine when we leave her again. Hopefully next time the weather will be less soggy for your walks !”
About: I’ve struggled myself to find the right home to look after my precious boys. I offer a home from home setting where your dog(s) will receive lots of cuddles and lots of playtime. We have two male cockapoos, one of which is of senior age. We have previously had Great Danes (gorgeous breed) and have grown up round a variety of breeds. We have two children age 10 and 13 who have grown up around animals and absolutely love dogs and if your dog wants to run around with smaller humans they’re all for it. I work from home part time so I’m available for cuddles on the sofa and they can play freely with open access to the enclosed garden. We will accommodate so that everything is familiar to what they are used to for example sleeping in the kitchen, sleeping in a bedroom, being on furniture and so forth. We have a Vets locally who our dogs are registered with and plenty of green areas for dogs to have good walks. Any questions please feel free to ask. I know they are your babies and we will take great care of them. I work from home part time and I’m kept company by my two cockerpoos; one who is old and quite happily chills and the other who is seven and can always be encouraged to play. We have a secure enclosed garden where they will have access to play freely. We have lots of walks and greenery close by so they don’t have to do the same route all the time and can adapt the walks we take to your dogs needs.
“Exceptional. Samba is a rescue and has a few little quirks. Charlotte was very understanding and happily went at Samba’s pace. Spent their time together cuddling which is Samba’s favourite thing to do. I would happily use Charlotte again and recommend her care. Thank you again.”

“Penelope had a fantastic stay at Lynn’s after I had to drop into London for work. The house and garden were fantastic spaces with plenty of room for play and quiet time. Lynn was great at communicating and it was evident how she absolutely loves animals from how comfortable Penelope made herself!”

“Effy has an amazing time ever week and although I was nervous about leaving her, that has completely disappeared now! Effy will be visiting weekly for the foreseeable future. She is looked after so well, I am kept up to date with pictures and I know she is cared for as well as she could be at home. So glad I found Eszter she is fantastic!”

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and being around them is just part of my everyday routine. At home we have two very friendly Eastern European Shepherds, so I’m very used to living with large breeds and helping with feeding, brushing, playtime, and keeping dogs calm and happy. My parents have lots of experience with dogs, and my dad is an IMDT‑qualified puppy instructor, so I’ve learned a lot from being involved in training sessions and understanding different dog personalities. It’s taught me how to stay confident, gentle, and patient with all kinds of dogs. I’m currently home from uni, which means I have plenty of time to devote to looking after dogs like walking, drop‑ins, or giving them a safe, comfy area in our 3 storey house, away from the shepherds if needed. There are also lovely woodland paths and fields close to our home, so dogs get plenty of chances for fun walks. If you’re looking for someone who’s grown up in a dog‑experienced home, is confident with small and large breeds, with lots of time to give your dog attention and care, I’d love to help! I'm currently at home from university, so I am free any day of the week to look after your dogs and available for boarding/walking any time! We have a fenced garden and a very dog friendly household where your dog will be treated like a member of the family. There are lovely walks nearby and your fur baby will get lots of attention and plenty of cuddles while they're here!
“Winnie’s stay with Brett and his little ones was a complete success, and ask expected she is now sound asleep! Brett’s home and garden are perfect for your pooch and your peace of mind. Highly recommended and will be returning next week.”

“Christina and her family are incredible! We were on a trip to the north when we stopped in town to see a show with our daughter! We needed someone to look after our pups last minute and I couldn’t be more thankful that we stumbled upon Christina’s profile! Christina came and met us at the theatre as we were running late and collected the dogs, was very understanding and helpful, kept us updated on how the dogs were with pictures and texts and even had the kids playing with our pups! If I’m completely honest, I think the dogs were sad to be leaving as they’d had so much fun! If we are ever in the area again, I will definitely use Christina again!!”

“We felt comfortable that Lenny would be well looked after from the moment we dropped him off. When we picked him up, he was happy and tired, so had obviously had a very good day”

“Today Oscar visited us again, my dogs recognised him immediately and were very happy of seeing him again. This time after walking my 2 boxers together he also helped me to teach them how to use a special stair for the car boot which I have recently purchased. I can tell that the whole experience was very positive. I learn a lot from Oscar every time on how to interact with my dogs, how to create an easy going environment for the future. Visibly he has a wealth of knowledge on training dogs and control them with kindness, calmness and good energy.”
“Hi Irina...it was a pleasure meeting you. Simba enjoyed his walks very much. Irina always used to come with a smile on her face and Simba used to be thrilled seeing her. She took good take care of our baby. We are very thankful for all your help. Hope to see you soon. We are your permanent customer for now on. Kind regards”

About: I have always had a strong love for animals, especially dogs, as I grew up surrounded by lots of different pets. Being around animals from a young age has helped me develop a natural understanding of how to care for them, be patient with them, and make sure they feel safe, happy and comfortable. My experience as a dog sitter is something I really enjoy because I love spending time with dogs and getting to know their individual personalities and needs. I understand the importance of giving them plenty of attention, exercise, fresh air and companionship while their owners are away. One of my favourite parts of dog sitting is taking dogs out for walks. I enjoy giving them the opportunity to explore, exercise and have fun, while also benefiting from being outdoors myself. Going for regular walks with a dog helps me stay active and supports my own health and wellbeing, making it something that I find both enjoyable and rewarding. Overall, looking after dogs is something I am passionate about. Growing up with pets, combined with my experience caring for animals, has taught me to be responsible, caring and attentive. I would always treat someone else's dog with the same care and respect that I would give to my own pets. Working from home allows me to provide dogs with the attention, care and companionship they need throughout the day. Because I work remotely, I have the flexibility to take regular breaks to feed them, let them outside, give them attention and take them out for walks. Being at home also means dogs are not left alone for long periods of time, which can help them feel more comfortable and settled. I can easily fit walks and playtime around my working schedule while still making sure my work commitments are met. I really enjoy being around dogs while I work, and I believe my home-based routine is ideal for dog sitting. It allows me to give each dog plenty of care and attention while providing a safe, calm and loving environment for them. Although my garden is on the smaller side, it is fully fenced and provides a safe and secure space for dogs to have regular toilet breaks and get some fresh air throughout the day. I understand that the garden is not intended to replace proper walks and exercise, but it is a convenient and secure space for quick toilet breaks whenever needed. I also live next to a beautiful bank and walking area, which is perfect for giving dogs plenty of exercise and outdoor stimulation. I regularly take my family’s dog there for walks and really enjoy spending time outdoors with him. The area provides a lovely environment for dogs to explore, get some exercise and enjoy their surroundings. Having both a secure garden and such a beautiful walking area nearby means I can provide dogs with regular toilet breaks, exercise and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

About: Taking care of my own dog since 10 years old, and been passionate and happy taking care of relatives and neighbours dogs and throughout growing up! Id love to ensure a comforting time for your doggies while you’re away, with the familiarity of their own homes combined with regular playtimes, walkies and cuddles to ensure no lonely or anxious thoughts when you’re away!

I understand that every pet is an individual, and I always take the time to build trust and make them feel at ease. I’m available for lunchtime visits and walks, as well as after-work appointments, making it easier to fit around your pet’s routine. I understand that keeping their normal routine is important, so I take the time to follow their usual feeding, walking and care schedule. During visits, I’ll provide companionship, playtime, feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, and plenty of attention. For cats, I’ll respect their individual personalities and give them space if they need it while making sure they feel safe and cared for.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life, i have grown up with them from a young girl and enjoyed every aspect of what they bring to life. The playing, walks, even conversation’s. Any dog I look after I build a friendship with. I am familiar with training techniques and tools but ideally aim for a dog to have the best time. I have a home where I can offer your pet a good sized garden with plenty of toys, a home where they are free to roam and treat it like their own. I currently work from home so I have time to look after my own Labrador and would to help people look after there’s too. I understand all to well how difficult it can be to balance work, life, pets, children etc. even if you just fancy a day out with you’re dog being looked after. I walk my labrador 3 times a day and we take many different scenic walks, or sometimes a play in the garden and a run. I have a good sized garden, which backs on to fields and surrounding by walls. I am in a quiet location where you can be assured they will be relaxed. I am able to crate/seperate some dogs if necessary. I can also travel to the owners home for drop ins, walks, plays or just some company

“Shaun and Jackie were very accommodating for my dog Olives 1st visit. Olive was made to feel at ease and appears to have settled in as part of their family. We felt confident and were provided with updates over her visit. Olive will return to Shaun and Jackie’s on a regular basis and we are confident she is well looked after and safe. If people are looking for a great dog sitter, we would highly recommend Shaun and Jackie.”

“Honestly cannot recommend Carmen and her family any more. Our Doberman Derek always has THE most Fabulous time with them and Luna, making new friends and getting absolutely spoilt rotten. He sulks everytime we pick him up. Absolutely wonderful host, thank you!”

“I picked Rummy up from his most recent stay with Kane. As per usual, Rummy had the best time. I don't think he wanted to leave just yet! Kane and Stephen treat Rummy as their own and I recieve daily updates when i'm away. The relief knowing my boy is safe and sound is priceless when i'm on holiday. For me, Kane is the only option outside of family that I would consider when I need someone to have Rummy.”

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience caring for dogs with different needs and personalities. I've confidently looked after multiple dogs at the same time and have experience providing longer-term care, including looking after dogs for three weeks while their owners were away in Canada. I understand how important it is for dogs to feel safe, comfortable, and loved when their family is away.I enjoy keeping dogs active and engaged, tailoring their care to suit their breed, age, and energy levels. For dogs that enjoy adventure, I love taking them on longer walks and exploring new places, giving them plenty of exercise, stimulation, and fun. I treat every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they receive lots of attention, affection, and the highest standard of care. I work from home 4-5 days a week and then don’t work weekends. I can look after dogs whilst working, after work, before work and at the weekends. I do this with my own dog. By feeding them, playing with them, checking in on them, rubbing their bellies and stroking/cuddling them. Creating a safe and cosy place for them to feel comfy and at home.
“We felt very comfortable with Helen for taking care of our dog Ruby. Ruby felt quite at home. We enjoyed getting updates of their walks. Will definately use Helen again.”

“Eleni, is just a dream. From initial contact she was proactive with her responses, accommodating and very welcoming. Frieda is a very shy dog with strangers, but within seconds, she was wagging her tail, trying to get kisses and cuddles. She settled into the house very quickly. I do believe this was due to the warm and kind aura Eleni gives. Freida had a very nice time over her weekend stay. With lots of reassurance for me with photo and video updates, kept my mind at rest. When it was time for Freida to come home, she didn't want to leave an ran upstairs to hide lol....that's how much she enjoyed her stay. We will definitely be using Eleni again, and i highly recommend her. Thank you Eleni, i will message you shortly to discuss future stays. Thank you Charlie & Freida xxx”

“Sarah and her daughter were absolutely wonderful with our pug!! Providing us pictures everyday and they have a great park near their house where Luna was able to play! Highly recommend!!”
