13 Mixed Breed Dogs Prove That Love Is Love

In perhaps the greatest love story ever written, the Montagues and Capulets were two warring families, but Romeo and Juliet defied their families and proved to everyone that love is love. They proved it doesn’t matter who your parents are, love is still love, even if your parents are totally different dog breeds.

What better way to prove this than to show you the most gorgeous pictures of cross-breed doggos we could find on the interwebs. Because a dog’s love knows no bounds.

1. Look into those eyes and tell us you don’t believe in love.

This dog is a wonderful mix of Cocker Spaniel, Siberian Husky and German Shepherd. See, love won’t stop just because of different breeds.

2. This gorgeous Golden Doxie will make you believe in cross-breed love.

3. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to this guy’s mysterious mixed parents?

Source

That’ll be a very loved-up Bernese Mountain Dog and a besotted Chow Chow who couldn’t keep their paws off each other!

4. Scarlett the Cava-poo is possibly this most precious pupper you’ll see all day.

5. This adorbs little gansta is a possible Jack Russell and Staffie mix pup.

6. This guy knows he’s the goodest boy, even if we don’t know who his parents are.

Source

He’s got some Rottweiler in him, that’s for sure.

7. Now what do you call a Cavalier-King-Charles-Spaniel-Bichon-Frise mix?

Source

Cute, that’s what. (The popular term for this mix is a Cavachon!)

8. This guy’s parents gave him some totally adorable facial markings, not to mention buckets of cute!

Source

9. Look! This Peke-Chin’s front legs made a heart!

10. Dominic has some obvious Shar Pei genes, but can you guess what his other parent was?

Source

Yep, that’s right! A Boston Terrier. (We wouldn’t have guessed that either!)

11. Another rescued mixed breed puppy – this one’s a Chug.

Source

His parents were a Chihuahua and a Pug.

12. Who says wet dogs are gross? This Staffie-Lab mix melts our hearts.

Source

13. Russy the Bichon-Frise-Pug-mix (Puchon for short!) – who can deny that love is love?

Source

And last but not least, we can’t work out what this mix-breed is but he’s just too cute to leave off the list.

Many of the mixed breed pups we’ve highlighted here are rescue dogs, so it’s difficult to know for sure who the parents are. We’re supporting the RSPCA to continue their efforts to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs who’ve been abandoned or mistreated. You can find out more about how we’re supporting the RSPCA here and how you can get involved, too!

And if you need a loving dog sitter to step in when you’re in a jam, Rover.com has lots of amazing sitters who offer dog boarding and who’ll happily spend lots of quality time with your dog.
