Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. At the daycare facility, I comfortably handled groups of up to ten dogs of varying breeds, sizes, and temperaments on walks in the local woodlands. As demand grew, I expanded my services to include house and pet sitting across several nearby villages and towns. Over the years, I have cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I am also happy to tend to gardens or house plants when needed. After moving to Utrecht for my studies, I began offering my own dog walking and pet sitting services to pet owners that I met in the city or at surrounding walking spots. During my time in Utrecht, I also worked for a local hondenuitlaat service, which gave me experience with a lot of common (and some less common) Dutch breeds. Tijdens thuiswerkdagen lopen we een wat kleiner rondje, rond de 30 min. Vlakbij ons huis kunnen we fijn het bos in, waar de hond ook los kan (als die oké is natuurlijk). Op vrije dagen doen we hetzelfde en doen we vaak nog een grote ronde in de Soesterduinen. We hebben zelf een Jack Russel die goed gaat met andere honden en het heel gezellig vindt als er een vriendje bij is zo nu en dan. Als je hond langer komt logeren is het fijn als zij even kennis kunnen maken van tevoren. We hebben een grote tuin waar de hond de hele dag lekker in kan rennen en relaxen en we lopen 1 a 2 keer een grote ronde door het bos met jouw hond. Net wat er nodig is! Goed om te weten: we hebben kippen. Dus het is belangrijk dat jouw hond hiermee om kan gaan (en niet onder de ren zal graven/volle focus daarop heeft). De tuin is volledig omheind, dus daar kan de hond lekker loslopen. Hij mag de hele dag van binnen naar buiten lopen en we houden hem goed in de gaten natuurlijk!

I keep numbers small on purpose so that your dog gets real attention, a proper routine, and someone who actually notices if something feels off. I use an intake form with every booking so I know your dog's routine, quirks, health needs, and what they're like with other dogs before anything is confirmed. No surprises for either of us. I am additionally comfortable with senior dogs who need calm over chaos and dogs with specific routines or sensitivities. I ask for: honest answers on the intake form and a quick meet-and-greet before boarding or sitting bookings. Pet care isn't something I fit around a busy schedule, it is the priority when I have a booking. I work from home, which means dogs in my care aren't left alone for long stretches during the day. Walks, feeding, rest, and outdoor time follow your dog's natural routine as closely as possible, not mine. I keep bookings small so I'm never stretched across too many dogs at once. My home is calm, dog-proofed, and already shared with 2 dogs of my own, so incoming dogs arrive into a settled environment. Before any boarding or sitting booking I use a detailed intake form covering health, behavior, feeding, and emergency contacts, plus a meet-and-greet to make sure it's a good fit. I use a signed agreement with every client. If something feels off with a dog during a stay such as appetite, energy, behavior, I notice and I communicate that. Owners hear from me with updates; they don't have to chase me for them.

Over: Ik heb sinds ik me kan herinneren een liefde voor dieren. Zo ben ik opgevoed en zo zit mijn familie in elkaar. Toen ik op mezelf ging wonen had ik een oudere kat genaamd Vegas geadopteerd, en toen kwam er corona en merkte ik dat zij het fijn vond dat er iemand altijd thuis was. Het werd tijd voor een maatje. Rio kwam bij ons wonen. Helaas werd Vegas heel erg ziek 2 jaar geleden en is ze er niet meer. De nu 6 jarige poes woont ondertussen samen met mij en Tommy, een mix Sharpei / Bosnische straathond van 2 jaar oud. Tommy is gevonden toen die nog geen 2 weken oud was en hij was er erg slecht aan toe. Hij mocht naar Nederland komen en nu is hij mijn leven. Hij is heel erg sociaal en kan goed zijn grenzen aangeven. Vooral met drukke jonge honden die sommige social ques nog niet helemaal doorhebben. Omdat ik 3 dagen in de week thuis werk en in het weekend vrij ben is er altijd ruimte om nog een hond in huis te nemen of om deze uit te laten. Ik ben geordend, streng, maar wel rechtvaardig. Belonen voor goed gedrag is dan ook het handvat met hoe ik werk bij mijn eigen hond. Ik zou het leuk vinden om met verschillende honden te mogen werken. Ook kan ik medicijnen toedienen (wel alleen pillen) en elke wandeling zoek ik weer een leuk rondje uit met nieuwe geurtjes. Ik werk 3 dagen in de week thuis, ik heb 3 kwartier lunchpauze en ik woon in een mooie omgeving waar leuk kan worden gewandeld. Tussendoor is er altijd ruimte om even te plassen buiten voor hoge nood. Na mijn werkdag is er gelijk weer tijd voor een lange wandeling. In het bos, of naar het hondenstrand of door de buurt heen waar ook een leuk park zit. Daarna kan er worden avond gegeten of je word gelijk opgehaald/naar huis gebracht. Ik woon in een appartement. Ik heb een balkon die volledig omheind is en er tussendoor een frisse neus kan worden gehaald. Als ik bij je langs moet komen om de hond uit te laten zal ik van te voren even een leuke route opzoeken die we kunnen wandelen.

Sebas was here for more then 2 weeks and all went well; he was happy and relaxed. She and her boyfriend are really nice and good people; we will definitely book again!”

Over: Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family had three dogs over the years, and I looked after each one from puppy all the way to senior age, including all the extra care and patience that comes with an older dog. Most recently, I took care of a dog that needed daily medicine and treatment for a ripped paw pad, so I'm comfortable with health routines too, not just walks. I've also worked as a dog walker and sitter, and whether it's your dog or my own, I treat them all the same way: like family. As a freelancer, I mostly work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day. That means I can fit in walks, feedings, or check-ins at times that actually work for your schedule, not just early mornings or evenings. It also means I'm not rushing between appointments, so your dog or cat gets my full attention while I'm there. When pets stay with me, they have plenty of room to settle in. My apartment has a big, spacious living room and kitchen area, and I usually set up a cozy corner just for them so they always have a safe spot to retreat to, while still being free to roam and explore the rest of the apartment. I let them explore at their own pace and approach me when they're ready, rather than the other way around. I might try to make contact with a treat here and there, but I never force it if they're not comfortable yet. For walks, I'm lucky to live close to three parks, so there's always a good spot nearby to stretch their legs.
