They’re big, they’re slobbery, and they eat as much as a whole family of dogs. But owners of big dogs like Great Danes, St. Bernards and Newfoundlands know that although living with their large dog contains a unique set of challenges, it’s totally worth it. Here’s a tongue-in-cheek look at why having a large dog is not for the faint hearted.
Mealtimes are suitably epic. Can you picture the washing up?
“Aww what a cute little puppy, I wanna squish him.” said no-one ever.
The only clothes that fit them are XXL.
They need constant reassurance that they’re just big-boned.

Their tongues are the size of your arm.
The couch is for humans? We don’t think so.

Some big dogs don’t quite understand how big they are.
Their tails should come with a health and safety warning.
They are often known to be lazy bones.
But there’s no denying they’re adorable.
