Over: Als kind hebben we een familie hond gehad. Nu ik op mijzelf woon in Rotterdam Zuid, lijkt het mij leuk en gezellig om af en toe op een hond te kunnen passen. Ik heb een ruime tuin en verschillende uitlaat plekken bij mij in de buurt. Stuur gerust een berichtje. Ik werk fulltime met 1 vaste kantoordag, namelijk de dinsdag. Ik heb vaak geen weekend plannen en ben door de weeks veel thuis. Hierdoor kan ik ook door de weeks beschikbaar zijn als oppas. Ik woon alleen op de begane grond in een woning van ongeveer 50m2, hiernaast heb ik ook een ruime tuin, met hekken. In de buurt is het zuiderpark waar je lekker kan wandelen.
Over: Ik ben opgegroeid met een hond en mis het gezelschap soms nog steeds. Omdat ik niet vaak genoeg thuis ben voor een eigen hond, vind ik het heel leuk om af en toe op een hond te passen. Ik zorg graag voor lange wandelingen, aandacht, spelletjes en natuurlijk veel knuffels, zodat jouw hond zich helemaal thuis voelt. Ik werk fulltime, maar wel dicht bij huis. Met name in de avonden en weekenden heb ik tijd om op een hond te passen of een hond uit te laten. Ik woon in een fijn appartement met balkon op Noordereiland. Wel op de derde verdieping en zonder lift, dus traplopen of optillen is wel een eis. Uitlaten kan natuurlijk altijd!
Over: Vanaf mijn 13e tot ik uit huis ging, had mijn vader een fokkerij (boxers) en kwamen we meermaals per week bij de hondenclub waar we onze eigen honden - en de honden van anderen - trainden. Op mijn 14e deed ik voor het eerst zelf mee aan een wedstrijd (VZH, voor de kenners), waarbij baasjes en hun honden laten zien hoe gehoorzaam de hond is. Ik ben dus écht opgegroeid met honden, zowel die al goed luisteren, als die... Een steuntje in de rug nodig hadden ;-). Ik heb geen probleem met angstige of getraumatiseerde honden, slopers of agressievelingen word ik een stuk minder gelukkig van. Mocht je specifieke regels gehandhaafd willen zien, laat het mij gewoon weten en dan zorgen we samen dat jouw hond lekker consistent blijft! Op maandag en woensdag werk ik thuis, en van vrijdag tot en met zondag heb ik weekend! In de zomer werk ik normaliter de hele week thuis, stuur vooral even een berichtje om te kijken wat er mogelijk is. Uiteraard heb ik in de weekenden regelmatig sociale afspraken gepland, maar een week van tevoren weet ik zeker wat er mogelijk is. Ik heb geen buitenruimte (behalve een balkon), maar als een hond bij mij verblijft, zorg ik ervoor dat die in ieder geval 3 keer per dag een rondje buiten loopt. Ik woon in een buurt met veel andere honden, dus tijdens een rondje wandelen zal je hond met andere hondjes in aanraking komen. Je hond is altijd aangelijnd, los lopen is in mijn buurt geen optie. Ik woon in een appartement (~45m2) dus je hondje kan alleen bij mij blijven als hij niet heel veel beweegruimte nodig heeft. Honden mogen niet op meubels (bank/stoelen) of in de slaapkamer. Gelukkig zit ik zelf graag op de grond, dus knuffels komen ze niet zo snel tekort :)

We wonen op de eerste etage in een mooie groene buurt, de balkonzijde van de woning is heel rustig en zonnig. We zijn flexibel en kijken naar wat uw huisdier nodig heeft, en wat goed is voor hem/haar.

Over: Mijn hobby is mezelf verdiepen in diergedrag en het zo goed mogelijk inspelen op de behoeften van huisdieren. Zo test ik bij mijn eigen katten regelmatig nieuwe voerpuzzels en zorg ervoor dat ze voldoende (nieuwe) verstopplekjes hebben. Hondentraining heb ik altijd leuk gevonden. Niet alleen het basislijstje, zoals: zit, hier en volgen. Juist ook zoekspelletjes, apporteren en trucjes leren. Het verbetert de band met je hond en zorgt ervoor dat hij uitgedaagd wordt en blijft. Een tijd lang gaf ik hondentraining bij een vereniging, daar kwamen alle rassen en mixen voorbij. Daarnaast hebben we van huis uit veel opgepast en gewandeld met allerlei honden uit de buurt. Kennis van rassen en hun behoeften is dus ruim aanwezig :) Ik werk vanuit huis en heb de mogelijkheid dat flexibel in te delen. Dat geeft de mogelijkheid om bijvoorbeeld extra lang te wandelen met jouw hond of wat langer jouw kat gezelschap te houden. Een uitlaatronde kan worden aangevuld met training, het aanleren van trucjes, apporteren of zoekspelletjes. Wil je juist dat er langer gewandeld wordt met jouw hond? Dan kan dat natuurlijk ook :) In beperkte mate is oppas bij mij thuis mogelijk, mits jouw hond sociaal is met katten en de hond niet te groot is. Zoek je iemand die jouw kat(-ten) extra liefde en aandacht geeft? Ik heb er zelf 2 en heb de nodige oppaservaring. Iedere kat is anders en in overleg met jou bepalen we hoe we ze het beste kunnen verzorgen en vermaken wanneer jij er niet bent. Inzet van voerpuzzels, verstoppen van snoepjes, omwisselen van speeltjes. Ik denk graag met je mee.

Over: Ik ben 18 jaar en heb zelf al 5 jaar een Labrador, Sky. Vanaf dat ze een pup was heb ik haar samen met mijn moeder opgevoed. We zijn met haar naar puppycursus geweest, dus ik heb ook echt geleerd hoe je een hond goed en consequent opvoedt. Sky heeft epilepsie en krijgt daar dagelijks medicatie voor. Daardoor heb ik ervaring met het geven van pilletjes en weet ik hoe belangrijk het is om rustig te blijven en goed op te letten. Gelukkig gaat het heel goed met haar. Wat mij denk ik onderscheidt, is dat ik echt kijk naar wat een hond nodig heeft. De ene hond wil lekker spelen en rennen, de ander heeft meer rust nodig. Ik ben geduldig, zorgzaam en neem de verantwoordelijkheid serieus. Honden voelen voor mij niet als “werk”, maar gewoon als iets wat ik met liefde doe. Ik kan oppassen goed combineren met mijn dagelijkse planning. Omdat ik zelf een hond heb, ben ik gewend aan vaste uitlaattijden, voeren, spelen en aandacht geven. Dat zit al helemaal in mijn routine. Ik werk graag duidelijk en maak goede afspraken met baasjes, zodat iedereen weet waar hij of zij aan toe is. Voor mij staat veiligheid altijd op nummer één. Ik behandel elke hond alsof het mijn eigen hond is. Ik luister goed naar de wensen van het baasje en volg instructies zorgvuldig op, bijvoorbeeld rondom voeding, medicatie of wandelgewoontes. Omdat ik ervaring heb met een hond die iets extra zorg nodig heeft, ben ik alert en oplettend. Ik zorg voor rust, duidelijkheid en een fijne sfeer. Als ik bij het baasje thuis oppas, zorg ik dat de hond zich veilig en vertrouwd voelt in zijn eigen omgeving. En natuurlijk stuur ik met liefde updates of foto’s als dat fijn wordt gevonden.

Over: Hi! I'm Jess and I am a dog mom to 12-year-old Siberian Husky, Luna. She is a sweet, energetic, confident dog who loves all kinds of people and other dogs. She has lived and traveled all over the U.S. (over 20 states!) and now has made her way with us across the ocean to The Netherlands. Even before becoming a Rover sitter, I cared for friends' and neighbors' dogs on many occasions including a beagle, a husky and a golden retriever and grew up with shih tzu and a cockapoo, who I loved to play with and walk around the neighborhood. Before moving to The Netherlands, we most recently lived in Richmond, Virginia and enjoyed walking the many urban hiking trails and parks together. Since I started pet sitting through Rover, I have stayed with and looked after all of different kinds of pups including senior pups, puppies, and all different sizes of dogs from toy to large. I’ve also cared for other caged pets in the same home like rabbits when needed. I care for them all like they are my very own Luna girl. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it takes to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. Hourly rates are as follows: 8am-5pm: €10/hr 5pm-10pm: €12/hr 10pm-8am: €16/hr Holidays & Weekends: €18/hr *veterinary emergency room visit wait times can exceed 8 hours on weekends and holidays Cleaning & Vehicle Damage Policy: If pet sitter is required to clean up bodily fluids due to illness (vomit, urine, blood, diarrhea, etc) in order to maintain a safe environment in your home, their own home, or their personal vehicle, a one-time fee of €40 will be applied to your booking. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner.

Ondertussen heb ik een eigen hond samen met mijn partner Sil, Frida een border collie. Samen trekken we er graag op uit, de natuur in om te wandelen. Als uw huisdier bij ons thuis verblijft dan delen ik en mijn partner de zorg over uw dier. Sil heeft veel ervaring met veel verschillende honden, heeft bij een hondenschool en dagopvang gewerkt. Of uw huisdier jong of oud is, of op een andere manier speciale aandacht nodig heeft, dat is geen enkel probleem. Momenteel studeer ik, daarnaast heb ik genoeg tijd om voor uw huisdier te zorgen, en anders springt mijn partner bij als het nodig is. We wandelen meerdere keren per dag met onze hond Frida dus als het te combineren valt is helemaal mooi meegenomen. En om voor katten in hun eigen woonomgeving te verzorgen is altijd mogelijk. We wonen op de eerste etage in een mooie groene buurt, de balkonzijde van de woning is heel rustig en zonnig. We zijn flexibel en kijken naar wat uw huisdier nodig heeft, en wat goed is voor hem/haar.

Over: II’ve grown up surrounded by more than 10 cats and 5 dogs throughout my life. While I currently do not have pets of my own for now (due to traveling), I’ve gained plenty of recent experience through pet sitting and walking. Over the past 5 years, I’ve looked after Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Chow Chows, Corgis, Pomeranians, Bull Terriers, German Shepherds, and mixed breeds. I, together with my flatmate Christina, offer boarding, walking, and house sitting for both cats and dogs (2 sitters for the price of 1). Our usual walking schedule includes mornings, after work, and evenings after dinner. Please note that we work from the office 3x a week, but we make sure pets still get plenty of attention and exercise. Our apartment is quite large (110 sq m) so there is enough space for your pets to roam/run around.
